Inauguration and Date

The very next morning Kakashi was called to hokage's office under the threat of banning icha-icha books & having Gai has his personal cheerleader.

Kakashi on hearing the threat snapped up from his sleep. Just imagining Gai as his cheerleader gave him chills.

And he jumped to hokage's tower in his sleepwear, leaving behind all rationality. The Anbu sent to relay the order was left  sweatdropping.

On reaching the hokage tower he barged into the room and saw all the hokage with the elders. Somewhere in his mind a chibi Kakashi was crying tears of joy and saying we are safe.

The elders and hokage surprised with Kakashi attire inquired

" Kakashi are you alright? Did something happen? Whats with the attire?"

Kakashi just ignored and didn't reply. The elders and hokage let the matter go. The hokage then informed Kakashi that he should prepare a speech for his inaugration this afternoon.

Kakashi requested hokage and the elders to push the inauguration forward by a day. He still has one important thing to  take care of before his inaugration. The elders & hokage didn't push for a reason and accepted.

Kakashi then left via sunshin.

He reappeared in his home to dress appropriately. Appearing outside Akimichi restaurant, he went in and ordered a meal on go after paying he left taking his purchase with him.

He then to Yamanaka flower shop and purchased a small bouquet with a card and left.

He then went to research division and approached Shizune who was just taking a break. He sat himself in front of her, giving her the bouquet, he left without saying anything.

Shizune meanwhile sat there shocked unable to say anything. She then snapped out of her shocked state, pinching herself to see if she was hallucinating. She reached for the bouquet and opened the letter she read

Roses are red

Voilets are blue

Love never crossed my mind until I met you

Will you be accompany me on my life journey?

I will wait for your reply on hokage mountain

Shizune was very touched by the gesture. She knew it was not Kakashi's style and appreciated his gesture. She quickly got to her feet, ran home, got dressed and left to meet him.

On reaching the designated place she saw him standing there with a picnic setting. She approached him and opened her mouth to answer his question. When he just stopped her and told her he knows that she will say no, so just let him enjoy the time.

Shizune on other hand just hugged him and whispered into his ear that yes she will accompany him in his life journey. Kakashi's heart soared and they enjoyed the rest of the day together. Kakashi then told her of his inaugration tomorrow and will she still accept him. She said yes. Kakashi then walked her home.

Next Morning

A lot of people were gathered at the bottom of hokage tower waiting for an announcement.

Sarutobi stepped forward and told the crowd that he is retiring from today with the new hokage in place.

Kakashi then stepped forward and was named the 5th hokage.
