1 PROLOGUE

"Are you ready brother?" Tony asked calmly with the spot of fear. Liam did not respond for a while as he stared at the portal assuming that they will succeed this time.

"Yes, brother. Turn it on" Liam responded surely.

Tony turned in the circular portal by clicking the button in front of him. A light emerges from the center of the portal. As the seconds came by, the light started to widen in a circular motion revealing a magnificent purple and blue bright color as if it was from space.

Liam still stands firmly while watching the portal hoping that it will not burst into flames again. The light stops circular motion and holds itself through the inner part of the round metal. Then it instantly reveals an image of a man around his 50s rooming around a closed room full of scattered materials.

The brothers rumbled in laughter and smiles while hugging each other and their hard work finally blooms. The Man from the other side hears them and glances blankly at the brothers.

"So it worked" the man said while standing in amusement. The two sets apart from each other and formally introduced themselves.

"You must be our grandfather" Liam said happily "I mean our great great, whatever how many great grandfather" 

"Yes, and you?" The old man responded.

"Uhm I'm Liam" Liam said and gestured to his brother "and this is my older brother, Tony" he waved a hand.

"Right, the eldest shall start with 'T'" the man said

"Oh God! You predicted it!" Tony said with excitement

"And you made it!" The man happily said.

"Tiyo Jose right? Its pleasure to meet you, sir" Liam said while approaching him for a hug which Tiyo Jose gives back.

"Now, what do you plan to do with the portal? Is this the first trial?" Tiyo Jose asked.

"Yes, we haven't tested anything yet�� Liam said.

"What if we changed the past?" Tony asked, feeling so excited.

"That will work but if we change the past, that logically means a different outcome or the future will change too. Just like the butterfly effect." Liam said.

"Definitely yes, Liam. However, we cannot stick  with our rational minds as this needs experience. At the same time, we cannot risk too much because this will jeopardize our lives, especially the two of you." Tiyo Jose said.

"Brother, what date did you set for the portal?" Liam asked.

"December 27, 1896" tony said.

"Nice, Christmas week." Liam said feeling hopeless but he came up with an idea. "Wait! 1896? Rizal will be executed after 3 days right?" He continued delightfully.

"Brother, I only plan on surprising grandpa for Christmas" Tony said already knowing Liam's conclusion.

"But Tony, imagine it, we can save Rizal from execution," Liam said.

"This is crazy, Liam, " Tony said.

"Are we crazy enough to build a time machine? Aren't we?" Liam said.

"Well without Tiyo Jose's idea, we will not build it anyway" Tony said sarcastically. "And why would we save Rizal? Just for the sake of testing the portal?" He added.

"Not just for that. But also for the sake of the youths. Didn't you realize that the Filipino youths are losing their Filipino pride?" Liam said "Please, brother help me keep up with this. This is a good start for us in the future."

"Yes, I will help if only we can change the time much earlier so that we can prepare more but we can't because we have a bigger wormhole which means…" Tony was interrupted.

"Means that It's more likely to be unstable" Tiyo Jose said.

"What can we do to adjust it?" Loam asked

"We will be needing more negative energy to repel the gravitational force to keep it open which sadly is our limitation since what we use for this is the maximum amount that we can have" Tony said sadly

"Let's just spend the Christmas vacation with grandpa, Liam" Tony continued approaching Liam with persuasion.

"Yes, brother we will do that and we will change history" Liam replies with excitement. Tony looked at Tiyo Jose asking for help.

"I'm going to a Christmas celebration, would you like to come? And at the same time, I'll buy two of you some clothes" Tiyo jose asked.

"You should come brother. You'll like it" Tony said.

"Okay, how about you?" Liam asked.

"I'll stay here for a while. Just don't forget to wear your glasses. I might call you" 

"I will," Liam said as they exited the door.
