4 Mother

Yuki walked towards her quarters as she thought about herself. Why does she have black hair and brown eyes when her family had curly golden hair. She looked so dull compared to them, thier ocean blue eyes looked very much like jewels.

In the bloodline of the Anderson family, no child was ever born with black hair and brown eyes. Each and every children of the Anderson family had golden hair and blue eyes no matter who thier birth mother are. Therefore they concluded that Liam and I are both the cursed children of this generation.

On her mother's side, her family had fiery red hair and golden eyes representing the Dragnal family . The second most powerful family in the kingdom. Thier family on the other hand are quite special, every few generation a baby will be born with an unusually large amount of mana. Usually thier Mana would be sealed away when they are born and only until they are ten would the signs of the abnormally large amount of Mana show by a small dragon mark that glows golden on the child's  body when mana is used. All generation of gifted child had fiery red hair and golden or brown eyes.

Yuki knows that she would be the one to have that power, the only problem is...books about magic are hard to come by, they are known to be very expensive and only produced in a very small amount. Although everyone has mana, 70% of the population cannot control them and use them. Most oftenly only members of the noble blood can use them. The only reason why Yuki couldn't use magic in her life was because it was taken by her very own mother. Mother, she was a fine student in Stashviel magic academy, the only magic school in the country. She was especially gifted in alchemy. When she noticed Yuki had the mark during one of the the beatings, she wanted that power to control and conquer.

She made her drink a potion and sliced a part of her flesh off, the part with the mark. Yuki almost fainted due to the pain, it burns, it hurts so much. Tears welling up in her eyes as she just left her on the floor, the deep wound bleed profusely and tears were rolling down her cheeks, she gasped for air and her vision started to blur, her consciousness slowly slipped away.

The next thing she new, she woke up in an underground room, there were no windows only a solid metal door with bars on it that made it look much like a prison . Her wound bandaged was loose and every single times she moved she felt the sharp pain. She was bedridden there for a week before she was let out by her mother.

Yuki was lucky that her mother was not successful in transferring the ability, she lost her mind after that. Her mother prepared for years for the transfer but to no avail. She failed and there is no way she could get the power she wanted. She gone insane due to the stress and started attacking people randomly, she was then banished from the family. News came later in the month that she passed away after slashing her own throat exidently while attempting to murder a young man.

Yuki snapped herself out of those depressing thoughts by pinching her arm that now had a red mark on it. She took a deep breath before continuing on her way to her quarters.
