Chapter Nineteen

Siegfried woke up with an excruciating headache. Several times he pressed his head hoping the pain would lessen but the pain didn't lessen at all. He tried to get up but he felt something holding his body. He winced and pulled back the blanket.

"Hey, CAMERON CARTER!!" he cried out loud when he saw his cousin sleeping soundly while hugging him. He immediately pushed the man's body until his cousin almost fell off the bed.

Cameron hissed in annoyance. He doesn't like it when other people disturb his sleep. Even if it's Sieg though.

"What are you doing here, eh?" mumbled Siegfried as he got out of bed. He pressed his head again. Hell, how much did I actually drink last night?

Cameron opened his eyes and glanced at his cousin. "Of course, sleeping, Sieg. Last night you were very drunk, that's why I took you. Your mother allowed me to sleep here" said Cameron while hugging the pillow. He intended to go back to sleep.

Siegfried quickly pulled the pillow. "Wake up!! If you want to sleep, go home by yourself, Carter."

Cameron groaned in annoyance. Then he got up and ruffled his hair. "Hey, you should be thanking me, Lowells. If I didn't bring you home last night then…"

Siegfried looked at the man suspiciously. "What happened last night? As I recall, we were just drinking with Lawyer Schift and his friends." He then threw the pillow on the bed.

"Well, it looks like you're still pretty drunk. Just so you know, you almost…"

"Almost what?"

Cameron smirked. "If I think about it, why would I say it? You're always being mean to me. You're lucky enough, I always try to keep you out of trouble when you're drunk, Lowells."

"Fine. You can go back to work under your father's supervision. Well, I don't think the job is bad either," said Siegfried as he walked towards the bathroom.

Cameron rolled his eyes. "Hey!! Hey!! You know the reason I work under your tutelage is because I don't want to work under my father's tutelage. Oh, Siegfried Lowells!!"

Siegfried smiled. "Then tell me what happened last night, Carter. I think you can start talking after I'm done showering."

He then closed the bathroom door while his cousin snorted in disgust.

Damn you, Siegfried Lowells. But I think he'd be ashamed of himself if he heard that. Hahahahaha…

Blaze sat at the dining table in excruciating pain. Benice smiled faintly seeing him immediately give a bowl of soup to his sister. He glanced at her and mumbled "thank you" before finally devouring the soup.

"This is the first time you've come home drunk. Jae is really overwhelmed to take you to the room. You have to thank him later," said his sister.

He just nodded. He was still busy finishing the soup made by Benice. The woman just looked at him with a smile. Blaze glanced at her slightly uncomfortably. "Why are you looking at me like that? Did I do anything weird last night?"

His sister shrugged. "Who knows? I didn't ask Jae anything. But your friend complains about how embarrassing you are at the bar. Chae called me and asked how you were."

Blaze frowned. "I feel like I didn't do anything. I remember."

"Is that true? But Jae and Chae don't seem to agree. You should probably ask them about what happened last night at the bar. Finish the soup, I have to go. See you at dinner, Blaze."

Blaze now only looked at Benice, who was leaving. It feels like last night nothing happened. He only drinks with Jae. Oh, with Siegfried Lowells and Cameron Carter too. Coincidentally, the two clients came to his cousin's bar and Jae – very kindly – asked them to have a drink together.

Eh? Siegfried Lowells and Cameron Carter?

He tried to remember the chronology of last night's events. But the effects of alcohol are still strong. He felt that his head wanted to explode. He smiled softly as he rubbed his forehead.

"I guess I should ask Jae about last night."

Cameron spread jam on his bread and looked at Siegfried, who was still staring intently. "Are you sure you want to know? Just so you know, because of what you did, the bar owner almost called a bodyguard to pull you out."

Siegfried hissed in annoyance. "Just tell me, Carter."

"You take the risk, okay?" said Cameron, who then devoured the bread.

Siegfried frowned. "What risk? I'm just curious about what happened last night. Well, I didn't commit a crime, did I?"

Cameron swallowed his bread and put the rest of the bread on his plate. "Alright, since this is your wish. So, hold your temper from killing me, okay? You owe me that I managed to stop you before you did that embarrassing thing to Lawyer Schift. Oh, my God… Even if I think back on last night, I really didn't think that you…"

"CAMERON CARTER!! Do not talk too much. Say it fast! What did I almost do to Lawyer Schift, eh?" cried Siegfried annoyed.

