2 CHAPTER 2: CEO OF THE COMPANY

When my dad decision for me to take over the main branch of our shipping business that is in NY. I could not say No to the old man. He has done so much about this business generations to generations. I am the eldest so it is I to be in charge the main branch.

Today is the official day that I could be call as the new CEO of the company. My dad still involves in some ways but not 100% of it. He trusts me, my abilities and capabilities in this business.

Some executives saw me already here but not as a CEO. I already prove my part before and they do not need to questions my ability in handling this kind of business.

I am being call, one of the eligible bachelors in NY is big deal to all the single women who wish to be with me, marry my money and me.

I am not that stupid to have tangle in a relationship. I had already been there than that in relationship that made me almost gave up my life from depression. Even I am not getting younger; thirty is still young for me.

I love my singleness no hassle in everything I want to do with my life. I can have every woman if I want to every night to warm up my bed. But in a serious relationship again that would be out of the questions.

I do not want to go to that level when I was being stupid for love, not anymore. I already passed that pain and realized that it is not worth it anymore.

My company has four elevators to use. The two were for the ordinary employees, the other one for the big ranks in different departments that can access the other side of the floor. And the last one for the CEO of the company. Only the CEO elevator has two-way doors that can access to any side he wants to go.

No ordinary employees can go beyond his floor except the CEO Secretaries even the secretaries not allowed to use the CEO elevator itself.

The higher rank officials were at the same floor as the CEO but there is a division on it. They could not go through inside without being scan their thumb finger only the CEO Secretaries have the access to it. That is how the floor plans in the last floor then to the rooftop too.

There is a side for the employees who wish to smoke, stay during break time. While the rooftop of the CEO is different, there is a helipad and penthouse.

His dad never uses that penthouse. He just builds it in case one of his sons wishes to stay there. Now that he is the new appointed CEO, he is planning to stay there or go to his condominium. It depends upon his mood type.

I went straight to the elevator with my loyal secretary / friend that always been with me since I started working in the company as my assistant.

My assistant is two years younger than I am and son of my dad's assistant. His family has been with us through generations that one of them will serve the next CEO of the company.

That is why Eddy, my assistant name was task to be with me through good and bad. He was also train to martial arts, shooting that can help serve us in times if necessary.

I am very lucky to have him by my side all the time, a very devotee one. I can entrust my business to him not just the shipping lines. My own business as well.

I have not yet officially introduced to all the employees in the main branch. Some of them does not know me or see me. My assistant told me they will do it officially for everybody to know.

Eddy was texting me that he is already at the basement parking area waiting for me. I told him to pick me up early last night since I am in charge now in our company main branch.

Putting my suit on before grabbing my wallet and phone with me. I arrived in a few minutes, saw Eddy standing beside the car.

"Good morning, boss." He greeted as he opened the back door for me.

"Just drop me at the entrance and go directly to my company. Anita told me about the files I need to approve. She placed it in my table. I want you to get it then bring it to me in the office." I instructed him.

"Got it, boss." Anita is also one of my trusted secretaries in my own company. She can access my office too but she asks permission first before putting it inside. No one will allow to enter it without my approval. Anita and Eddy knew that since they work for me for years.

Dropping me off at the entrance, I walked in. It's still early, not crowded at all in the lobby when I came in.

"Good morning, boss." The securities greeted me in sync as soon as I entered.

I go straight to the Private elevator with gold coated door. I placed my index finger to open it. Walking in as I press my floor but accidentally press the wrong floor.

The elevator door opened; I saw a woman I did not expect that moment. Her eyes were widened from shock as she saw me.

She did not greet me but froze. My elevator door slowly close but she was still standing there until I could not see her. I chuckled as I imagined her face. Her face was cute. Wait?!! What did I say?

My mind was occupied for that woman in a little moment there. The elevator door opens to my floor. Walking towards my new office that my dad's using before. It was still the same, nothing's change. Only my desk name plate written on it now as CEO.

I look around the office and recalled my memories from my childhood. I have been here with my siblings too, playing around.

Now, I am start working. New place for me from now on.
