3 Goading Out Reverse Flash

Central City was one of the only cities that was calm while it was being protected by a superhero. Metropolis had Superman and Superman had to fight beings like Bizarro, Doomsday, Brainiac and Zod, beings capable of demolishing cities with just shockwaves of their fists. Batman got sickos like Bane and Joker who use chemicals to fight. So, when Arthur arrived in Central City, he did not get mugged by a passerby like what would happen in Gotham. But, he could tell that tensions were high in the city because it was the birthplace of Metahumans.

"Hey, can you tell me whether the Flash passes here daily," he told a security guard.

"Yeah, we see him run past Everytime there's a crime. Why? Do you have an emergency?" the security guard asked him. Arthur smiled cruelly.

"That I do," he answered before punching him unconscious. "Let's see whether he will come and stop me." He then took the man's pepper spray and got into the hotel he was guarding.

"Everyone on the floor, this is a robbery!" he shouted. The receptionist was taken back by this then decided to press the emergency button only to receive an eyefull of pepper spray, making her kneel as she squealed in pain, rubbing her eyes. Two more security guard came to stop him but two punches on their faces made them fly back, unconscious.

"For the last time, everyone on the ground, NOW!" Arthur roared the last part, making everyone get on the ground. "Good. I want you all to put your phones, jewellery and money on the table as fast as you can. Failure to which I will start claiming fingers!" The women screamed in terror as everyone started doing as told. Arthur looked at this scene with little interest, his ears trained hard to hear if the speedster will arrive. The cops did arrive but they were practically fodder to him. He then heard a Woosh come into the building and looking at the place it stopped, he saw the Flash himself. He was inside a red one piece suit with a yellow lightning bolt insignia on his chest.

"You must be the most stupid criminal I have seen this year. Robbing without a gun!" Flash mocked him but Arthur smiled.

"I was aiming for you all along," he said before charging at him and throwing a fist. Flash just moved out of its way, making Arthur punch the wall behind him, causing it to break and making the Flash wary.

"Quite a punch you got there. But, its not enough to catch me," Flash taunted him but Arthur had a smile on his face. He could feel his whole body change as he charged at the Flash once again, faster than before. Flash was taken back by this burst of speed but still ducked the first fist. Arthur threw the second fist, faster than the first one, making Flash even more surprised that he couldn't react in time. The punch got him right in the gut, sending him flying away. He broke a couple of tables in the hotel before he came to a stop, groaning in pain.

"Is that the best you can do?" Arthur asked him, his thirst for battle rising as he walked towards Flash who quickly got up, despite spitting out blood and glared at Arthur.

"Let's see how fast you really are," Flash said as a lightning flashed in his eyes. Arthur saw him vanish then countless blows rained on his body over and over again. When it stopped, the momentum of the blows threw him all around before he was thrown to his left by the last fist. He could feel his Borns had definitely been broken but he was smiling. He could feel them healing in a crazy rate as he got back up to his already healed feet. His durability became even more crazy together with his speed and reaction.

"That's it, show me more!" Arthur said with a crazy grin, his fists clenched once again. He then moved but the speed in which he moved was already a blur to everyone but Flash whose eyes widened in horror when he saw just how fast he had become. Arthur caught up with him in just a second and punched him out of the building through the wall. He crashed into a car, coughing out blood and his ribs definitely broken.

"Guys, the person I'm fighting is getting faster the more I beat him. I think I definitely broke my ribs and my whole body is aching!" Barry said to his comms. He then heard a crash so he looked up and saw Arthur walk out through the hole he just punched through. His eyes scanned around then landed on him. His mouth formed a malicious grin as his fingers balled into fists. "He's coming at me!"

"Barry, you have to move!" Caitlin said through the comms.

"I...I can't move!" Barry exclaimed in terror. Arthur was looking at him like he was prey and it did not sit well with him. He saw him pick up a sewer lid with two hands then loft it above his head, ready to smash it onto his head when a shot rang out. Arthur looked at his left hand and saw a bullet lodged slightly into his skin. It could not go past through just the epidermis due to how durable his whole body became. He then looked at where the shot came from and saw that a cop just shot at him.

"Retards!" he cursed at them before throwing the lid at the man who took cover immediately but was not fast enough due to Arthur's speed. The lid hit him on his right shoulder as he was ducking and sent him flying away.

"Andy! You son of a bitch!" a plain clothed detective cried out before firing his whole clip onto Arthur's face. This time, the bullets only made his skin redden on impact.

"Leave us alone!" Arthur roared, got hold a minivan before throwing it towards the detective in anger. Flash saw this and gritted his teeth, forced himself to get up and ran to the cops. He carried them out of harm's way before he stopped due to his injury becoming worse. The minivan crashed into the police cars making them explode but Arthur had already seen Flash taking the cops out of harm's way.

"Your dedication to such weak species will be your downfall!" Arthur told Barry as he came closer.

"I only use my powers to help people in need and kick butts of people like you!" Barry whizzed.

"There's nobody like me in this universe so don't think you will find anyone else. Besides, I do not care of such trivial things like good or evil. To each their own. All I want is someone who is strong enough to kill me. That kind of person will make my battle craved body satisfied," Arthur said then got hold of Flash by his hair and dragged him to a police car. He let go then ripped the trunk open. There, he took out a police issued shot gun.

"I have always viewed such weapons as inferior since I existed because they are not enough to kill me. But, to you they can be lethal, right?" Arthur asked and cocked the gun. He then placed the muzzle on his chest. "I dully hope you have something to save your ass in three seconds, Flash. Maybe a last shred of strength or will power to make you speed away. That way I can destroy everything you love and you grow strong and in turn make me grow strong too. Otherwise it will be a shame. One!" Arthur's finger in the trigger became firm and Barry knew his death was near. "Two!" Barry felt his heart beat faster as his self preservation kicked in. Adrenaline was been produced crazily but the injury he had suffered was making everything obsolete. "Thr..." A blur made of yellow lightning suddenly whisked Barry away in the middle of Arthur's word. Arthur could not believe that the Reverse Flash was so fast that even he could only see a blur when he took Barry away. This in turn made him excited even more for it meant his target was stronger than he thought.

"Good, good!" he said as he threw the shotgun away, staring the direction Reverse Flash had run to. "The stronger you are the more satisfying this battle really is!"
