59 Hold on the time

The news among Iven's people spread like wildfire, without even him telling it and even before he could reach the base.

Yuka came to know it from his underground sources and ran off to search for Iven like crazy. He found him strolling totally lost towards home. He didn't dare ask studying his face as he knew it was truth.

It was resembling a zombie, hollow eyes and firm expressions!

As if he's been stabbed through hard!!!

Mak and the others had connections with other small fishes in their business.

Every one was well aware of Iason's return as they really feared him. Their measures were not decent enough, or rather to be precise.....Psychotic!

They heard that the gang had a huge break out with someone who has been taken captive!

They were not but sure about it, only when Yuka and Iven returned.

Judging Iven's face and Yuka's silent shaking of head, they knew the unbelievable news without asking.

The person indulged in the break out.....is none other than...Seb!!!

There was dead silence prevailed among everyone. Nobody said a single word.

They didn't know what words could be satisfactory enough.

The atmosphere was down and dark all over....

Iven chose to isolate himself from everyone.

No one went against.

They knew what Seb meant to him, and what he going through right then!

He excused himself by telling that he's been plotting a plan to find Seb, but it was a complete lie to them and himself!

In fact, he has no start of a idea what even to do, where to start from.....his mind, completely lost and blank!!!

He just wanted to spend the solitary time by himself, suffering the sorrow which no one can undergo except him!

In the other room, Yuka sat totally depressed and out of his wits.

He found no usable clue to catch up since Iason's been infamous for a undercover base of his gang.

Mak just punch walls to release his anger.

Hamish just sighed and shook his head slowly whereas Kenny still tried and made certain calls for heads up regarding Seb's whereabouts.

Yuka was growing impatient that Iven wasn't showing himself in such a situation,"Where the hell is Noah?", he asked noticing his absence.

No one cared to reply.

"He's gone out a while ago, He'll be back soon", Kenny said carelessly.

"Call him back now, it's dangerous out there now!", Yuka ordered.

Kenny nodded once and got busy again.

The door of the common room opened slowly.

It was Iven who entered, with a dull and pale face.

Everybody looked up to him solemnly.

He studied the look of hope in each of their eyes. He's their leader, they indeed look up to him.

But.....he's.....not worth it.

He couldn't even protect well his woman, whom he cherished the most.

"I....", he began to speak the decision he spend a hard time taking,"....am disbanding the base.....", his voice least confident.

Nobody reacted. There was no gasps or protests. None of them even had a change in facial expression.

They just kept looking at Iven with frozen faces.

"I'm not capable enough to carry this responsibility anymore....", he continued looking down,"....so I can't endanger any one anymore. You better find your way....."

Before he could even complete, a sudden hand crashed through his cheeks without holding back, as hard as possible!!!

It was so rough which broke every one free of their dazes and made Iven land on his back!

Every one thought it was Mak, only he can be this rush.....but it wasn't.....

Yuka was standing, looking at Iven fuming all over!

His eyes burning.

Iven gaping at him, trying to get a hold of his senses.

Was this the always calm Yuka?

What made him turn furious to the extent leading him to hit even Iven, the one to whom he's most loyal to?

Iven really felt Yuka strength at that time, which reminded him how he had picked him up from being a street thug! His cheek was red already.

Yuka looked at him with wild eyes and spoke,"You dare say that again!!!"

Saying that, he marched at him like a madman and held him up by clutching at Iven's collars.

Iven didn't resist or anything. He felt shame spread all over him....

Yuka shook him all over and made him face his eyes.

"Look at me!", he yelled,"look at all of us! Who do you think we are? Orphans? Street thugs? Drug addicts? Illegal fighters? Are we? No, we are not!!!" Yuka pointed at every one's past, to what they were

before Iven found them. Each one of them did something beyond society.

It was Iven who gave them a life and hope. He gave them what is precisely called.....a family!

And if your benefactor throws you away, It's something no one can imagine of.

"So you want to make us return back once from where you had saved us???", Yuka beamed,"You think we will be decent enough to be able to lead such a life? We won't return to what we wee before?"

Yuka threw him back with a push and took weak steps back himself.

