32 The Truth

"~sigh~ you will find it difficult to believe if I tell you the truth, so I will show you".

Before Tsunade could say anything, she saw him opening his Sharingan and was put under a genjutsu.

This genjutsu was like a downgraded version of Tsukuyomi. Tsunade found herself inside a dark empty space, the only thing she could see was a tv.

Then she heard Sasuke's voice, telling her to just watch quietly.

The Tv was turned on and started reproducing the anime of Naruto. Tsunade wanted to ask Sasuke what was going on but stayed quiet remembering his words.

The time ratio was 1:1000 so what it felt like an eternity for Tsunade, was only about 15 minutes in reality.

After finishing the whole series she was expecting to hear Sasuke clarify her doubts but then the image in the tv changed once again.

She saw a young man a bit disheveled, with above average looks and a lazy expression walking towards the street.

She felt a familiar vibe coming from him even though it was the first time she'd seen him. Then she saw how he tried to cross the street and his foot got stuck with something on the ground.

Not being able to get away in time he was hit by a truck and died unwillingly.

Then she saw the scene of him talking with a silhouette and listened to how he was given the chance to reincarnate into their current world.

Waking up from the genjutsu, Tsunade didn't know what to think. She looked at Sasuke in front of her who appeared a bit tired after maintaining the genjutsu for about 20 minutes.

She asked, "is that true?" surprising Sasuke a bit since she sounded calmer than he expected.

"What you saw first is one of the multiple possibilities, but things will go different since I'm here. Moreover, this doesn't seem to be the same universe.

We're probably in a parallel universe of what you saw since a lot of things are different, for instance, Naruto is Naruko here.

Anyway, the general story of the past is more or less the same and some events might or not happen in the future, it all depends on what we do.

Still, I'm not planning to show what I showed you to others with the exception of my wives. So I need to use a different way to convey some important parts to others during the meeting.

I already have an idea of what to do, and if it works well I could probably reap some unexpected benefits."

"How old were you at that time?"

"When I died? 23, plus the 5 years I've spent here that would make 28, so you should stop thinking of me as a young boy".

Tsunade chuckled and said, "but I'm still over 20 years older than you".

"But you don't look like, so it doesn't matter."

"Still, it feels so weird to know that everything was created by some perverted old man, it's a bit surreal".

"I know, so that's why I decided to stop thinking about it. We are real and that's all that matters".

"Do you need my help to convince everyone during the meeting?"

"Don't worry about it but let's make a stop in the next town. I want to try something". "what are you going to do?".

"I want to check Indra chakra, I don't know why they called it a reincarnation. I think its more like passing the torch since his soul didn't reincarnate, only his chakra and part of his will is passed down."

Tsunade got a bit worried hearing he would do that "won't it be dangerous?".

"I don't think so. With the strength of my soul his will has no way to influence me and my control over chakra is more than perfect. I just need a quiet place to not be disturbed and everything should go smoothly".

After arriving at a town, they rented a room and Sasuke covered it with seals. He created a few clones just in case and said to Tsunade, "watch over me and if something happens prioritize your safety, no buts".

Entering into a meditative state, he started using his soul force to check his chakra pathways. After a while, he was frowning since he couldn't detect Indra's chakra.

He decided to circulate his chakra and do another search using even more soul force. He kept increasing the soul force until he reached the limit of what he could control.

After checking every single part of his chakra network he finally found what he was looking for inside the gate of death that's ubicated by the heart.

He used his soul force to infiltrate inside the gate and little by little started pulling the chakra out.

Indra's chakra was quite dense, probably denser than when Indra was alive since it was feeding on the chakra inside the gate of death.

After pulling it out completely he started inspecting it and detected specs of various souls. 'Those should be the wills left behind by the previous possessors of Indra's chakra, maybe I can get something useful from them'.

There were a total of 8 different wills residing inside the chakra. He started by checking the older first, Indra.

He watched pieces of Indra's life as if it was a first person pov movie. He could feel the love Indra had for his father and brother.

He also watched how black Zetsu would appear from time to time to influence him in order to cause conflict, finally leading to the fallout he had with his family.

There was something really important that he realized which was different from the anime. When Indra first awakened the Sharingan, it was blue colored!

Afterward, it changed due to Zetsu influence and became red because he was feeding his eyes with negative feelings ending up cursing his bloodline with no way of turning back when he killed his two friends to awaken his mangekyo.

Then he checked the will of the second holder of this chakra. He watched how his original cheerful personality was corroded little by little by the will of Indra which acted in a very subtle way.

The holder wouldn't even realize about this chakra's existence. Moreover, there was also black Zetsu who appeared again to create conflict between him and Asura's successor.

Looking over the rest he noticed that they were somewhat similar, with the exception of two, who had a somewhat harmonious relationship with Asura's successor.

There was also Madara who had a deep friendship with Hashirama but ended being toyed with by black Zetsu.

With this, he realized just how terrific was Zetsu. How could he be so patient? Bidding his time and corrupting Indra's will until he finally managed to make use of Madara for his plans.

As Sasuke absorbed all this he could feel how the will of his predecessors tried to corrupt him, but his soul was too strong and allowed him to completely ignore it.

He only allowed one will to be passed to him. Maybe because of guilt, or just for pity. It was the weakest of the bunch but was also the only one that hadn't been corrupted by Indra.

He allowed the original Sasuke's deep feelings of attachment for his family to fuse with him and could feel as if his soul and body finally fit together.

Now he could stop feeling guilty each time he looked at Itachi or when he looked in the mirror. He would always feel bad about destroying the little Sasuke soul.

He wouldn't feel so bad if it was the older version of Sasuke who had become an asshole, but when he destroyed his soul it was only an innocent and sweet little boy. Now he could finally let it go.

He then started using his body refining technique with the aid of his soul force to make Indra's chakra completely his, drastically increasing his power.

Once he finished and opened his eyes, he felt something on his cheeks. It was a finger poking him. He looked at the owner of the finger and it was Tsunade who seemed really entertained playing with his face.

"Oh, you finally woke up. I guess you succeeded?" asked Tsunade without stopping the pokes.

"How long was it? And can you please stop poking me?"

"Um, let me see... About two weeks, and no, I don't want to stop poking you, it feels good to do it"

Sasuke's brow twitched at that but decided to try and ignore it for now. "How are you feeling?"

"Normal I guess, but I'm hungry, do you have more money?" she looked at him expectantly.

Sasuke frowned and asked her "what about the money I gave you?"

Tsunade put a isn't it obvious face and said: "I spent it all".

~sigh~ "I should have guessed...well, I still have more in my wallet, let's go to eat".

Then he saw that Tsunade wasn't following him and turned around to see her sweating with an extremely nervous face.

He felt a bad premonition and took out his wallet. Checking its contents he realized it was empty, his face turned dark and angrily said "Tsu-na-deee!!!".

"I didn't do it on purpose! It was those old ladies that tempted and tricked me into their gambling games! One old lady said that if I couldn't pay I would have to marry her ugly grandson so I had to take the money from your wallet to pay her".

"We need to reach Konoha fast then as I don't have more money for our food, at the carriage speed we should be able to arrive tonight".

Tsunade pouted "but I'm hungry now". " and who's fault is it that we have no money???!". Sasuke's shout made her cower and put a guilty expression.

"From now on you need to listen to me in everything, and no more gambling!".

Tsunade could only unwillingly nod at him.
