[POV - 3rd Person]

"Dude, you did it! You got the Snitch and we beat those disgusting snakes!" Weasley exclaimed excitedly as Potter reached his side outside the Quidditch pitch.

"I know! I can already imagine Malfoy's face when he sees us" Potter said happily and expectantly.

"Congratulations Harry!" Hagrid, who had just arrived at the boys' side, congratulated Potter, patting the little Gryffindor on the back that nearly knocked the skinny boy over, "Step by the hut after celebrating with your classmates" the half-giant said.

He then parted ways with the two happy boys, who were going to celebrate in the Gryffindor common room.

-Minerva McGonagall's Office-

[POV – Minerva]

"You have to do something! That know-it-all brat set me on fire!" Severus yelled angrily, causing Miss Granger sitting opposite me shivered slightly. And I resisted the urge to massage my temples.

"Calm down, Professor Snape. Let's start from the beginning," I said, trying to understand how we got into this situation.

I just remember being happy for Gryffindor's victory in this morning's match, when Professor Snape arrived irritated as he dragged along a panicked Miss Granger. And now here I am, hearing that one of my best students set a teacher on fire.

It's okay that this teacher is Severus... And even I feel like setting him on fire at times... But that doesn't mean she should literally do it! For Merlin's sake!

"What else do you need to know?! She set me on fire! That's simple to understand! She – set – fire – on me!" Professor Snape said slowly, gritting his teeth.

"And because, by the way, Miss Granger set... Fire in you?" I asked, looking into Severus' eyes. And out of the corner of my eye I could see Ms. Granger shiver and pale in her chair.

'Did she really set him on fire?!' I realized, shocked.

Severus then took a deep breath to calm himself, and when he regained control of his emotions, he started to tell what happened.

"I was in the Slytherin stands, and suddenly my cloak started to catch on fire. After I put the fire out, I heard someone..." he said looking at Miss Granger, "Falling down, and then I saw Miss Granger here, slumped behind my row in the bleachers. And as soon as I looked at her, she freaked out and tried to run away. And I don't think I need to say why she's the main suspect where she's obviously the culprit" he finished frowning.

And now I didn't even try to stop myself from massaging my temples.

'Why did it have to be a Gryffindor?' I sighed inwardly, frustrated with the situation.

"Miss Granger, do you have something to say?" I asked.

"...It was the Bluebell Flames Charm... It was harmless to Professor Snape." Granger muttered under her breath, looking down.

"This still does not justify or take away the weight of their actions. You set a teacher on fire. That was a dangerous and foolish thing to do, and this can earn you an expulsion," I chided her. And as soon as I talked about the expulsion, Miss Granger snapped her head up, and looked at me in panic.

"Expulsion?!" she repeated, turning pale so fast I thought she was a ghost animagus.

"You set me on fire... A teacher, you silly girl. Do you think that's no reason for expulsion?" Severus said dryly, glaring at Miss Granger, getting pleased to see her getting even paler.

"Yes, Miss Granger. Your act is more than enough for an expulsion... But..." I lingered the but, causing Miss Granger looked at me hopefully, "I won't expelled you"

""Won't you!?"" the two exclaimed, surprised. With one of them very happy and relieved and the other very angry.

"No I won't," I replied calmly. And before anyone could speak, I continued, "You're a brilliant and very diligent witch, and it would be a shame for the school to lose someone like you, so I won't expelled you, even though you've done something very wrong, irresponsible, and foolish, because I know you can still redeem yourself"

Miss Granger then sighed in relief.

"But you still have to take a punishment" I continued, which made Miss Granger looked at me nervously, "Since Professor Snape has already deducted 40 points from you, I will only supplement your punishment... You will write six feet of parchment with the phrase 'I must not try to burn my teachers', and you will still have it two months of detention with Filch"

"But—"

"No but Miss Granger" I interrupted, looking at her grimly, "This will be your punishment, there's an end of it!"

"Sigh. Okay..." Miss Granger said, with her head down.

"Minerva! That can't—" Severus started to say, obviously unsatisfied with the punishment.

"That's my choice Severus. And I won't change it" I said, giving him a look that said not to argue with me, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have some essays to correct" I said, dismissing them.

And with that Severus huffed annoyed and left my office, not saying a single word. And a Miss Granger crestfallen followed him shortly after, leaving a little 'Bye Professor' before closing the door.

As soon as they left, I dropped into my chair heavily, tired of all this mess.

"Sigh...I think I'm going to ask Poppy for a headache potion"

-Hagrid's Hut-

[POV - 3rd Person]

After a huge celebration in the Gryffindor common room, Potter and Weasley grabbed their coats and headed to Hagrid's hut as promised.

"Here. Have a drink to warm up," Hagrid said, placing two cups of tea on the table for the two Gryffindor boys.

"Thanks Hagrid" Potter thanked, "Um, where's Hermione?" he asked after seeing that the thick-haired witch wasn't with them and didn't even show up at the common room celebration.

"The last time I saw her, she said she would fix the problem with…" Weasley started to respond, only to stop when he remembered something, "Harry! We know who was jinxing your broom!" he said urgently.

"Really? Who?" Potter asked.

"It was Snape" Weasley said, "Hermione and I saw him staring at his broom and muttering something, and that's what you do when you want to jinx something."

"Snape? Bullshit!" Hagrid, who had been listening in, denied vehemently, "Why would Professor Snape do something like that?"

Potter and Weasley looked at each other, and with a nod they decided to share their assumptions with Hagrid.

"Well…we found out he—" Before Potter could continue to speak, someone knocked on the door.

*Knock! Knock*

"Hagrid! Boys! Are you there?" Granger called. And Hagrid went and opened the door, letting her in.

"Hermione, where have you been?" Weasley asked as Granger sat heavily in her chair.

"I got caught by Professor Snape when I stopped him from jinxing Harry's broom, and he took me to Professor McGonagall's office... And now I've lost 40 points and I'm going to get two months of detention with Flich" Granger replied, part annoyed and part disappointment.

"What!? Really?!" Weasley exclaimed in shock, with Potter and Hagrid looking at Granger in surprise.

"Yes. But I don't want to talk about it," she said annoyed, "What were you guys talking about before I arrived?" she asked wanting to change the subject.

Potter and Weasley then exchanged a look, and Potter started to say.

"Well, we were going to tell Hagrid what we found out about Snape, and..."

End.
