Calm before the storm

The song came to an end and the team was quiet. I'm still waiting for any response. Then..
'You're stupid when it comes to love, but you're a musical genius. Damn, that song hurts so good.' Donghyuk said while raising up his right hand for a hi-five.
'Uhm, thank you? And why are we even listening to it together? We used to work through sending e-mails though.'
When you collaborate for a song, PDs (producers) don't really have to get together physically to make the track, we usually communicate through email and meet up when it's badly needed.
But this is the 4th time we got together in a span of 2 weeks. Something's not right...
'To be honest, almost all of us are running out of Ideas. We want something new, probably a new genre or concept. The next comeback should be fresh and we can't really think of anything new.' Yunho said with a sigh.
'Why don't we convince them to build sub units? Vocal line and rap line? Then lets try to find genres that would sound good based on the sub units that were formed?' I suggested.
Oh, I forgot to tell everyone. Didn't I? I ended up not following my brother's footsteps. Instead of helping my family run our business, I pursued my passion - Music. My Dad and Older Brother, accepted and respected my decision. However, my Mom took it hard.
It has been 5 years and we never talked to each other since I told them that I want to be a songwriter.
All my cards were blocked, I was kicked out of our home. My dad can't support me that much since my Mom's threatening to divorce him if he gets caught giving me money. My brother was threatened to be disowned if he send me even a Won.
So, I worked at different jobs while I was studying. 3 years after, I eventually graduated and now I'm officially one of the producers of XYZ Entertainment after winning producer of the year awards in different yearly award shows.
All through these hardships, the person who was by my side was Jason. He kept me company when I'm trying to make my first demo. He drove me to my job interviews and celebrated my wins through all these years.
So even if he pisses me off to death, I can't cut him off of my life. He's my cornerstone. The only constant person in my life, for now.

I was on my way back to my own studio when my phone rang.
It was my Mom. After 5 years, she called me.
'Hello? Mom?' I said trying so hard to hold back my tears.
'Kree, have dinner with us. Your Dad and I wants to talk to you.'
'Okay, Mom. I'll be there before 6pm. I -'
The call got disconnected.
I sighed. [I guess she haven't forgiven me yet]

I arrived at our home after 5 years. I missed the smell of the trees inside our villa.
6 years ago, we moved out of our old apartment and moved to the mansion that Dad purchased. The mansion is near the company so it was really convenient to stay there instead.
Who would've thought that I'll just stay in this house for a year?

I went inside and saw my Dad, the CEO of JJ Entertainment, Jung Daniel. My older brother, Austin, is on his phone talking to someone. Then, I saw Mom, Jung YooRa. She's talking to... oh, Jason's Dad is here as well. That was a surprise.
'I'm here.' I announced while taking out my coat.
'Good. We need to talk to you. This is important.' Mom said without any hint of emotion in her voice.
'Kree-ah, We need to tell you something important. This is about you and Jason. ' Jason's Dad, Park Hyunsoo, said.
I heard hesitation in his voice. I knew right then, I wouldn't like what they'll be saying next.
