Seeing Him

"Levi, come on today's your big day, you can't just sleep it away," My best friend and Andrew leaps onto my bed.

"Go away," I pull the blanket over my head

"You're going to find you mate today," With a reminder of that I jump out of bed and rush to the bathroom that connects to my room.

I turn on the shower and rip my clothes off before stepping under the hot water. Just like other werewolves I've dreamed about finding my mate. Someone to cuddle with on a cold day, to hold hands with, someone to love with all my heart and to be loved. As the future leader of this pack I need a mate to help me run things.

I jump out of the shower after I wash, then wrap a large fuzzy white towel around myself. I run back into my room.

Andrew has himself stretched out on my bed. "What do you hope they look like?"

I pull on a pair of black boxers before answering. "I really don't care. Boy, girl, fat, thin, I've love them no matter what." I pull a light green t-shirt over my head. "Ready?"

"Um you might want to put on some pants," Andrew laughs.

I slip on some dark blue skinny jeans that hug my butt. "Ready?" I ask again.

"Yep," We walk out of my room to find my mom and dad in the middle of a hardcore make out section.

"Gross guys, find a room," They pull apart quickly. Dad's eyes flash from his normally blue eyes to a gold color meaning his inter wolf is about to come out. Hes probably not very happy that they were interrupted.

"Happy birthday sweetie, how does it feel to be eighteen?" My mom smiles at me.

"Amazing, I can't wait to find my mate," I can't stop thinking about this. What will they look like? Will they be a boy or a girl? What if their human then will they accept me.

"Do you guys have any plains before the party," Dads eyes turn back to their normal color.

"Um yeah, were going to go to shopping maybe see a movie," Andrew smiles at them. Hes more excited then I am, hes a little bit of a shopaholic. He would go shopping every day all day if he could. "We should be back before six,"

"Have fun," Mom says as I pull on my black vans.

"See ya," I open the front door. Andrew and I step outside.

We walk up to Andrews red Crossover. The drive to the mall is done in peaceful silence. Twenty minutes later Andrew parks the car in the mall parking lot.

The smell of peppermint and sea salt engulfs me as I step out of the car "What's that smell?"

"I don't smell anything," Andrew takes a big whiff if the air.

Without any warning I rush inside the mall, the smell becomes more intense. Where is this coming from? I track the smell to a store called Hot Topic.

"Dude, what's wrong with you," Andrew half yells at me.

The most beautiful human boy I have ever seen walks out of the store. His fuzzy blonde hair covers his eyes, which Im sure are amazing. But he looks too skinny like unhealthily skinny. Dark bruise coves any skin that can be seen.

"Mate," I growl out, "Do you know him? What's his name? Why is he so skinny? What wrong with him? Did someone hurt him?" I bombard Andrew with questions.

"His name is Connor and we go to school with him. Hes in our English class." How have I never noticed him before. "He's normally quiet and always sits by himself in the back." That's going to change.

"Let's follow him For the rest of the day," Andrew and I follow him around the mall going for store to store, He doesn't buy anything, which I think is a little weird. But the next store we go to is a small toy store. Kids run around everywhere making it hard to follow him without knocking one of them over.

My mate picks up some doll and starts looking at it. He must have a little sister. After a couple seconds, he gets in the checkout line. He pushes his hair out of his amazing blue eyes surrounded by dark circles. I have to find out what's going on with him. After he buys the doll we follow him to the parking lot where he gets into an old beat up black car with the paint chipping off.

"Did you see all the bruises on him, something's wrong." I look at Andrew to see him deep in thought.

"You're right," We walk to his car. "What are we going to do?"

"I don't know, maybe dad would." The drive back to the park house is quiet but not peaceful like before.
