"So now that you know I'm the mysterious killer what are you going to do?" I asked Fleur.

"Nothing," she shrugged, and I looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"I already knew you were the man who saved me the moment my eyes fell on you the day I arrived at Hogwarts," she began to say, "And from the beginning I never planned to tell anyone your secret, and I only insisted so much on talking to you because I wanted to hear you say that it was you who saved me, and also because I wanted to get to know you better."

"I understand" I nodded, before looking at her curiously, "But then, do you think you got to know me better?" I asked.

"Yes, and I think now I understand what kind of person you are" she replied, looked at me with a happy look.

"Oh really? And what kind of person am I?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"You are someone who is proud, intelligent, cunning, an obviously powerful wizard, who doesn't care about other people's opinions, but who doesn't like it when someone talks badly or messes with one of your friends or your family," Fleur began to quote , with a finger on his chin as he thought, "And besides, you're also very playful, sarcastic, and completely unpredictable."

And finishing speaking, Fleur turned to me with a proud look, and I could only look at her in surprise.

'I don't think anyone has ever described me so accurately before' I thought in awe.

And then I saw that Fleur was looking at me expectantly, and I realized that she was waiting for me to say something.

"Well, your view of me is pretty much correct" I said, which made her nod in satisfaction, "But you missed mentioning my good looks and my perfect body." I ran my hand through my hair with an arrogant look.

"Yes of course, how could I forget that" Fleur rolled her eyes playfully, "Any other qualities of yours that I forgot to mention, Mr. Night?"

"Well..." I started to say, "I could mention some other qualities of mine, but I think the ones you mentioned are enough, and I thank you for that" I looked at her with a mischievous smile.

"You're welcome," Fleur snorted in amusement.

We then continued sitting on the marble bench talking, with me asking her other questions, mainly about what happened to her and her sister after the Quidditch World Cup Final.

And from what she told me, as soon as I disappeared, her father and mother arrived along with some other French wizards and some aurors from the ministry, and that they were terrified by the grotesque and bloody scene of the destroyed Death Eater bodies.

However, in addition to being terrified, her parents were also very relieved, as their daughters were fine.

And she also told me that unlike the others, they did not consider me a murderer, but rather the savior of their daughters, and that they wanted to find out my identity to thank me personally.

And when I heard that I was happy, but I told her that I preferred to keep my identity as the mysterious killer between the two of us, at least for now.

And after some more time talking I noticed that lunch time was ending, and so I got up from the marble bench.

"I think we should end our conversation here" I said, wondering if I should stop by the kitchens to get something to eat.

But before I could leave, Fleur got up hurriedly.

"Wait" she said, holding my shirt, and I turned to her.

"What?" I asked, and then Fleur started fidgeting with a nervous look.

"When I found out you were the mysterious killer you asked me what I was going to do, didn't you?" she asked, and I nodded confused, "Well, I said I wouldn't do anything, but there's actually something I want to do."

And when she finished speaking I looked at her with my head tilted in curiosity, and I could feel her nervousness disappear being replaced by determination.

And before I could say or ask anything the French girl threw her arms around my neck and hugged me, which caught me completely off guard.

"Thank you for saving me that day" her voice sounded almost a whisper close to my ear as she hugged me tighter.

And coming out of my dazed state I looked at her with a strange look.

"Err... No need to thank me, I just did what was right" I said, but she shook her head.

"No, you did more than that... You saved me and protected me from a terrible fate. Me, someone who to you at that time was a total stranger" she said, "And you did it because you are a good person, with a kind and gentle heart"

And I could feel the strong feeling of gratitude she had for me, and knowing how sincere she was being and feeling her feelings of affection I decided to just accept her thanks.

And with a sigh I wrapped my arms around her slim waist and hugged her back, and I could see her smile as she still kept her head on my shoulder.

"I still don't think I did anything big, but I'm happy to see you safe" I said softly, much to the delight of the Beauxbatons champion.

And then we spent a few more seconds holding each other, and I couldn't deny that hugging Fleur felt good and comforting, but I had to break the hug because I heard the bell ring, signaling that lunch was over and that afternoon classes would begin.

'Sigh... Apparently I'm going to have to wait for dinner' I thought, before looking at Fleur.

"Well, it was an interesting and very enlightening conversation, but we have to go" I said with a small smile.

"Yes," Fleur sighed sadly, and I looked at her questioningly.

"Headmistress Maxime wants to meet me for some private lessons this afternoon to help me pass the next assignments, and usually her lessons are... confusing" she explained.

"Hmm, you know that if the tournament organizers find out about this you and your school will receive punishment, right? And besides, is this something you should be telling me?" I asked with a raised eyebrow, and Fleur shrugged.

"I know this is basically cheating and goes against the tournament rules, but my Headmistress insisted, and I doubt she'll let me get out of these private lessons," she said, and I nodded, "And about telling you this... Well, I trust you"

And hearing her say it so easily as if it were something normal made me smile.

"Well, in that case then I think we better get going. You don't want Madame Maxime to come looking for you, right?" I joked, and Fleur made a face.

"Yes, that wouldn't be very good" she said, before turning to me, "And you, what are you going to do now?"

"Oh, now I have double Potions classes, and I could skip them with the excuse of being a champion, but my Potions teacher won't like that" and this time I was the one making a face.

"Is he that man who dresses in black, has a big nose, and has a face that seems to always be mocking others?" Fleur asked.

"Yeah" I nodded, finding the way she described him funny.

"Oh... Now I think classes with Headmistress Maxime aren't so bad" she commented, looking at me sympathetically.

"I'm not switching classes with you" I said jokingly, to which she laughed.

I then heard the bell ring again, and not wanting to be late and wanting to get to the dungeons quickly I said goodbye to Fleur again.

"Well, I hope I can talk to you again some other time Fleur, see you later" I said, waving my hand at her.

And after saying that I turned and left, leaving the beautiful blonde girl alone in the stone courtyard.

'Yes, see you later... My beloved hero' she thought with one hand closed over her chest as she waved the other at me, smiling softly.

End.
