Saving Life and Love

It has been a week since Akkarin died in the fight with the Ichani. Sonea still couldn't accept it. After the fight, she fell unconscious and only woke up a full day later. In this whole time she only ate, slept and lived along, she was practically lifeless. She also found out that she was pregnant, which made it worse.

Rothen knocked on the door. "Can we talk?"

She didn't answer. After a bit, he came in.

Sonea stared at him without any emotion. She was like a living doll.

He came before but was still shocked.

"Sonea, you can't go on like this, for yourself, for Akkarin and for his child."

She finally heard him. He looked at her. "Since he was your lover, we thought it would be ok if you get his possessions. These include his own books excluding the ones about black magic."

Still no answers from Sonea. Rothen then put two big books on her table and finally left.

When he was gone Sonea took the upper book and flipped through it.

"What language is this?" She whispered. "Definitely not one I know of!"

Sonea was confused but at the same time full of pride. Akkarin knew so much, why had he died so early. He could have taught her so much more.

Her eyes were watery again. "I should study it for any similarities." Because of that she finally left her room for real.

She went to the library. Ironically she met not one person the whole way.

When she arrived there, she went straight to the language section. There were so many books, but Sonea just started at the beginning of the shelve and made her way through. After about 5 hours she finally found a book that showed similarities with the unknown language. She now could translate some of the words and the title. [Time and Dimension]

"What the heck?" Sonea was startled. *There is no known magic that could alter time and space!*

Rothen who came back to her room that evening thought she was reading the books. But he was not expecting her to come out of her enclosure. When he searched the area, he found her at the library.

"What are you doing?" He asked her.

"Translating a book." A short but specific answer, like always.

Rothen looked at the language and couldn't find out what it was. *Maybe because of that, the guild gave the two books to her.*

"Anything else? I am quite busy!"

"No, but don't forget to eat something." She normally wasn't as cold towards him.

Rothen left her alone again. He was happy that she even said something.

Two weeks flew by.

Sonea finally finished translating the entire first book. The second was a language, she knew Dannyl would probably have learned already.

When she persuaded Dannyl to translate it for her, she finally could read these books fully and not just seeing sentence one and sentence ten and then sentence 30. Translating these could in no way be compared to reading them.

--- Dannyl wanted to know more about it, but since Sonea was stronger and watched him the whole time, he held himself back. ---

She began reading.

[Humans are able to walk on space. That is not a false statement. I, a mage found out, that controlling and bending space and time is actually possible. ...]

If one could see Soneas face right now, that person would run away.

She looked fierce but at the same time confident and determined.

After reading the whole chapter one of the book, Sonea was convinced. She would turn back the time. So she could save everyone that she hadn't.
