13 Chapter 13 : A murmur through time

The United Pantheon was a group of seventy-two individuals who shared the same goal : fighting against oppression.

In the early days, before the creation of the United Pantheon, there never was a need to be united against a common enemy. The three first members of the United Pantheon, Lord Devinn, Alwyn and Kane were still too weak to see the Netherwyrm God coming. [Author's Note : The book 'Netherwyrm God', was the very first book I had ever written. Never finished it though. Stopped at 54 chapters. I plan on rewriting it soon and finish it. However, It still feels good to recycle some of its main characters.]

An ordinary punch from Devinn pulverized half of the Allgod's body. Everything from the waist to the head was gone in the blink of an eye.

Next, the two gigantic black Dragons chanted at the same time, {Fire of Creation : Underworld Crucible.}

Two furnaces appeared above the remains of the Allgod as they spewed out a black fire. The black fire engulfed the Allgod's remains and then turned them into ash.

"I see...two rare specimens using a mutated divine fire. 'Fire of Creation' you said? Hihi...I want it. Something so rare already puts you both at the Allgod level except that you can die without the protection of an Allverse Spirit." The same sexy voice was heard again. It was as if time had reversed itself. The Allgod was still standing before them unhurt.

It was Kane's turn to show his moves. He looked at the little dragon on his shoulder and then said, "Stay asleep. I'll be playing by myself." The little dragon nodded and then closed its eyes.

{Elemental Sword Domain, Death by a thousand cuts.} Chanted Kane as he did an ordinary cleave with his sword. What followed was a mournful cry as a multicolored light exploded on various part of the Allgod's body. She was cut in thousands of pieces.

The Allgod reappeared once again unhurt but he looked pale, it seemed his soul had been damaged. He said, "I can see that you all are not seriously fighting...yet you can still kill me with a few casual moves. Who are you? Where do you come from?"

Silence.

The Allgod was irritated, "Nothing? Okay...since you are not Allgods, you can still be killed...hehehe, I will now fight seriously."

The Allgod closed her eyes and then multiple versions of herself appeared around her. The number was endless.

Silas was flabbergasted, "Isn't this exactly like my [Murmur through time] spell where I ask my past and future selves to come and help me in a fight?"

Kane then said," She really wants to kill us. Let's just hope that she cannot fuse with all of them at the same time like you do."

Fortunately, once the summoning of his infinite counterparts was done, he did not fuse with them. Instead, all the Allgods started chanting the same spell: {Soul Reap}

Lord Devinn was the first to exclaim, "She's...he's trying to sacrifice our souls to the Allverse Spirit and then refine our individual powers with its help. With her infinite selves joining souls to cast a spell of this magnitude, we will suffer for sure. There's no escape...except we're not your average Divine beings..."

Lord Devinn sent a telepathic message to Anansi. The latter immediately turned back to his human form. A black book opened itself in front of him and then words started appearing on its pages:

'The king of stories once again found a worthy target. The enemy was strong and imminent death could be felt which is why, under the guidance of his Excellency Lord Devinn, the king of stories, Anansi, found a way to beat the fearsome enemy. In fact, it was common knowledge that the enemy was mentally unstable. What if I was to ask her to take her life? More specifically, taking the life of the youngest of her incarnations. By then, wouldn't the rest be dead as well?...I can feel it...she feels immense pain...heartbreak... betrayal...poor soul...let me help you be on your way. Let me pave the way for you...make a little mistake...just a mistake so miniscule you won't feel it...yes... instead of killing these innocent people, target one of your incarnation...yes, you know the one...yes the youngest...the one who had just become an Allgod...can you see him?...yes... it's him...now kill him with your spell and deliver yourself from this unbearable torment...yes...do it now...that's it...just like that..."

The Allgod didn't know that he was being plotted against.

It was only when he had finished killing himself and dissipating in motes of light that he realised that his previous state of mind was fake. It was like he wasn't himself for a moment...but it was that moment of carelessness that had been his doom.

All the incarnations, future and past, were disappearing with blank minds not knowing how all this was possible.

Meanwhile, Drake and his father John, both in human form, had arrived at the powerful blood's location unaware of the important fight happening above them.
