Chapter 13

"Ah, good morn-" Uwe said, seeing me walk into the surprisingly empty dining hall, only the three adults sitting at the table.

"Morning. Where is the rest of the kids." I said, nodding.

"Still sleeping, lucky for you," Leah said with a sad smile.

'Not really. I scout it out beforehand.' I thought awkwardly.

"I guess so," I said, tugging on my left sleeve.

"You okay there? Your eyes seem …red. Like a lot." Uwe said, nodding to his explanation.

Bonk.

Bonk.

"We explained to you last night to never bring it up if a girl has puffy eyes," Lina yelled, hitting Uwe several times.

"Oh, so that's what you guys meant," Uwe said, going on like it didn't hurt at all.

"You guys never stop bullying him, do you," I said, taking the seat close to Lina while trying to hide my left wrist.

"If we did, he would get a big head," Leah said, looking at Lina and me with a raised eyebrow.

"So, what is the plan for today?" I said with a dry laugh.

"We got you some drawing materials and a lot of paper so you could give us a plan and list of what you would need to build your warehouse," Lina said, snapping her fingers, making multiple maids walk in with several crates and one with a plate of food.

"That's cool and all, but I want food first."

"Go ahead. We will explain the rest while you eat," Lina said, gesturing towards the food on the table.

"Uh."

"You helper I told you about will return to the capital in a week. So you will have a week of preparing before starting."

"Gulp, why is she out of the capital."

'Isn't she like their child?' I thought, looking at them weirdly

"Uuh, she went hunting?" Lina said, tilting her head to see my reaction.

"Why is that a question."

"Well, she has a free spirit, and we gave up on keeping tabs on her," Lina explains, shrugging.

"Wait, what are you guys talking about?" Uwe asked, looking at us weirdly.

"Oh yeah, I got Ren here to teach Serena about construction and whatever else she is going to do while building her warehouse," Lina explains, getting wide eyes from both of them.

"She will do that?" Uwe asked happily.

"Will she survive," Leah said, more worried than Uwe?

"Oi, who do you mean by surviving," I asked, a bit annoyed.

"I mean Serena, of course," Leah said, sounding quite serious.

"What the fuck? What do you think of me!" I shouted in surprise.

"You are going to work her to death. I know it," Leah said, pointing her finger at me.

"I won't do that! I would do most of the lifting anyways. All she will do is hold things in place."

"But she won't learn anything like that."

"She will if she concentrates on what I am doing."

"She is too jumpy for that, though."

"What sort of person have you given me for her not even able to do that."

" energetic, doesn't listen to anyone. Loves knowledge. Glutton. And much more things you will need to see for yourself." Lina explains with a broad smile.

"Ugh, what a pain."

'Guess it will be a good distraction.'

"Getting back to your planning. Those boxes hold everything you will need. Hopefully, if you need something more, let your maid know. She will go get it for you." Leah explained

"Cool, I think I won't need anything more but a bunch of water bottles for a while," I said, nodding.

"And the food is taken to your room, I presume," Lina smiled.

"Yeah, that too."

"Great, now for the other news. We will be going out for a while."

"Reason?"

"Need to go inspect other countries and brief them on the peace treaty," Lina explained, nodding with a big frown.

"Other countries? I thought everyone was under Uwe." I said, surprised, pointing at Uwe.

"A bit casual, but I will take it," Uwe mumbled, nodding in satisfaction.

"Yes, everyone is under him in a way, but it's impossible to run a world by yourself, so we made countries and put someone in control or gave the person in control someone to support them from our forces."

"Sigh, just read the last couple of years' history to understand it better."

"I see. That makes sense to an extent."

"Selone, come in," Leah said, looking at the door.

Looking at the door, I saw a demon with dark brown skin girl walk in. She had shoulder-black hair with 4 small black horns coming out of it. Weirdly enough, she had black eyes with green irises, but that wasn't the only weird thing. It was that her eyebrows were white like white, white. Albino white. Her dress was the ultimate anime maid outfit showing off her colossal D cups.

"Hey! That's just unfair." I said, staring at her chest.

"Well, this is Selone. Hey, stop staring at her chest like that!" Leah said before yelling at me.

"Is just unfair," I mumbled, taking my eyes away from her.

"I wouldn't be envious, Princess Ren. I do get a lot of back pains." SeLone said, rubbing her back with a wry smile.

"P-princess?"

"Oh, and she does know about your origin. So no need to hide too much." Lina informed calmly.

"Hmm, okay." I hummed, nodding, not really having any complaints.

"Great, with that, finished, we will be off," Uwe said, standing up before walking out.

"Great, enjoy whatever you guys were going to do," I said, returning to my food.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Selone, how old are you? If you don't mind telling me." I asked, taking the last bite of my food.

"54, Princess."

"Uh uh, 54. I presume that's quite young for demons?" I said, standing up from my seat or jumping off it.

"Hmm, I guess you can say we are in our mid-life crisis period?"

"... I don't actually understand what you mean by that, but I presume you mean 30 by human standers."

"Yes, we demons mostly live up to 200 years."

"Is a year here the same as on earth," I said, not very surprised at the number.

"Yes, our scientists have been researching the reason for that, as we are the same size as earth but have 2 suns."

"Two? Wow, that's... cool and weird."

"Oh, also, we adapted to the yearly human timetable as it was much simpler than ours at the time."

"That's good to know."

"Anything else, princess."

"I want a world map, and stop calling my princess. It feels weird."

"Will do that, princess." Selone nodding.

"You didn't stop, though."

"Oh, but princess, the world map won't help if you want military information."

"Why would I need that? I just want to know what the layout is of the world. Nothing too complicated. Well, for the time being, after all."

"Of course, princess."

"Great, while you go get that get some water bottles, a lot of them. Also, something to keep them cold."

"Should I bring it to your room?"

"Yes, please."

"Same with these crates, princess."

"Oh, that's not needed."

"I can't have princess carry them."

"As easy as it would have been. Why would I do that if I can teleport it there?" I said, looking up at her while all the crates disappeared.

"I forgot you can do that."

"Oh, oh, I also need to know what sort of metals you guys have. Can you get me a book on that, also? Some history books will be great?"

"I will do so, princess."

"Thanks a lot, and sorry I am leaving so much work for you in the first hour."

"That is what I am here for, princess," Selone said, bowing before walking out.

"...sigh, I won't be able to get used to this," I mumbled, shaking my head a bit annoyed.

'I hate that I need to ask her to get everything. It makes me feel useless. Well, I am a fucken child again.' I thought, looking around, making sure I was alone.

Sighing, I looked at my left wrist, which was bandaged closed.

"This will take some time," I mumbled, rubbing my face before.
