2 Chapter 2: "I Appear To Be Too Strong"

"I volunteer!"

Before Saitama could clarify that he was not a contestant, the enthusiastic audience propelled him onto the stage, where the testing apparatus awaited him.

Satan held the microphone and declared, "Come on, young man, show your strength to the audience!"

Inevitably, Saitama found himself unable to decline this challenge, driven by his curiosity about the so-called One Punch Man's abilities.

Under the scrutinizing gaze of the crowd, he slowly raised his fist and lightly tapped the testing device. What followed was something rather unexpected.

The measuring device emitted a deafening noise and shattered into countless fragments, puncturing the backdrop like bullets of various sizes.

The entire audience fell silent. Both the spectators and the host were dumbfounded, with Satan slumped on the ground, wearing a wry grin.

Even Son Goku and the others were taken aback by this display of power, their faces registering surprise.

Piccolo furrowed his brow and remarked, "Surprisingly, this guy possesses incredible power, yet I sense no hostility within him."

Goku chimed in, "Maybe there are strong individuals in this world who don't rely on Ki. I'd love to spar with him someday."

Vegeta, on the other hand, sneered, "Any one of us could destroy that testing gadget; it's nothing special. And how can someone without Ki mastery be considered strong? Are you ready to take on my challenge? I haven't been idle during the years you spent in the afterlife."

With that said, Vegeta confidently ascended the stage, prepared to undergo the test.

By inadvertently destroying the strength tester, Saitama somehow found himself officially entered into the world's top Budokai tournament, standing in the ring with the title of the strongest Earthling—Krillin—as his opponent.

Krillin, the diminutive bald martial artist, was limbering up on the opposite side of the ring.

In truth, Krillin shared Vegeta's belief that true strength came from mastering Ki. The stronger one's Ki, the more powerful they became. Unfortunately, Saitama displayed no Ki control, resembling an ordinary person.

Perhaps in the eyes of common folk, Saitama might be considered formidable, but against a seasoned fighter like Krillin, his chances of victory appeared slim.

The game began with the resounding beat of a gong and drum.

"Mr. Saitama, I must apologize. My wife is demanding that I win this bonus for our world tour. So, I'll have to say goodbye to you soon!"

In an instant, Krillin vanished from his spot, reappearing directly in front of Saitama.

Almost simultaneously, a shockwave rippled out in a ring around them, a product of their intense clash.

At some point, Krillin's fist had struck Saitama's abdomen, yet the latter stood still, seemingly unfazed.

A bead of sweat trickled down Krillin's cheek as he swallowed hard. How could this man completely ignore his full-strength blow?

No one on Earth, except for Goku and his companions, possessed such an extraordinary ability. Moreover, Saitama exhibited no aura whatsoever.

"Krillin... Are you trying to tickle me?" Saitama awkwardly quipped.

Krillin had struck Saitama with all his might, and it had been completely ineffective. It felt like punching water.

"Is this the power of the One Punch Man? It's astonishing!" Saitama exclaimed, his confidence soaring.

"Impossible!" Krillin shouted, summoning all his strength and launching another furious assault on Saitama's abdomen.

The entire arena trembled, gravel scattered, and dust filled the air. It seemed an eternity before Krillin retreated, gasping for breath and soaked in sweat.

Despite the deafening cheers from the audience, Krillin was far from pleased. His previous assault had drained his energy, and he was thoroughly exhausted.

However, through the haze of dust, Saitama still stood unperturbed.

"Um... This is a bit embarrassing; your attacks don't seem to have any effect on me. I appear to be too strong," Saitama lamented.

It was becoming evident that Saitama was indeed exceptionally powerful.

In the stands, Goku and the others grew increasingly uneasy. Everyone could see that Krin had given his all.

Krillin, the weakest among them, could not be ignored even by Son Goku without entering Super Saiyan. Yet, the bald fighter in the ring did not seem to take Krillin's attacks seriously at all.

Number 18 shouted, "Krillin, be careful! This guy is not an ordinary opponent!"

Krillin glanced in Number 18's direction, wiped the sweat from his face, and retorted to Saitama, "You're quite the egoist, aren't you? Don't underestimate me, you big bald head!"
