21 Chapter 21: Time Stop vs. Kamui

As a transmigrator, Dan had long known about the power of Kamui. His series of attacks on Obito were merely feigned weaknesses. Obito fell for it, daring to engage in close combat with Dan without any defenses. Now was the time—

Za Warudo!

In an instant, the power of time stop spread from Dan's body at a speed surpassing light, encompassing the entire ninja world. Everything in sight lost its color, turning gray. The river of Naka stopped flowing; Itachi, who was watching the battle, looked panicked, thinking his uncle was about to lose to the masked man; Obito's Kamui had been activated, the distorted space solidifying like still ripples.

The first second of time stop.

Dan broke free from the chains and turned around to face Uchiha Obito. At this moment, most of Obito's body was wrapped in distorted space, untouchable, except for... his hands.

The most powerful aspect of Kamui was that it could be activated unconsciously, allowing Obito to phase his body at the moment of attack, thus immunizing him from any attack. It was a passive ability. But Kamui also had a weakness—when Obito attacked, he had to deactivate Kamui, making himself tangible.

Years ago, on the night of the Nine-Tails attack, the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, saw this and used the Flying Thunder God Technique and the Rasengan to defeat Obito.

After that battle, Obito learned from his defeat and became much more cautious, often using feints to deceive his opponents, never easily leaving his intangible state. But at this moment, he was still tricked by Dan. He exposed his weakness.

The second second of time stop.

Dan's eyes gleamed, and without hesitation, he grabbed Obito's hands and yanked them towards himself!

Time resumed.

There was a tearing sound. It was the sound of flesh and bone separating. Obito's two arms were instantly detached from his shoulders, torn off by Dan.

Kamui was forcibly interrupted.

Obito staggered back several steps, finally losing his balance and falling to the ground.

"You..." He looked up at Dan in horror, his eyes full of bloodshot, completely devoid of his previous composure.

He didn't understand. How did Dan do it? How could he turn the tables in an instant and tear off his arms?!

Obito, as a person, didn't have a strong mental state. He usually relied on his invincible Kamui to play tricks on others, hiding behind his mask, pretending to be Uchiha Madara, and acting superior. But once someone could break his Kamui, he panicked, as if he had reverted back to the dead-last boy of his youth.

In extreme fear, space distorted again. Obito didn't even have time to leave a harsh word, he just activated Kamui and fled in a panic.

What a pity.

As the victor, Dan watched Obito flee and shook his head. In the situation just now, he didn't have time to attack Obito's vital points and couldn't kill him on the spot.

But Dan estimated that even if he could stop time for 5 seconds or even longer, it would be very difficult to kill Obito completely. After all, Obito also mastered another trump card— Izanagi.

In the original story, even Konan's carefully prepared trap of six billion exploding tags was avoided by Obito using the "combination jutsu" of Kamui and Izanagi.

These two eye techniques, when combined, were almost unbeatable.

So, Dan chose to tear off

Obito's arms. This time, Obito escaped with serious injuries and should lay low for a while. And he left behind a pair of arms, which became Dan's spoils of war.

These arms were unusually pale, and no blood flowed from the wounds, only white cellular tissue slowly seeped out. As far as Dan knew, Obito's body was a White Zetsu, transplanted with a large number of Hashirama's cells.

In other words, these severed arms had high research value. This battle could be considered quite fruitful.

Itachi stood still, stunned. He had watched in shock as Dan tore off Obito's arms. It wasn't until Dan walked over with the two arms that he came back to his senses and instinctively called out, "Uncle, Uncle."

"Itachi, did you see the masked man's ability?" Dan asked, testing his nephew.

After a few seconds of silence, Itachi gave his own guess: "He called his Sharingan a Mangekyou Sharingan. The eye should have some kind of space-time jutsu that can transfer himself to another space, leaving only an intangible illusion in place to confuse the opponent. But when the masked man attacks, he still exposes his weakness."

"Correct, it's indeed a terrifying ability," Dan nodded, approving of his nephew's keen observation.

As long as the masked man didn't attack, he would always be invincible. Even knowing his weakness, one wouldn't know when he would actually strike, making it almost impossible to guard against.

However, such a seemingly unbeatable opponent was still defeated by his uncle. Itachi couldn't figure it out. The battle was clearly in the masked man's favor, but there was some strange reversal in an instant, and it was the masked man who had his arms torn off by Dan.

If he had to describe it, it was like: a movie was about to reach its climax, but suddenly the most exciting part was cut out, and it went straight to the end. It was maddening for the audience.

Itachi realized that his uncle was hiding a huge secret. That secret was Dan's real ability.

Just as he was trying to guess, "Don't tell anyone about tonight's events, understand?" Dan's voice rang in Itachi's ear.

"Yes, I understand, Uncle," Itachi agreed.

So, the two of them walked back the way they came. Not long after they left, a figure emerged from the depths of the forest, his face full of shock and doubt. It was Uchiha Hachida.

He had received a message from the masked man, asking him to come to the Naka Shrine tonight to watch a good show. The masked man was going to personally subdue Uchiha Dan.

Unexpectedly, he did watch a good show, but the one who was subdued was the masked man.

However, Hachida at least confirmed one thing: the man who had been claiming to be Uchiha Madara was a complete impostor. The real Uchiha Madara would never lose to Dan.

Of course, Dan's ability to defeat the masked man also demonstrated his strength. In Hachida's view, Dan might even be able to compete with the clan's top fighter—Uchiha Shisui.

When he realized this, Hachida couldn't help but think of the "Shattered Jade Plan" proposed by Dan, which was even more radical than the radical faction. Should he... try to support that guy?

Hachida had always thought that Dan's ideas were too crazy. But if Dan really had this strength and could unite all the Uchihas to work together for a coup, maybe they could really uproot the Konoha higher-ups. Establish a Konoha that belonged to the Uchihas.

He would wait and see. Dan should attend the clan meeting next month, where the radical and moderate factions of the clan would confront each other directly. It would definitely be lively.

If by then, Dan could overpower the moderate clan leader Fugaku and the instantaneous Shisui, then the radicals would follow him from then on.

With this thought, a glimmer of anticipation flashed in Hachida's eyes.

Under the moonlight, the uncle and nephew walked along the bank of the Naka River. Dan noticed that Itachi had been deep in thought all the way, probably guessing about his uncle's ability.

So far, he had shown his time stop power twice in front of Itachi. Could this clever nephew guess it?
