62 Chapter 62

Haruto's phone rang. He let go of me and he fished it out of his pocket, checking the caller ID when out of nowhere, someone in a bright red jacket suddenly ran into us. Ryu pulled me away before the man could hit me but he hit Toshiro and also Haruto then took off running.

Toshiro was livid. "Fuck! That fucker is dead!" he shouted then ran after him. He has always been short-tempered.

"My phone!" Haruto suddenly exclaimed. "Damn it! He took my phone!"

I have seen the sign! I have been forgiven and I would be a fool not to take advantage of this opportunity.

"Quick! Go after him!" I urged and Haruto also took off. I was a bit scared though because there were lots of vital confidential information in Haruto's phone. He had to get it back.

"Aren't you gonna help your friends?" the roleplay girl asked and I shrugged. "They will handle it. All I'll do is slow them down if I follow"

She nodded then sighed. "Well, I have to go now. I have a business to run". She then threw her arms over my shoulders and planted a kiss on my lips. "I hope we meet again Aito". She giggled then left.

I turned to find Chan already walking away. Oh no.

I followed him all the way to the theater while explaining that the kiss wasn't my fault and I didn't even kiss her back and the fact that she caught me by surprise as I wasn't even expecting it. I even had to speak in hushed tones when we passed by people who were within hearing range. It was quite frustrating for I talked and talked but he didn't even spare me a glance.

On one part, I was glad that he was jealous but if him being jealous meant no attention for me then I didn't want it.

"Ryu come on, please listen to me. It wasn't my fault I swear. I had no idea she was going to do that. Hey I just told you about my feelings a while ago so you should know who I have in my heart. Ryu please, I don't even like that girl. All that happened before I met you. I'm not that person anymore. You said so yourself. It's all in the past"

It wasn't until we were sitting in the theater, far back in a dark corner, that Ryu finally looked at me. I wanted to speak but the anger in his eyes forced back the words down my throat. I was really in deep trouble. The lights went off and the theater was plunged in darkness, indicating that the movie was about to start.

Ryu suddenly grabbed my hoodie and covered my hair then the next thing I felt were his lips. His soft warm lips on top of mine but the kiss wasn't like his usual kisses. It wasn't gentle, nor was it passionate. Instead, it was hard and possessive. He left me no space as he bruised my lips, sucking and nipping at them, as if to stake his claim. He ran his tongue over my lower lip and bit down, enough to hurt but not enough to break the skin. I whimpered in pain as I tried to pull away but he gave me no chance. He dug his tongue into my mouth and kissed me hard. He swiped every surface with his tongue and I had no choice but to surrender. To let him take what he wanted.

In those few minutes before the movie started, Ryu thoroughly possessed me. He took what he wanted, leaving me a shaking, panting mess. I could hear my own heart pounding in my ears. I felt lightheaded, like I was floating in the clouds. My sight was a little unfocused and I had to hold onto his arms to steady myself as I sucked air into my lungs.

"W-What...was t-that for?" I asked, panting.

He was in a better state than I was for he spoke clearly though his voice was raspy; "She kissed you"

"Huh?"

"She kissed you" he repeated.

I gazed up at him to find his eyes darker than they've ever been. My poor heart skipped a beat. They were so dark and shiny, so beautiful. Like the night with tiny sparkling stars. I could get lost in them.

He continued; "Aito, I can tolerate a lot of things but not that. I've told you before. I tend to get jealous easily and I don't like sharing. In fact, I can share anything but you. Watching her kiss you was like stabbing me in the gut. I couldn't take it"

I fought back a smile then leaned into his embrace. It was a bit awkward because of the armrest between us but we made it work. "I'm sorry" I whispered. "I really didn't think she would do that but I'll be more careful from now on. I promise"

He sighed. "At least, I've erased her from your lips. Now your lips aren't tainted by her slutty ones"

I chuckled softly.

"Yes. They're tainted by you. They will always be tainted by you, Ryu"

It's been a few days since my date with Ryu and that fight with Haruto and he's been avoiding me. He never picked my calls or replied to my texts. If we accidentally meet in any hallway at school, or even places outside, he immediately turns back or finds another route. He stopped joining us for lunch and instead, ate with his basketball buddies. Sometimes, Toshiro would join them and sometimes he'll join us. He called it keeping the balance on both sides. He said he alone was equivalent to Yua and Sakura so I could keep the girls and he would be the support for Haruto. I didn't care about that but I cared about Haruto. He laughed less and ate less. Most of the time, I would see him just playing around with his food and barely listening to Toshiro's chatter. Not that his gossip mattered anyway but Haruto looked lonely and lost. He needed me and even though I wasn't lonely like him since I had Ryu, I still needed him. He's my best friend but I can't stop talking to Ryu just because he said so.

Sakura, Yua and I were sitting on the bleachers, watching basketball practice. Haruto was missing there as well. I wonder what excuse he gave the coach. Our fight must have affected him a lot. If only he would talk to me, everything would have been resolved. I miss him like crazy and I didn't even know what to do.

"This sucks" Rose said, taking a sip of her blueberry yoghurt.

"I know right. I miss Haruto" I said with a sigh.

She snorted. "Who's talking about that loser? I'm talking about the yoghurt. It really sucks. Yuck"

I shook my head.

"By the way, the only person he's not talking to is you. He texts me all the time" Yua said, scooting closer to me. "See" She showed me her screen and I saw a couple of texts with the sender 'Haruto'. I could count five texts with the current date.

Damn. So it's only me.

"He misses you too though" she continued. "Said so himself. I have no idea why you two are still fighting"

I sighed. "It's a stupid reason Yua and he's too stubborn to talk to me"

(Hi guys, I have something to say. Recently, there has been a lot of kidnappings in my country and the Government is working hard to catch the kidnappers. They have decided to shut down all telecommunication in the areas where they suspect the kidnappers are, starting Monday. Unfortunately, the area I live in is also affected so there'll be no communication for quite some time. I honestly don't know when this is gonna be over but I pray and hope that it will be soon.