Well, he has been like a madman because of his curiosity. Besides, what did he do – oh, what did he almost do to Blaze Schift to…

"Well, just so you know my dear cousin, you almost kissed Lawyer Schift. Or maybe more accurately, you two almost made out."

"WHAT?!"

*Flashback*

Cameron watched Sieg, who seemed very bored. Maybe it was a little bit of his fault for forcing his cousin into this bar. But they need some time to relax because these few months, the company often gets into trouble.

He sighed and turned his attention to Blaze, who was busy with his own drink. Meanwhile, Jae was chatting excitingly with one of the women introduced to Cameron named Danica. "So, Lawyer Schift, you come to the bar often?"

Blaze suddenly looked at Cameron. "Just Blaze, please. We're out of work. Well, like you're just called Cameron."

Cameron smiled.

"Well, I don't go to bars very often. Only occasionally when Jae really whines. I prefer to be at home," Blaze said a little loudly.

The sound of the music is really deafening.

Cameron nodded in understanding and glanced slightly at his cousin. "You're exactly like Sieg. He also doesn't like crowds. He prefers piles of work documents."

Blaze smiled and looked at Siegfried, who didn't pay attention to them. Then he took another sip of his drink. Cameron swiftly poured the whiskey back into his glass.

"Thank you."

Cameron now turns to Sieg. He handed a drink to his cousin. "Sieg... do you want a drink?"

The man turned and looked at the glass in his cousin's hand. He took a breath and took it. Then he drank it straight away. Cameron smirked and poured the whiskey back into his glass. Within seconds, he drank again. Now, Cameron's naughty idea appears to see his very bad mood. The man kept pouring whiskey into Sieg's glass every time his cousin finished drinking it.

Blaze paid a little attention to the two of them. Well, he could see Cameron's pranks and he felt that Siegfried actually knew the man's pranks. But he was a little surprised why he let Cameron work on him like that. And without realizing it, he also finished his whiskey and refilled it.

He doesn't know how many times he has poured whiskey into his glass. But it felt like his body had become lighter. And he liked that feeling.

Jae frowned when Blaze had almost finished half the bottle of whiskey Chae had given him. He quickly pulled the glass from the man's hand. "Hey, I didn't invite you here to get you drunk, Blaze Schift!" Jae exclaimed.

Blaze snorted and took his glass back. "But you brought me here to relax a little, didn't you? So, let me have a drink."

Danica sighed. "Hey, Blaze. You can't get drunk! Chae will be killed by your sister if you come home drunk."

Blaze took a sip of his whiskey and smirked. "Chae is not that stupid to let my sister kill her, Danica. Let me have one more drink, okay? I don't ma…"

His words stopped. He covered his mouth and placed the glass on the table. Then he rushed to the toilet. Jae and Danica now just shook their heads. Well, Blaze Schift is not a reliable drinker. His tolerance level was only one bottle of soju and looking at the bottle of whiskey that was now halfway down, it was already over his tolerance limit.

Danica looked at Jae closely. "You don't drink anymore, right? You have to take him home."

"Alright!" said Jae.

Then their attention was drawn to Cameron, who shouted loudly and Siegfried, who ran towards the toilet. Cameron sighed and looked at them. He smirked.

"Oh, sorry. My cousin is not a heavy drinker. His stomach is so weak with alcohol," said Cameron, who then poured himself back the whiskey.

*****

"Because you and Blaze didn't come back for twenty minutes, Jae and I finally followed you to the toilet. Honestly, I'm also surprised to see you almost do that. Even if you remember, you yourself said that you are not gay," said Cameron.

"It's not what it looks like!!" Siegfried shouted loudly.

He massaged his head hard. He doesn't remember anything about last night's events and from his cousin's story, he can vaguely remember. But still, regarding the incident he almost… oh, he really doesn't remember.

Cameron looked at Sieg seriously. "Sieg, you don't remember what you were talking about in the toilet? Because you know, your attitude towards Blaze is… really beyond expectation. Maybe because of the influence of alcohol but…"

Siegfried looked at Cameron closely. "Cameron Carter, even if I remember it feels…. Oh my God!!" he then left the dining room and headed for his room.

Cameron took a deep breath. Then he finished the bread. "As expected, he would feel embarrassed after hearing that. But the other biggest question is why the two of them look like that… Ah, never mind."
