10 Sukeki Village (Part 4)

"He's dead"

This statement shut the entire room up, no one made a sound.

"What do you mean he's dead?"

Questioned Elena as Shu stared up at her with the most serious and coldest face he could pull off, his white hair covered his right eye as his left eye rolled up as for as it could to look up at the woman, his expression was serious and his happy demeanor changed

"He's dead"

Shu repeated himself with a cold tone as Ayami looked at with a concerned expression

"Hey, don't you think you should have said that in a-you know..less straightforward way?"

Ayami questioned while holding onto's Shu's shoulder shaking him a bit, as he kept his eye on Elena

"I was expecting the worse but not this"

Whispered Elena while covering her eyes with her left hand

"Shu...you're allowed to live in the village, I'd like to explain the rules to you but right now I'm not feeling all that great, so Ayami, can you take him away? And please list the set of rules he has to follow while being in our village"

Ordered Elena as her voice began to crack, tears began to fall from her eyes as Ayami nodded, pulling Shu's arm walking through the door they walked through before, appearing outside of the cube as Ayami stared at Shu for a few seconds

"Hey what the hell is your problem!?, can't you read the mood? Mr. Yorujo helped out our village a long time ago, not to mention he saved my mother's life, so to tell her that he's dead just like could break her, don't you have any common sense!?"

Ayami yelled trying to discipline him while Shu stared at the ground

"What do you want me to say? That he isn't dead? well he is, and me lying to her about it won't fix anything, it's better to tell her the truth than to have her dance around a lie"

Shu exclaimed, shutting Ayami up, she couldn't think of a good comeback and simply scuffed while beginning to walk toward the village

"Well, whatever, get moving, I'm gonna show you around the place"

Said Ayami while Shu followed behind her beginning to walk around the village, as she pointed out simple stuff for him, such as where to buy food and where to find an inn since he had no place to stay.

After a few minutes of walking, they stopped in front of a field, filled with all types of vegetables, plants, and fruits

"This is where we harvest our food, this field belongs to the village chief, every few months she orders her men to pick out the best vegetables, and fruits, then she sells them to the shopkeepers and grocers in the village, so they can then sell them to the other villagers"

Ayami explained while Shu simply nodded with an apple in his hand, biting a piece off of it

"Hey, where'd you get that apple?"

Questioned Ayami while Shu stared at her, chewing on the piece in his mouth to later swallow it as he glanced at the field pointing at it

"You aren't supposed to take any, you moron!!, they aren't yours!!, have you been listening to anything I've been saying lately?"

Ayami yelled while Shu continued to chew on his apple, thinking about her question for a few seconds

"I did. But then I stopped listening right when we got over here, I lost all my food when I fell off the mountain, I was pretty hungry, so I took this"

Said Shu with an innocent tone as Ayami simply sighed

"Well pay attention, we're moving to the smithy now"

Said Ayami while beginning to walk, as Shu followed right behind her finishing the apple, eating even the seeds, causing Ayami to look at him weird before stopping at the Smithy

"Alright, pay attention this time!"

Shouted Ayami while Shu would just nod not wanting to say anything, he didn't want to be yelled at by her if he said something she wouldn't like

"Anyway, so, we get our metal from that cave over there, our miners mine every day there"

Explained Ayami while pointing at a hole that stood behind their village inside the mountain that surrounded the village

"Then over there, the minerals that are needed to create weapons are melted by those fire lions right over there"

She added while pointing at some Lions the size of small trees with fur that seemed to be on fire. The lions seemed to be helping the villagers meltdown the metal with a high-temperature fire that came out of their gigantic mouths

"Woah!!, I wanna ride one, I've never seen an animal like that!!"

Yelled Shu preparing to dash over there but was stopped by Ayami who held his hair tightly, pulling it back so that he wouldn't run away, making him trip over his feet falling down

"Ow ow ow! it hurts, it hurts!"

He yelled while holding onto his head as Ayami increased the grip on his hair

"It's what you get for trying to ignore me!!, so stand still and way till I'm done explaining!!"

Shouted Ayami while looking down at Shu with an irritated expression

"Anyway, the melted metal is brought down by those miners so that the blacksmiths can successfully make weapons none stop. That's it for the smith, let's get going"

She ordered while pulling Shu by his hair beginning to walk right afterward, dragging him through the ground

"Why are you guys making so many weapons?"

Shu questioned not minding her holding his anymore, while Ayami just sighed, getting tired of his idiotic questions

"Didn't I tell you already? We are at war with the Elsian Kingdom right now, it's a village against an Empire, we need more weapons. Now can you please start paying attention, you basically know everything you need to know for now. So let's go over the rules the chief instructed me to teach you"

She said, beginning to go over the rules which were simple quite

1. Don't tell anyone about this village unless the chief or her personal men instruct you to

2. Killing another villager is highly restricted

3. Everything the chief says must be followed no matter how hard the request is

And lastly

4. if an enemy arrives, protect the village at call cost till a soldier who can handle the situation arrives

"That's easy enough"

He said while Ayami let his hair go shoving her right hand into her short pant's pocket, taking out a golden coin

"This should be enough to last you a week in the inn. Also, remember, don't buy any food or anything else that's unnecessary, even if I'm the village chief's daughter, I don't have unlimited money, so use this wisely and tomorrow I'll help you get a job in the village so you won't have to worry about Money. Turns out that showing you around the village took all day"

Said Ayami, to then proceed and take him to one of the three inns in the village. After entering the inn they immediately headed to the counter

"Can he please-"

Ayami was interrupted by Shu's loud and stupid yelling

"Let me get whatever a night is worth and give me all the food you can give me with the rest of the money!!, hehehehe, I get to eat a lot!"

Shu yelled as the lady running the place simply nodded doing as Shu ordered, while small veins began to pop out of Ayami's forehead

"YOU MOROOOOOOONNNNNN!!!!"
