1 Part 1: A Start

I wake up in a room full of research papers and art projects. It's a mess.

A beautiful mess.

I groan and yawn as I stretch and sat up from the bed. I fixed the sheets and started to rearrange the papers that have been scattered the night before. I felt a little relieved that I got to pass one research paper before the deadline but today I'm still continuing to finish the remaining works.

My phone began to ring.

Briana? Why's she calling so early in the morning?

I took a deep breath and cleared my throat before answering the phone.

"GOOD MORNING, SUNSHINE!" Briana yelled through the phone.

"Geez...you have too much energy. Good morning, Briana. Are you on your way to St. Lorenzo Ruiz Hospital?" I asked as I walk to the kitchen, getting a bowl and spoon from the cabinet.

"Yep! I'm with Angelo."

Angelo? Are they even back together? "Angelo? I thought you two broke up."

She whispered. "Not yet. Actually...I'm gonna talk to you about that later. He just woke up and he's right next to me."

I shook my head as I poured the milk in my bowl. "Ok. Tell him I said hi. I'm gonna finish these last few projects and I'm ready for summer vacation." I smiled, pouring my cereal.

She hummed. "Sorry for leaving you. I'll make it up to you. I promise."

"No...it's fine. I'm gonna go now. Bye"

"Bye. Take care, Caroline!"

I hung up the phone and started eating my cereal. When will I ever get a boyfriend?

I just brushed out the thought and went back to my daily routine. I cleaned the house and took a shower.

I went back to work the whole day.

It was draining.

It was tiring...but I'm still doing it.

I look at the clock and it was already 7 pm.

I put down my pen, took my wallet, and went to the restaurant near the beach which is owned by one of my classmate's mother and her sisters. I walked the whole way since I needed exercise. Besides, the restaurant was only a 10-minute walk away.

I look up at the sky as I walked. It was full of stars. The full moon had a full rainbow around it. I silently pass by the people who I don't know. Our town has been filled with people from other towns since the opening of a new mall near the beach. I looked at the mall and it was lit up with lots of lights. "The electric bill must be terrifying." I silently said under my face mask.

I hear a chuckle next to me. "That's what I was thinking." A dark and velvety voice said.

His voice was perfect.

I turned and saw a tall boy with rich brown hair. His build was strong and his golden brown eyes were shining because of the lights from the mall. His scent...was alluring.

I felt a small tug in my heart and I immediately knew...I'm gonna be an introverted mess.

"U-Uh Y-yeah. It-it m-must be a pain." I laughed nervously as I looked away.

I just hear a laugh and he walked pass me. "See ya." he said as he waved his hand a little.

"S-see ya" I waved back...even though he already had his back turned.

I slapped my cheek a bit. Now! Back to reality.
