1 SAVE THEM ALL

*Huff* *Huff*

I look for air as I find myself stuck in position, trying to get my bearings. The world around me seems to be playing as if it was a 1950's black and white movie.

A scruffy haired somewhat yet handsome teenager, with a tan complexion is grabbing my shoulders shaking it violently.

His saying something, no shouting it rather.

Looking at him lost, my eyes adjust to the light. Slowly the colours all come together as his raspy voice becomes audible. +

"Stiles! Stiles!"

'Stiles? How long has it been since I've heard that nickname. Everyone who remembers it, is long gone'

The woods around us reminds me of the night that changed our lives. Wait, looking closely at the boy in front of me. I realise that there's something oddly familiar about him.

"Scott?"

"Stiles! Hurry that thing is coming!" He screams as he drags me into a groove in the ground behind the tree, to hide from the unknown creature chasing us.

He's hyperventilating is the only sound in the night's wind. Panicking he reaches for his inhaler which is no-where to be found.

"Scott?" I reaffirm once again

"Stiles, keep quiet" He says, hushing me silent as the fear of the unknown overwhelms him

He assumes, that it's the shock and terror which has left me incapable from saying more than three syllables. Yet what I find scarier, is the fact that his in front of me…. Breathing.

'Scott, you are not supposed to be here. You're not suppose to be ….alive'

*Flash-back*

Slowly my memories begin to realign, and I realise what's happening right now. Who would have thought that 60 years of searching through every tomb in Peru and machu pichu. Searching for the so-called lost amulet of time. It ended up being nothing more than a magician's trinket.

Giving up all hope I decided that enough was enough and stormed my way into the Amsterdam stronghold. I laid everything on the line. To get revenge against those who took everything. The Hunters of legend, The Hellsing family. The came with no warning and left before I could even blink.

They were prepared, while we weren't . It was an unfair fight, no, an unfair slaughtering. They killed them. They killed all of them. My friends, my family... my soulmate.

Once my final hope was finally extinguished, I decided to just end it all but not before taking all of them with me. They were not going to live in heaven, I vowed to take them to hell or to a place worse than that. But fate she's a cruel mistress, all those years searching for strength, made me unable to realise, that I was in fact powerful. Stronger than any being on earth to be exact. Hilariously unmanned, everything was so easy. I suffocated hundreds, drowned thousands and burned even more before I finally killed Abraham as If squashing a fly. My years of hurt. My years of pain. My years of torment. It took mere minutes to end it all.

Laughing in the pouring rain while covered in blood of my fallen enemies. I couldn't help but feel empty. And that is the trinket finally made a sound, reaching into my pocket, the eye which was closed on the handle, was now staring straight at me. A voice then peered into my brain which reminded me of the time I was possessed. Only it was different, it wasn't chaotic nor crazy, it was calm… eerily calm yet with a sense of darkness.

"Only death does not lie. Only death does not lie. Only death does not lie." It repeated like a mantra.

At that moment something just seemed to finally come together. Grabbing the amulet. I repeat the chant, "Only … Death… Does". Lifting the amulet, I look at the eye which is glowing, enchanted by the pulsing feeling it's realising which seems to vibrate with my veins. I grab it, with such might that it begins to lacerate my skin. I swiftly stab it towards my chest, piercing my chest and impaling my heart. "Not…. " Coldness soon, over takes my being and I crumple to the floor uttering the final word, "Lie!"

At that exact moment, as if sky were angered by my words, thunder and lightning roars, striking repeatedly on my body, charring my skin. Thankfully, I can no longer feel pain as the repeated barrage begins ripping every fibre of my being. The process continues for minutes that feels like hours. Until no traces of my existence is left. If anyone were to make their way over, the only proof of a person, is the man shaped outline left besides the scorched earth that was beneath me.

*Flashback ends*

'It worked!' I scream internally. I'm back!

I can feel again, my body is … so weak. Yet young, full of life. No signs of war and no battle scars. It's like I'm me yet not at the same time.

*A-whooo*

The sound of a wolfs howl reminds me where we are and why we are here.

Clenching my first, I swear that I will not waste this second chance.

This time….

I will save them all!
