Elias never wanted to lose Sarah, he didn't want her to be in this predicament. Hell, it was hard picturing her in any kind of danger. But the stubborn woman was adamant to handle everything herself. and nobody stood in Sarah Keissi's way when she wanted something.

When they first started dating, he'd tried to dissuade her from driving all the way to the university to see him or to break up with him when her boss started getting suspicious of her leaking information to him. But the spitfire simply said she wanted to be with him, and that was what she did, it had been a turning point in their light paced relationship. he had to eventually talk to P.Wattani himself and give the man the chance to know him in order to lighten the tension that came out of the old man's confrontation with Sarah.

The challenging light in her eyes had him drawn to her. She stood in front of the biology department's council,- whose most members were her grandfather's age, all known professors, and scientists who dug their roots deep in their fields, she was unfazed and confident in her work, talking and explaining the new prospects about their plant. She was talented, their whole team was. and P.Wattani made sure it showed when he presented them, they were as much his pride as The Queen was.

But Elias never saw it that way, he only had to listen to her for a few moments to know that all the presumptions said about them before the presentation started had been rubbish talks. What made Elias ask her out for coffee that day was Sarah herself, who even though she clearly didn't give nearly as much attention to her attire as she did to her work, she managed to pass as a striking natural beauty with graceful elegance, at first she seemed uncomfortable in her own body, adjusting the hem of her formal blouse and slightly struggling with her trousers, but as soon as she started the presentation all her discomfort vanished and she became like a fish in water, right inside her element, she even seemed to forget she'd been wearing high heels as she moved around gracefully.

It came out that he enjoyed himself in her company and wanted to keep in contact with her, her sarcastic sense of humor drew him as much as her sheer will and devotion when it came to her field. Shortly after that, they were both stealing whatever moment they had to be in each other's company. And what started with interest became an essential part of his life. It was the start of the most treasured and harmonious relationship Elias ever had.

"Out with it." He muttered as he snapped out of his thoughts. Ray had been glancing at him from the driver's seat since they'd got into the car. Ray grinned and said after a moment of consideration. "she's a natural beauty, I see why you have been mourning."

He gave his cousin a blank look, which made him chuckle and say. "If you haven't been staring at her like a restrained beast, maybe she would have listened."

"Her life is in danger Ray, I have been trying to get that through her head for four months now."

Elias could feel the worry he has been surpressing all this time riseup, he has been trying to limit his boss' obsession since it started to get out of control, but P.Kinsley was blinded by the damn plant, it wasn't only the plant he wanted now, it was their research documents for the last year too. he went as far as bullying him about his position at the university, he dealt with it as it came, but the breaking point was when the accidents started. He was planning to haste their marriage and take her on an extended honeymoon until things died down a bit, he would have pulled some favors and made sure P.Kinsley knew his place and stopped, but Sarah broke up with him before he could talk about it with her.

"Nope, that was three months, since last month you have been nothing but a pitiful misery doing nothing but working, eating, and sleeping- though I'm starting to wonder about the last one. And besides, if you're that worried about her why did you break up?"

"I didn't break up, she was the one who walked out without a word..."

Elias still couldn't understand why, at the time he knew she believed him, it seemed like it didn't matter to her anymore, she just wanted to make him stay away from her and the Plant. The look she had when she walked out had practically begged him not to stop her, and so he hadn't. Sometimes he can't help but wonder what would have happened had he asked...

"I know you're worried, but you can't really do anything now. You already assigned a bodyguard to secretly protect her, I'm sure she would throw a tantrum when she learns it, and I'm buying tickets for the show, that is if she didn't have you arrested for stalking. But until tonight's –hoped for- dinner, you can only wait."

Ray was right, she will have a full day, and he can't add more pressure on her. She probably won't even be alone all day long. All he had to do was wait in patience. making sure his boss didn't do anything rash.

Ray remained silent for the rest of the way, and Elias was thankful for that. He needed the time to think before he could meet his superior, the news must have reached his ears by now...
