1 Chapter 1: New Restaurant in Glory City

On a normal, warm afternoon.

Merchants were seen throughout the street, trying to show off and promote the goods they were selling while nobles and commoners alike were walking around, hoping they could find something worth spending their money on.

This afternoon was special however as the top school in the city, Holy Orchid Institute, just ended their classes and young people ages 11-13 could be seen walking out from the building.

But it was scene too common for a man who was currently tending to his shop. He was now washing the dishes of a couple who just finished with what they quoted the most delicious meal they ever had. Just remembering their faces when they tried his food brought a smile to his face.

The man had a very carefree look with a very infectious smile plastered on his face. He had oddly balck spiky hair which was currently tied into a ponytail while he was wearing a chef's iconic white uniform. If one looked closely, they could see the rippling body of muscle he was hiding behind the uniform showing that he practiced his body and was adeptly strong. He was standing around 6'0 and was considered a 9/10 on the handsome scale. Heck many of his female customers asked him out but he kindly refused as he was not interested in that now.

This man was currently tending to his restaurant which was oddly very similar to a certain ramen shop in a certain ninja/alien infested world, but that was a story for another time. The restaurant had an open front with cloth banners hanging from the roof of the door frame partially covering what was inside the shop, almost tempting customers to come in. Inside one could see 7 stools lined in side by side which in front of them was a one long strip of table used for eating. Behind the table lay the kitchen where the man was now, closing his shop for the day and preparing to head up to the second floor where his bedroom was.

"I'm glad people are enjoying my food in this world, I was worried at first how they would view something different but quite the contrary, they seem to love my food, which my wallet is loving right now." mused the man as he finished washing and sorting the plates while he prepared to close the store.

That's right, this young man, our MC, is a reincarnator that came from a world much like ours. Just like you and me, this young man came from a world where society was ruled by science and modernization. He was just walking down the street where suddenly he was hit in the head with a cricket ball by the local cricket team when they hit the ball. Obviously, he died after that hit but instead of the cliche of going to a white space and meeting some ROB as people called it, he was directly sent to a forest with a basic memory set of his current world and one item that was given to him from who knows where.

He learned that he was in the world of Tales of Demons and Gods and that he was in a 'human' body that looked oddly similar to Goku from DBZ. In front of him was a pill-like object that screamed that it was some 'Heavenly Treasure' as people in wuxia called it. He was skeptical at first but then went for it as he already experienced death once and it was nothing too bad. He ate it and felt a tyrannical presence and a cultivation method enter his soul and mind while he tried to absorb it.

Once he absorbed the presence and method, he ran the energy as the method stated and finally calmed down. He finally learned that this was his demon spirit and how coincident that it was demon spirit that had a divine level growth rate and a primordial bloodline. The demon spirit he received was the ancient saiyan king Yamoshi and the cultivation method he received was called Titan Great Ape Hundred Revolutions. It was a cultivation method that when achieved to the peak, which was one hundred revolutions, they could attain a realm even higher than the fabled Supreme Realm. How fitting for a Saiyan demon spiritualist.

Once he found out his gains he was ecstatic, not only because he got such a godly gift, but also because he could practice his passion in peace which was cooking! As well as liking action packed shonen anime's, he also liked those anime's such as Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars) and Toriko that had cooking as their main theme. He especially liked Saiba Joichiro from Food Wars as he traveled the world to hone his talent and passion while he, with typical asian parents, was practically forced to pursue being an engineer or Doctor. Now that he was free from those shackles he could pursue cooking and strangely enough he had Saiba's talent and memories of his recipes stuffed in his head as well.

And that's how 3 years went by in the forest which he later found out was the Black Devil Forest from the corpses he found here and there while training his strength with the demon spirits. He also found a map to Glory City among one of the belongings of a corpse along with a couple million demon spirit coins. He guessed that it was some deserter who stole his family fortune but ultimately perished because this was too much currency to be on hand for a normal outing.

After completing around 40 revolutions, he was equivalent to 5 Star Black Gold peak demon spiritualist. He also practiced his cooking and digested the memories of Saiba Joichiro and now his skill level could be equivalent to a 5 Star peak chef in his old world. Having enough of living alone and in need of human interaction, he wore the damaged clothes of the corpses and dawned over a cloak and headed towards Glory City.

