4 All That Glitters Is Not Gold

"Ouch, it hurts so much! You big meanie. It was my first time but you don't know how to show me any compassion."

Ye Yang was stunned for a second before his heart bloomed in delight.

Turning to see Su Muxue wrapped in a towel, Ye Yang embraced her and gave her a kiss.

Then, right before her eyes, he slapped himself in the face.

"Ouch… I'm not dreaming? Time hasn't reset? Did I break free from the loop?"

Meanwhile to Su Muxue, it was like Ye Yang was being possessed. Fear bubbled in her heart and she subconsciously held the towel tighter around her, looking at Ye Yang with mild concern in her eyes.

'Why did this guy suddenly go bonkers? Did he perhaps enjoyed himself too much last night and overexerted himself? If this is the case, won't I be the one to blame?'

"Hey, are you okay?" Su Muxue asked carefully.

"I'm not okay. I'm super okay!" Ye Yang answered with great excitement.

Upon hearing this, guilt flashed across Su Muxue's face, and like an ostrich, she buried her head inside the blankets.

Ye Yang didn't have time for Su Muxue. He rummaged around the bed to find his phone so he could be sure of the date.

"August 9th. It's really August 9th. Hahaha… I'm free! I'm finally free!" Ye Yang cackled madly.

Ten thousand years. He finally escaped this endless prison that he had been trapped in for more than ten thousand years. In these ten thousand years, he had been repeating the same day. Besides his memories, everything would reset when he woke up the next day.

At first, Ye Yang thought he had hit a jackpot. He quite enjoyed this new lifestyle.

But slowly, the excitement decreased and Ye Yang found himself falling into a long period of boredom.

During the loop, he had once lost himself and wanted to end this lifestyle. But death couldn't solve his problem and he remained trapped in this 'cage'.

After god knows how many days, Ye Yang finally thought it through and began learning new things to enrich himself. If one day wasn't enough, he would use two. After all, time was all he had.

Eventually, the skills in his arsenal increased. He learned more than a hundred languages. He also mastered fighting, boxing, driving, playing the piano, cooking, and various others until his skills were considered top-notched in the world.

Ye Yang learned whatever he could before he began researching people and other matters. This ended up becoming his only method of killing time. He soon learned about everyone's secrets and managed to grasp their weaknesses.

"Just you wait. I will shake the world!" Ye Yang pumped up his fist, the determination clear in his eyes.

With the memories he possessed, reaching the world's summit wouldn't be a problem at all.

'Ding! Kunlun Mirror successfully repaired.' Suddenly, a mechanical voice spoke in Ye Yang's mind.

Ye Yang was dumbstruck before he felt another wave of exhilaration.

After regaining his senses, Ye Yang wanted to ask Qiong Yao some questions but the spirit was currently offline. Recalling Qiong Yao's words earlier, she must have gone into hibernation.

"Hey, should I call you an ambulance?" Su Muxue suddenly poked her head out and studied Ye Yang with her big round eyes.

"What for?"

Before Su Muxue could finish, a hasty knock on the door interrupted her.

"Does the Porsche 911 at the alleyway belong to you? It's blocking the path. Come on out and move it."

Having said that, Ye Yang went over to the window and craned his neck over to look outside.

At the alleyway, a few people were strolling back and forth, investigating the area.

"That was fast." Ye Yang tugged the corners of his lips into a playful grin.

But things were different now! Today was August 9th!

Ye Yang opened the door. Without waiting for the two to take action, he initiated an attack. Ye Yang kicked the man in front in the stomach before straightening his palm like a knife and striking the intruder's neck. His control was precise.

The man soon fell to the ground after losing consciousness.

While the other guy was dumbstruck, Ye Yang threw a punch at his temple. There were no excessive movements in his attacks.

When Ye Yang and Su Muxue appeared downstairs, the two men guarding the gates recognized them. One of them shouted at the alleyway, saying, "Come over quick! He's here!"
