Dodge the Bacon

Alivia's POV

I brought the food to the table, starting with the eggs and bacon. Walking out to grab the rest of the meal when I noticed how everyone kept taunting Clint with the bacon.

The look on his face is absolutely priceless. Especially when Steve was about to pass some to him. Natasha snatching it right out of Steve's hands in front of poor Clint. Handing it to a smug Tony with a certain glint in her eye, causing me to chuckle. I couldn't help shaking my head at their childish banter as I left the room.

'Precious, so precious' I couldn't help but think.

Grabbing a few plates of French Toast and the Pancakes, I went back to the table. Finding they are still going strong. I must say watching Clint lay over the table is a sight for sore eyes. Having no clue how it came to this, "Do I even want to know?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"Alivia!" Clint shouts smiling "They won't share the bacon!"

I paused "Sorry, Clint. I'm not the king of the castle." I shrugged. "Not my call." I couldn't tell if Tony was grinning or smirking at this point. "Can't help ya, kiddo."

I shake my head once again, this time grinning as I head back to grab the last of the food, the fruit sauce. I still hear them bickering, bantering and poking lots of fun at one another. Plenty of laughter here. Making me the happiest I've ever been in, well ...forever.

I honestly can't remember the last time I had a meal at the table, a happy meal at that. I've practically been eating by myself in my room. She never really liked seeing me much. Not after what happened. Not after—

"You alive in there?" Someone shouts, releasing me from my dilemma.

"Nah," I smile coming into the room. I would have waved my hand for effect if not for the fruit bowls in my arms. "My ears are bleeding out with all the bickering rubbing them raw. See?" I playfully ask. Slowly moving as if my legs are a deer walking for the first time, falling here, stumbling there, plenty of mini shaking. Oh! And don't forget the dramatic trip.

We were all laughing by the time I set the bowls on the table. I sat down in an empty seat between Tony and Steve. I was pretty surprised I didn't have to pull a chair from the living room or something. I guess Tony probably just bought a new one sometime yesterday and had it delivered. Who needs magic when you have money, though neither are bullet proof.

It was nice to see everyone had dug in, even if it was before I sat down at the table. I find it to be a pretty big compliment. As I was piling on food not my plate, I noticed everyone had bacon, including me, except Clint.

"Uh, Clint?" I point to his plate. "You didn't want any?" Then gesture to the bacon.

He just scoffs at me, "Oh, so Now you care? Where were you a few minutes ago?"

"Cooking." I answer. "So why—"

"He stole some when you were cooking." Natasha mentioned.

"Ah," I looked back to Clint. "Well that would do it." Clint just rolled his eyes. "Ever hear, 'Patience is Virtue'?" I say. I start eating but then pause after hearing Tony laugh. "Though I know Tony hasn't."

"Hey!" He mocks defensively.

The team laughs and Bruce just chuckles as I continue seriously saying , "You can't deny it Tony." I say pointing my fork at Iron Man. "What was it you said, oh yes... 'I have a Plan. Attack!' " I mocked in a deep voice, before continuing. "Then bomber diving into action. Cool scene by the way." I winked as I went back to my meal.

"I thought you said you wouldn't give us 'movie' detailed, Alivia." Steve mentioned.

I looked to my left, "Sure, but you were all in this one." then turning to look at all of the Avengers, "So, I don't really see the point in keeping that to myself. Most of you should now what happened anyway. And Besides—"

I smile turning my head to the right to face a proudly smirking Tony, "Someone's got to be the hot head of the group." I Really wanted to ruffle his hair or pat his shoulder, but I wasn't sure if he'd like that. Personal space and all, but it was Really, really hard not to. Especially when his smirk fell. It was so cute. It's super hard not to ruffle and kiss cute things. I couldn't help smiling back at him, even while fighting back the urge. I had to squeeze my hand just to be safe.

