Saved by Her Guardian Angel

She threw her long cane to the ground and her pace went faster. Her eyes were red and puffy but she could see no one. She tried to feel her surroundings to make sure that she wasn't followed by anyone. Barefooted and only wearing her long white sleeping gown, she reached the forest as she knew that there was a steep cliff within. She has been abandoned by her own family. Though she didn't want to be a burden, her condition made her one.

"I'm useless.. I'm useless.." She muttered those words between her silent sobs. She is prepared to die. No one would look for her. No one would remember her.

A faint smile formed on her thin pale lips when her feet felt that she was already at the edge. Her heart is pounding loudly. She is scared but she thinks that it will be better for her to end her suffering. She opened her arms wide and inhaled the clean but cold breeze that keeps on passing by. She closed her eyes, starting to relax when she heard the trees swaying along the wind.

'That must be it..' She thought and she pushed herself down to the cliff but she gasped when someone caught her and pulled her away from the death.

"You should not waste your life." It was a cold yet soft voice. It must be crazy that she found warmth from this person's words. She started crying again but this time, she released her voice and screamed.

'He must be my guardian angel..' The only thing she can think while embracing him, closing her eyes to completely sink to the darkness of life.
