Chapter 2: Soul Crystal

One Year Later,

"Finally, I have assimilated all my past memories. Though, the most useful one was definitely the memory of TDG. Who would have thought that there was an alternate reality where the future of this world was written in the form of a book. I did hear all the talk about the City Lord finally having a daughter so, I have 13 years for the star of the so called plot."

"Still I can't believe that bastard Kong Ming sent someone to the past. That goes against the very laws of the universe. He would definitely need a long time to recover from that."

" What I need to do now is to get my hands on a soul crystal to test my affinity to determine my cultivation."

The following days, Chen Tian tried to stealthily crawl away from the cradle. Well, he quickly discovered that a baby was not that stealthy. Though his efforts did pay off as his parents were worried that he would eventually hurt himself and decided to let him out of his cradle and play but, they did assign him a maid.

The maid was even more troublesome to get rid of. She always pinched his cheeks and said how cute he was. Eventually, the maid did have needs and it was during one of these breaks that he managed to slip away from the manor.

He was chanting 'I am the ninja baby' in his mind while sneaking through the streets. He eventually chanced upon a shop selling soul crystals and managed to sneak one away while the shopkeeper was not watching.

He let his soul force slowly enter the crystal. First, it flashed red then it quickly became orange, yellow, green, cyan, azure and indigo. After it reached indigo it stopped for a while and then flased gold and exploded.

"Thank God I did that in a secluded alley. It looks like the tribulation changed my soul force to the legendary gold soul realm and it looks like it is attributeless. I clearly remember that my soul realm was indigo in my last life."

"I can finally practice the Heavenly Emperor Technique that I got in the ancient ruins. It has the potential to reach the God Realm."

He quickly grabbed another crystal meant for checking soul force and entered his soul force. The crystal showed the number 263.

"It looks like I am in the 2 star Bronze Realm even before cultivating. It must be because of my strong soul. Well it looks like I am getting late and the maid will be back anytime now. I better get ready to talk because the first thing I am going to say is to get me away from that maid.