Luckily, I was interrupted, "Ha! You got that right!" Clint gleamed as he reached for bacon. Only for his hand to be smacked by Natasha, causing him to drop the bacon he was holding.

Once again I was thrown into a few laughs and giggles, fully enjoying the time I've spent here even if it was only a few short days, "Seriously, this is the best breakfast I've had in a really long time!"

"What do you mean." Asks Steve.

"I've been eating alone for a while now." I reply, not totally lying. "It's just nice eating with others." I shrug, brushing it off.

"You mean living in You're apartment?" Steve asks.

I just smile, "Something like that." I had finished eating a while ago. Grabbing my plate, I get up and head to the sink. I didn't want to talk about it anymore, but I didn't know if Steve would take the hint. So I busied myself instead. "When you guys are done could you place your dishes next to the sink, please. I'll take care of them." I called out as I started to wash the dishes.

Of all the people Steve came up. I almost groaned. "You made breakfast, you shouldn't have to do the dishes." Even Tony came in, "Leave them. I'll have them taken care of."

I couldn't help but laugh, causing Tony and Steve to look a bit confused. I smiled at Tony, "If you're anything like my uncle, you'll just buy new dishes."

The man smirked, "I could." I chuckled presuming he was teasing, "That'd be a waste. Besides" I gestured to the kitchen, "it'll give me a chance to figure all this out. Don't want to have help finding things forever, now do I?" I gave him a playful look.

"Well if you need help," he smirked back.

"I've got it mister." I winked at him, this was just too much fun. "Besides I'm sure you guys have some stuff you need to get done. And its not like I'm cleaning France. So I'm good." I heard somebody cough and mention something about my previous room. "At least I keep that one contained!" I shout to the offender, sticking out my tongue.

"Why's Steve blushing?" Clint asked.

"You don't want to know." Bruce mentioned hoping they would drop the topic.

"I think I would" Tony piped in walking back with Steve.

"No!" Steve interjects. When everyone turned to him, "Let's just get going."

And they set off on their day, making sure to add their dishes to one side of the sink, thanking me for breakfast.

Clint's POV

I see Alivia bring home the bacon! Along with some eggs. The ones I had before were delicious and who can resist bacon.  After the bacon gets placed n the table Alivia leaves and I happily reach out grabbing a price of bacon.

Only for Nat to snatch it out of my hands, "Come on, Nat." I pout. She taunts me by saying it before she swallows it. I scoff. This time I reach out to grab the plate of bacon.

This time its not there. It's in Tony's hands, a smirk on his smug little face, 'the bastard' I narrow my eyes at him. "You wouldn't dare." I threaten.

"Don't I?" He taunts, batting his eyelash's, playing innocent, as he passes Bruce the plate.

I'm in dismay as the plate passes from person to person. A piece of bacon tragically lost after each passing. Sometimes more than one casualty happens.

Somehow Steve ends up with the plate, 'When did he get there' I wonder but that's not as important right now. I look at Steve and hold out my hands. After taking a few slices, the devil, looks back at me and smiles. I'm about to glare at him, but he started to hand the plate to me. I smirk, 'Good Boy.'

Only for Tony to snatch the plate from Steves hands, "Nuh uh, Capsicle." Earning a glare from Steve and me, "Don't want mister Thief to get his reward." Tony says nudges his head towards me.

"Its a free country!" I pout, arms over my chest.

"Yes," Nat grabs the plate from him, "and we're Free to keep you from the bacon." Taking another slice she hands the plate to Bruce.

"Come on, ...Bruce?" I ask hoping he'll show some support.

"I'm not the one who took the bacon." He mentions calmly as he grabs a few slices.

"You just DID!" I whine.

Nat just chuckles, "I wouldn't mind some more." And Bruce passes her the plate. I could only scoff as the pass the plate amongst each other. Even Steve joined in once he learned about my earlier actions.