When he first arrived at the gate, the guards were suspicious of his identity as they never heard of a human outside of Glory City so when they saw him they thought he was a member of the dark guild, the enemy of the city. He still remembered when the City Lord Ye Zong and the other Black Gold demon spiritualist in the city confronted him and how he had to make some bullshit story of how his parents were in love with each other but couldn't marry each other due to the clan's hating each other. So they decided to elope and run away from Glory City and live outside the city. Many years later they had a kid and they died when he was small. For added measure, he gave the map to the City Lord which he immediately noticed that it was from Glory City.

With that, they seemed to trust his claims and when they asked what cultivation he was at, he revealed to them that he was 2 Star Black Gold instead of his real Peak 5 Star Black Gold. Regardless, they seemed surprised at his achievements and at such a young age as well and they immediately tried to rope him in their families. He rejected of course and asked if there was a shop where he could use to set up a restaurant and the City Lord immediately got him one located where many of the big equipment and produce stores are at so that business could hopefully be good. Well, it obviously did as he had customers come in right after he opened. Both his handsome appearance and his almost orgasam inducing food made his resteraunt a big hit. It was also the novelty design where there wasn't a big dining area and you could see the food cooking which made his restaurant a big hit in the city.

Obviously there were spy's from other families sent out to keep tabs on the mysterious newcomer but after tasting his food, they all said good things to their respective masters to keep the godly food from leaving the city. Like that two years passed and we arrived at the present scene.

The now 25 year old Wu Kong, as he decided to name himself to pay homage to his current appearance and powers, just closed the gate to his shop and went up to his room to relax.

"Phew, today was a busy day as usual. That last couple just had to act all lovey dovey in front of me. Like I mean, there wasn't a need to brag to a single dog like me was there! I was half tempted to punch his face in but that would have destroyed everything behind him as well. Well I'll probably find someone sooner or later, who would have thought that cultivation makes you more attractive as well. Like damn, there were only beauties in this city." Wu Kong mumbled to himself as he got into a comfortable position to cultivate. He was just at the threshold to breakthrough to Legend Rank.

What no one knew was that by using his cultivating method, the Titan Great Ape 100 Revolutions, by trying to complete one revolution, his body would break then heal over and over to both strengthen the body and the mid so it was incredibly hard to complete 1 revolution, much less 42 which is what he has accomplished now. Though one has to go through great pain to cultivate this art, the benefits speak for themselves. He can cross ranks and defeat Legend Rank beasts and obliterate Black Gold and below beasts. This also added to his fame as he often served Gold rank and above beasts in his food and priced it to where commoners could order it as well which garnered him gratitude and admiration from both nobles and commoners. He also got regular visits from the City Lord and the other patriarchs of the major clans but that wasn't important.

He was halfway to completing the 43'rd revolution when he suddenly couldn't bear the pain and decided to call it here for cultivation. Wu Kong then went to his backyard, yes he had a backyard, and started to enter his demon spiritualised state. Suddenly red fur started to grow on his arms and leg area and a long, red, fuzzy monkey tail sprouted out from lower back. His hair started to elongate and become even more spiky that came to his lower neck and iris became an intense yellow with red eyeshadow lining his intense, savage looking eyes. His upper body bulked up a bit with his chest area the only remaining part of his body not containing fur.

Wu Kong felt a tyrannical and savage aura within his body that wanted to come forth and destroy everything but contained it within his body and started to practice the martial arts he learned from his last life.

Yes, his demon spirit state looks exactly like Super Saiyan 4 from GT. He was surprised at first as he thought he would have to go through the saiyan transformations in order to unlock this state or at least turn into a great ape but when he thought about it, it made sense. The spirit he has is an "ancient" saiyan so to speak. This was probably the first form they achieved when they managed to evolve from the tyrannical great ape and condense its massive power to the ultimate limit. The sequential power ups from super saiyan to super saiyan 3 was probably the process to return to the original form and using the true power of the Great Ape transformation condensed.

He also had the ability to fly and shoot out Ki blast using his soul force and they were practically like grenades in this world. They could decimate buildings in minutes.

Well this was still a great result regardless as he felt the tyrannical aura and instincts and trained his control. If one could see from his backyard, they would see a red blur zipping through the air from one place to another, feeling heart palpitations from his aura alone. Once he was done training an hour later, he took a bath and went to sleep, preparing for the customers to enjoy his food the next day.
