14 Gotcha

Simon was silent as they drove down to Manhattan for Simon’s first session with his new therapist.

“Are you OK?” Zeke asked.

Simon shrugged. “I’m OK.” He replied. Then he sighed. “It’s just…”

Zeke reached for his hand. “Come on. It’ll be fine. If they are as fun as my former therapist, I can assure you it won’t be so bad.”

“You saw a therapist?” Simon turned to look at him curiously.

“Didn’t everyone?” Zeke shrugged, wishing he didn’t bring that up. “I know Bella did when she beat up this girl in college. She had ‘anger issues’.”

Simon chuckled. “I can see that. She’s intense.”

Zeke relaxed. “She is, but…”he shrugged. “I still think the other chic deserved it.”

“You have to get her to tell that story.” Simon said, grinning. He shook his head. “Do you think she’d show me some moves?”

Zeke turned to him. “Hey, are you bored with me already? I thought I was teaching you?”

Simon smiled tentatively. “You still…you still want to?”