I scoff. 'Not Fair!' I just bid my time. Waiting till Tony gets the plate. Spangled muscles would be hard to trip up, Nat would make me pay, dearly and I didn't want to risk a hulk. So as soon a Tony got the plate I literally slid across to table towards my prize.

Tony only had to stand. The asshole smirking down at my attempt. "Do I even want to know?" I hear Alivia ask. 'An Ally!'

"Alivia!" I shout, giving her a charming smile "They won't share the bacon!"

She looks at me then at Tony, still holding the plate and gases back at me and smiles. 'Yes!' I couldn't help but think when she gave me that look.

"Sorry, Clint. I'm not the king of the castle." I frowned. "Not my call." she tells me. Shocked. I was shocked. Betrayal. And it was just for housing "Can't help ya, kiddo."

She leaves with a smile on her face and a shake of her head. I'm still shocked, frozen on the table, 'Where's the love?' I wonder.

"I like her." Tony smugly says. I just roll my eyes. "If I hadn't said it before, I like her." Nat roles her eyes, Bruce sighs while Steve and I groan. Me especially since I got off the table.

"Yes, Tony. You've mentioned it before. NUMEROUS times."

"Yes, so hands off Spangles." I chuckle while Steve just rubs his forehead at Tony's remark.

"Tony, you barley know her." Steve sighs exasperated.

"So?" Tony raises an eyebrow, "what's wrong with a little fun?"

"Tony," Bruce chides in.

The good thing about this is everyone is distracted. I reach out quickly, only for the plate to disappear and reappear in Captains hands. "Barton." He warns with a smile.

"I was just getting a drink." I say, this time reaching for my glass as a cover. Steve shakes his head, putting down the bacon. I kept thinking of ways to get the prize.

Then Bruce looks around the room, "Where's Alivia?" I shrug, "Still grabbing the rest of the meal?" I suggest.

Tony being Tony, doesn't put on airs and just shouts, "You alive in there?"

I hear a playful tone "Nah," she smiles, holding some fruit bowls. "My ears are bleeding out with all the bickering. Rubed them raw. See?"

She playfully stumbles in, her legs acting like she'd been sitting on them for hours. Playfully tripping in good measure, almost Iike she's going to drop the bowls. I couldn't help but think she'll fit right in here. Just so long as she doesn't turn out to be some type of spy. Hydra especially.

She sat between Tony and Steve, almost surprised we left her a seat. We started piling more of the food on our plates. I topped my pancakes with strawberries, thinking it'd be nice to try something different. Tony of course when for the blueberries. Even among all this distraction they managed to keep the bacon away from me, the bastards. Even Alivia noticed.

"Uh, Clint?" She points to my plate. "You didn't want any?" Then gestured to the bacon.

"Oh, so Now you care?" I huff, "Where were you a few minutes ago?"

"Cooking." She answers. "So why—" I notice Tony smiling, enjoying every minute of this, so I glare at him.

"He stole some when you were cooking." Natasha pointed out. 'I did not steal. I continently borrowed with no intention of returning it.'

"Ah," She looked back to me. "Well that would do it." I rolled my eyes. "Ever hear, 'Patience is Virtue'?"

'Great now she's giving me a lecture too. No love. None.' I pout.

I hear Tony laugh till, "Though I know Tony hasn't." She finishes, eating some more.

"Hey!" He mocks defensively.

We couldn't help laughing, I wonder if she knows just how true that statement is. She continues, "You can't deny it Tony." She points her fork at Stark. 'This is fun' "What was it you said, oh yes... 'I have a Plan. Attack!' " she mocked in a deep voice. Moving her hand in an arc movement, "Then bomber diving into action." Pausing by the end of the arc, looks at Tony and winks. "Cool scene by the way." And she continued her meal.

"I thought you said you wouldn't give us 'movie' details, Alivia." Steve mentioned.

She looks to Steve, "Sure, but you were all in this one." then she turns to all of us. "So, I don't really see the point in keeping that to myself. Most of you should now what happened anyway. And Besides—" she focuses her gaze on Tony who has a great big smirk She really needs to stop giving this goof an ego boost.

