16 Episode 16 ...

Eigeel found that Scarlet was constantly absorbing magical particles in the air without ceasing.

A normal person would feel sick since absorbing huge amounts of magic energy beyond their capacity can end their life. However Scarlet looked just fine. In fact, she doesn't seem like she was about to blow up any time soon.

Eigeel suddenly recalled the strange thing he saw when he was trying to locate Scarlet's exact location using the soul binding. Since their souls were connected, he saw Scarlet's soul through the link and he discovered that the Queen's soul was divided into two parts.

It's not a common occurrence to have a divided soul. A person's soul can be seen in the form of a burning fire with its own special hue. A normal person has one but Scarlet has two of them. He saw her soul as a burning blue fire and other side, red.

The soul Eigeel knew that belonged to the queen was blue, while the other one on the right side was a mystery to him.

Whose soul is it?

"Uhh. Everyone, I think we should leave..." Levin suddenly said, looking at the direction where the dragon lied.

Suddenly, they heard a rumbling sound that belonged reptile. This is not good... They saw the dirt that bured the dragon was being lifted up and set aside. The dragon is waking up!

"Eireen! Open the portal! Now!" Eigeel ordered urgently.

Eireen separated herself from Scarlet, her face turning serious. "I'm on it! Silver, please protect the Queen."

"My pleasure." Silver took a defensive position in front of Scarlet, while Levin and Aqua supported Silver by acting as the front lines.

Eigeel and Jasper stood beside Scarlet, ready if things turn sideways.

Eireen closed her eyes, trying her best to concentrate once more on creating the portal. Unfortunately, her magic was running low. Sending all the members of the Order to the third layer of the Other Dimension to save Scarlet almost consumed all of her magical energy. Now, she has a little bit left to use.

Eireen was going to turn to her brother and ask for help when a familiar voice stopped her.

"Keep concentrating."

It's Talon. He already knew that she was out of energy so he willingly shared his energy with her by placing his hand on her shoulder and transmitted his power to her.

Whilst the two were busy making the portal, Jasper was becoming impatient.

"How long is the portal going to be finished?"

Eigeel was surprised when Jasper asked him. Did this little kid just ask talk to him? At first, he didn't acknowledge the presence of the little boy beside Scarlet. But now that the little brat was talking to him, he started to wonder who and why is this little kid with her.

"It'll take time since my sister exhausted her magic for coming here." he answered, seeing Jasper's expression changed from being impatient to being unimpressed. Is this boy really a boy?

Without thinking about it anymore, Eigeel reached his hand out and messed up Jasper's hair. "Don't worry, kid. Stay beside the queen, we're going to protect you. "

Eigeel didn't know those words pissed Jasper so bad he was gritting his teeth at him.

This man actually dares to belittle his capabilities! If he had all of his powers it wouldn't 'take time' for him to make the portal and bring his wife out of this wretched place.

"Roar!"

"It's coming!" Silver shouted.

"Oh, I've been itching to fight for so long." Levin cracked his knuckles in anticipation.

"Me too. I've never had a decent fight these past few years." Aqua agreed, grinning in excitement as she spinned the silver Triton in her hands.

Suddenly, Scarlet shouted making the others turn to her. "Wait!" she said, her eyes looking for someone. "We can't leave without Anselme!"

"Who?" Aqua was confused. Without a sound, Red charged towards Aqua and bit her leg.

"Aw! Red! What are you doing you-"

"You forgot your manners, Aqua." Eigeel shook his head in disbelief. "You can't address her majesty like your equal."

Aqua's eyes widen in shock and immediately look at Scarlet with a regretful expression. "I deeply apologize, my queen." Aqua bowed her head in repentance. Her brows furrowed in pain when Red growled and bit her leg even harder.

"You're forgiven..." Scarlet turned towards Red who was still biting Aqua's leg with a locked jaw and said, "Red, that's enough." those two words easily made the ferocious little fox to let go.

Aqua instantly healed the bitten spot using her water magic.

"Your majesty, may I inquire who is this... Anselme person?" Eigeel asked, his brows furrowed in concern when the Aqua issue has been addressed.

"He's my subordinate." Jasper answered when Scarlet was about to answer the same thing.

"Your subordinate?" Eigeel's eyes narrowed in suspicion Jasper's face. Before he could ask another question, Eireen suddenly shouted.

"The portal is finished!" Eireen shouted happily which earned her a disappointed groan from Levin and Aqua who, in fact, wanted to stay longer. It's been so long and they hadn't experience a fight for hundreds of years!

Eigeel gestured for Scarlet to go in the portal first but she declined. "No, we still have to wait for Anselme." she said, determined to stay longer. She will not go inside the portal without Anselme. She wasn't going to leave anyone behind.

"Don't worry." Jasper touched Scarlet's arm making her look at him. "He's already here." he said, snapping his fingers and Anselme immediately appeared beside Jasper in a flash, and in good condition, of course.

Scarlet was surprised. "Oh!" She's still not used to him appearing behind her like this. "You're okay!"

The man in black armour respectfully bowed his head. "Thank you for concerning yourself with my safety." his attitude towards Scarlet was different now. That's because Anselme knew that he was in the presence of a royal, and a queen at that! He may act familiar with her before, but now that her subordinates have come to fetch her, he must bear in mind his personal standing in the hierarchy.

"Your majesty, now that he's here. Please step into the portal so we can leave this place." Eigeel said which Scarlet answered with not one, but a series of nods.

"Uh, yeah, sure! Sorry for the hold up." she said, doing peace sign with her hands which confused Eigeel. He didn't know what the sign meant, and what it was for but he let it go.
