Rei Seo

Her name was Rei Seo, a young girl at the age of sixteen. Since she was born, she was adventurous curious and kind. Orphaned as a toddler, she was brought into a monastery and trained into a warrior monk due to her affinity with nature.

She continued her training until she mastered the basics on her sixteenth birthday and was given the chance to leave the monastery to begin her own life. In this world she was considered two years into her adult life and yet was one of the most talented monks to have been released.

She stood four foot eleven inches, an entire foot shorter than Daiki Takamori. Her hair was a blue-black and only an inch in length. Her face had a soft rounded jaw with a pointed chin, her hairline forming that of a soft heart.

If it wasn't for her rectangular and androgynous form, Daiki wouldn't have confused her for a pretty lookin boy. Though at the same time, this worked to her advantage.

A few hours after leaving the forest with the local Lord's men, Daiki and the Monk entered a drawn carriage.

"Where to, Young Master?" The man speaking in a fluent accent asked as he glanced over his shoulder towards the two seated side by side. His eyes narrowing on the monk for a few moments before glancing forward.

Moistening his lips and swallowing shallowly, "Home," was the only word which escaped his lips.

Nodding, "Of course Young Master." The carriage driver drew the roof and snapped the reigns. In moment's notice they were off towards the city sprawled across the plains surrounded by the sea of mountains and forests. In the distance, they could see the ocean passed the city limits.

The sight was breath taking experience. The sun was setting and the sky was decorated by the gold rays and red rings. Darkness was encroaching on the land in more ways than one.

The ride was bumpy, the dirt path leading into the city was uneven and covered in stones. While the roads within the city were maintained and tiled, the paths outside weren't very much so. Even in the villages on the way over to the city itself.

Daiki's head leaned back against the seat, the cushion allowing his head to sink into it. His eyes dully gazing forward, not bothering looking at the monk which sat beside him.

Rei however was looking over him the entire time. While he still smelled of what he had fallen and rolled around within, he was definitely an attractive man. Attractive enough to grasp her curiosity and thirst for adventure. His timid nature was the only thing that threw her off.

From the corner of his eye, he caught her gaze and pursed his lips in thought. Looking down towards his swords which were now at his waist, he stared at them. The look he gave them was one of disappointment.

He had the ability to use these swords against training dummies and in spars against those below him. Yet he had fear of true battle. True confrontation with possible death. Bleeding, pain, they were his enemies.

"Takamori-dono," Rei would address Daiki formally as she gently patted his shoulder.

Snapping out of it, he gave her a look before turning his attention to the world in front of him. Their vibrant colors slowly losing their brightness as the sun was slowly becoming absent.

He wore a face of contempt, he didn't know how to value himself. Why was this feeling bothering him? He was about to go home, have a hot bath and laze around before getting back to his hobbies the next day.

'Status,' Daiki said within his mind as he awaited for his status to appear to show him his current skills.

He stared at his status, though it looked as if he was completely spaced out once again by he others. He remained like this until they showed up in the front of his estate.

"We're here, Takamori-Dono," The monk nudged the man's shoulder and smirked at him as he glanced over at her and nodded.

Watching his feet, he would swiftly escape from the confinement of the carriage an walk along the granite pathway leading to the gateway of his property. The door opened and revealed young women lined up along the sides of the path.

They held prideful postures, their heads held high. Many of them kept their eyes on their master, blank smiles placed upon their faces. However when the monk appeared walking in beside him, many of their smiles disappeared.

Who was the person walking beside him so casually? A monk? Some of them with greater perception could see through her guise and into the person's heart.

A female monk? Their eyes centered on their master who's hand was mere centimeters away from Rei.

Rei could feel a great amount of intrigue emanating from the women awaiting them. Many of them were around her age, if not a few years older. It was just as the rumors said, his mother hired all women to take up positions in his estate.

As the two walked down the isle of servants, they made their way to the front door where he kicked off his sandals an walked inside. Sliding the door open and leaving it so for his new servant.

Removing her foot wraps, the monk would leave them outside as she walked in and closed the doors behind them. Turning her head she looked towards Daiki she was rather curious of the lack of communication he had. Even though he was timid, she wondered how the house even functioned like this. Did he have someone to speak for him? Was he lonely?

Eventually as she watched him, he disappeared around a corner. She could hear running water and a gentle smell of sulfur. From what the history of this city had, it was apparent that a hot spring had been here before. So he had it as his personal bath?

Rei flushed a light red as she imagined having a whole bath to herself and almost melted on the spot. She hurried over to the corner that her new master had went and paused as she made it to her desired destination.

Her face turned an extreme red, flustered by the sight of Daiki undressing; tossing his dirty layers of robing and pants to the ground and walking inside; sliding the door closed behind him.

Gulping with a glint in her eye, she walked over and reached down, picking up his clothes and tucking them under her arm and placed them into a nearby basket beside the door. "He's lazy," a grin covered her lips as she made this observation.

With one finger, she opened the door just enough to see inside the room which had stone flooring and lush vegetative decor. There he was, just sitting in the water. It appears he had already rinsed and washed himself off and was relaxing.