"Someone's got to be the hot head of the group."

"Ha! You got that right!" I said, proud at how she shot him down. I reached for some bacon. Only for Nat to smack my hand, dropping the bacon back on the plate. I pout rubbing my hand. The team, including Alivia laughs at my misery.

"Seriously this is the best breakfast I've had in a really long time!" She pipes in. Her smile wide and joyful, you could almost swear she was a kid on Christmas just about to open her first present.

"What do you mean." Steve asks her.

"I've been eating alone for a while now." I don't know why but she looks sad. "It's just nice eating with others." She shrugs.

"You mean living in you're apartment?" Steve asks. I agreed with Steve, she's probably just missing her family.

She just smiles, "Something like that."

She had finished eating, so she grabed her plate and left for the kitchen. She turned her head over her shoulder an offered, "When you guys are done could you place your dishes next to the sink, please. I'll take care of them." As she started washing hers.

I was perfectly fine with her doing the clean up, but Steve went up to her. "You made breakfast, you shouldn't have to do the dishes." It surprised me a little when Tony made an offer, "Leave them. I'll have them taken care of."

She just laughed, "If you're anything like my uncle, you'll just buy new dishes."

Stark boasted, "I could."

She chuckled, "That'd be a waste. Besides" she gestured to the kitchen, "it'll give me a chance to figure all this out. Don't want to have help finding things forever, now do I?" I shake my head at their banter, she really puts up well with a sarcastic Stark. Its like a game to them.

"Well if you need help," he smirked.

"I've got it mister." she winked at him. "Besides I'm sure you guys have some stuff you need to get done." She points out. True we had some training to do. "And its not like I'm cleaning France. So I'm good."

Nat coughed, mumbling something about the mess in her previous room "At least I kept that one contained!" She shouted at Nat, sticking out her tongue for good measure. Earning a mock gasp from Nat. It surprises me a little to she Nat opening up to her. I looked over to the other guys to make sure I wasn't the only one seeing this. But Bruce and Steve seemed to be acting a bit strange. Especially Steve.

"Why's Steve blushing?" I asked. Wondering what I missed.

"You don't want to know." Bruce quickly mentioned.

"I think I would." Tony piped up. 'Me too for that matter. Though with Steve's blushing, I can take a guess.' I smirk a long with Tony.

"No!" Steve interjects. I turned to him, "Let's just get going." Not that I mind shooting a few targets, I was more curious about Steve's blush. Well, no matter tony and I could try to pry it out of him later, might as well have some fun.

We went to the training room. I'm sparing with Nat, "So what do of make of her?" I ask her, throwing in a few punches and kicks. We weren't going to hard. It was just a warm up and I wanted to know if Nat was warming up to her.

"She seems like a good kid." She punches towards my face and I block it to the side.

"Think she's hiding anything?" I ask throwing another punch.

"Yes," she grabs my arm 'damn.' Flipping me over her shoulder. Slamming me to the ground. I was hopping to interact her, but got distracted instead, 'damn.' "It seems more personal though." Nat stands, flicking her hair behind her ears. She offers me a hand up, I take it.

Dusting myself off, I go to the weapons rack, since Nat's going to take on Captain. "I noticed that too." Bruce pipes up. Normally he doesn't come for training, but today Tony was using his suit to train, well more like test and Bruce wanted to make sure his levels were normal. Or just be there in case Tony did something stupid.

"What do you mean?" I hear Steve ask as I pull an arrow back.

Bruce continues and I release my arrow, "She sometimes has this sad look." He pauses, more than likely was abut to guess what she was sad about until Tony beats hm to the punch, "Probably just home sick, big guy. No biggie" I turn to see Tony's arm around Bruces shoulders.