"What? You are just a coward Iven!", he cursed,"You are just not brave enough to face this. And this is all you can up with??? Let go since you couldn't protect one person?".

Iven still gazed down, taking all the piercing truth.

"Let me tell you one thing", he clenched his teeth,"Even if you point a gun at me telling me to leave, I'm never going to leave you! Nor any one of us will!!!".

Every one's face was growing firmer with the agreement of topic.

"And you think you can save Seb if you do this?", he dropped down to her,"You will lead her to the consequence same as Judy!!!"

The last line finally grabbed Iven complete.

He looked up him with shocked eyes.

Judy.....that's right.....

It's the same what happened to him.....

Everybody gasped!

"Therefore Iven...", Yuka's voice decreased in wildness,"...stop saying nonsense which won't help and get a hold of yourself already! We are just losing time this way. If you feel guilty enough that

you couldn't protect her, then redeem it. Remember her last words...."

And the words immediately rang beside Iven's ears.

It was never ceased to stop haunting him either.

"Please come....get me....."

Iven didn't want to recall that broken helpless voice of hers anymore.

She expected him to come, he always does.

She was injured from before too, and then underwent that inhumane thing against Iason.

He doesn't even want to imagine how much she's injured to make her sound like that.

But he couldn't this time.

That made him totally crestfallen!

"...don't let her suffer the same thing as Judy did....", Yuka's had softened.

And that conclusion line was what finally needed.

Iven looked up directly at Yuka.

His eyes sharp, his weak expression changed to a dark one.

His ego has changed.

"You're right", he said with his usual deep voice,"I was driven by emotions. That was stupid of me for a moment. But now....I know what I should do!".

Every one exchanged hopeful glances. Their leader was finally in his form.

Now only the priority is find Seb.

"Mak, take the boys and scavenge every lane of the area", he ordered,"Hamish and Kenny, inform all our subs to keep an open eyes at abandoned areas. Others, spread out beyond the area

and take notice of all the unusual places which have been isolated. It's most likely where Iason will take base. Lastly....Yuka...."

Yuka stepped forward ready to take the order.

Iven said,"Next time I say something like this, you have my permission to bring me back to my senses", he looked with his colorless eyes,"I'll really kick you out if you dare hit me again..."

And the last line was indeed a serious warning.

Yuka didn't meet his eyes and just bent his head down.

"Supervise them", and that was the actual order.

"Yes", he replied excited.

"Did you call Noah?", he inquired as soon the orders were received. Everyone were already on their toes.

"I did", Kenny said disappointed,"It came off".

"Where is he in this perilous moment?", Iven had overheard it,"Get him here right now. It's already midnight, hours have passed since the incident. It's not safe".

The door suddenly banged opened.

Noah stormed in with a fearful expression on his face and panting tremendously.

He was trying to catch the breath he lost while rushing back.

He tried speaking, but his breath was swollen!

"Noah!", Mak scolded,"Where were you this whole time???".

"Your phone came off too", kenny complained.

"Do you have any idea what has happened?", even Yuka scolded him.

Noah raised his hand telling them to stop as he tried to get out of the heavy breath and speak.

He couldn't seem to wait.

His face was panicked.

Iven was the one who noticed that.

"Wait.....has something happened Noah?", he calmly asked folding his hands.

Finally he received some open time from all the naggings.

He didn't get a chance to say it for all the enquiries and confrontations earlier.

"It's....", he still panted terribly, but saying it was more important,"It's her! It's Seb!!! I saw her".

And everyone's attention was gained in no time.

That was what they needed.

The one important trail....to find her!

Iven's hand immediately dropped, as everyone turned at him at once.

"Where?", he asked sharply with narrowed eyes, but changed his motion in a second,"No! Let's go. Tell it on the way. There's no time to lose. Call the boys, now!!!".

Everyone's attitude changed in no time.

They all wore hard faces and raging eyes.

Their jaw tightened and fury unleashed all over their body.

"Any one mentally sensible can stay back...", Iven warned,"...since it's not going to be clean and smooth this time".

"Sorry Iven, but we all have a common promise to keep for someone", Noah said it,"and because of that, no one is allowed to get sensible".

Being the youngest he said that.

He never knew that it was all Seb's influence on them all.