As the minutes tick by, along with my awesome shots. They are still talking about Alivia while lightly training. I don't see what the big deal is, so she's homesick. Big deal she'll get over it. I take another arrow, aiming over my shoulder, expertly releasing my shot into the center of the bullseye.

"Sir..."

"What is it J?"

"I'd like to inform you that there is an oncoming flying object."

*Smash* "FRIENDS!"

"Oh, great. Point Break's back" Tony deadpans.

Alivia's POV

I had finished washing and drying all of the dishes, leaving me with a wet towel. I wanted t dry it, and luckily it wasn't sopping wet. So I did what any good person would do I swung the towel around to dry it off.

I smiled, feeling like a kid again. Especially when the towel ended up rotating over my hand. I couldn't help recalling how I used nunchucks in Karate class. At first it as such a challenge to rotate the nunchucks over my hand and grab it without flinging it away. Nunchuck projectiles fly amazingly well. I got a few kids back in my day.

I couldn't help myself. I had to see what I remembered.

I first spun the towel in my hand, holding one end, swinging the other like a helicopter blade, just a simple flick of the wrist. Next was the crazy eight swing, like painting an '8' on a wall. Easiest tricks in the book.

Now for some fun. I rotate the towel over the back of my hand in one swing, no need to build momentum like I did in the past. I have the confidence I lacked back then. I smile when I succeed, now to reveres it! Knowing I can rotate the towel forwards and backwards, gives me a sense of pride.

I start to spin the towel in the crazy '8' form, but this time I'm rotating the towel over my hand with each slash, using the swing of the towel for momentum. I find the rotating crazy 8 to be relaxing on my right hand while I still have trouble with my left. Knowing I should probably work on both is a reminder of how hard I worked as a kid just to get it down with my right. it took a lot of practice. Even the nunchuck form 1, I think it was called. I haven't done it since the competition.

Let's see, how did it go? I take the towel in both ends in my right hand. Feet and legs together as I bow to no one in particular. I take my stance, feet now shoulder width apart, arms straight out in front of me. Each end of the 'nunchuck' in my hands as I shout "I'ah!" A big grin on my face as I step to the side positioning my feet. Bringing my 'nunchuck' over my right shoulder, quickly slashing to my left with a huff for power. As I suck in air i shift the 'nunchuck' to my right side, flipping it over my right shoulder. Locked and loaded, ready to go.

Now what was next? A kick. A front kick. I try it out, lifting my right knee and kick straight out. No, that didn't feel right. It used to be more exciting. How about a flying front kick?

I move, changing back to my original position, 'nunchuck' loaded over my right shoulder. I, again, lift my right knee, jumping instead and kicking with my left leg. I smile, proud. That felt right. I start again, going over what I remember getting to the flying front kick...

*DING!*

I turn my head to the sound, seeing the Avengers standing in the elevator. My eyes go wide as I totally forgot where I was, an entirly different universe.

"Uh..." was all I could manage to get out. Being caught in a Very embarrassing pose.

...

Tony was very amused.

I'm not dead! Kind of took a break as my motivation kind of fell. Still have lots of plans for this story. And a Very special shout out to FlowerPower217  for helping me with the next chapter!

Also I will mention I'm having trouble with Point Break, he's kind of hard for me to get out. I might have to watch his movie again, but he's sooooo embarrassing I'm not sure how long I will last.

Also currently working on a Doctor Who fan fic (because I read some die hard good ones and totally wanted to be in—I mean be a part of one), so I will be rotating between the two/ three stories (a DW spin off for a special character, but won't be released until the apropriate time [will only be posted on Wattpad since wuixworld keeps taking chapters, it I'll keep posting this story here]) and for DW when I type the TV episodes its one episode per chapter, sooo its a Really long read, but editing is a pain.

A special shout out to Socratesij for all the comments!

And thank you Jacky7 it means a lot!

Please vote and comment!

Also note, I'm still willing to take requests or ideas! And I'll gladly mention you in the chapter for your idea.
