World Information (Spoilers!)

————————————–—————————

As this story takes place in a fantasy world, there will be some information that differs from our own.

Diotla is the name of the continent where the story takes place, and it is named after one of the hero's allies that survived. Split into three, while humans take up the majority of the population, other races like Elves and Dwarves arrive from other continents occasionally.

KINGDOMS

The first kingdom is named Akarui, to the north of the continent, and consists of mercenaries, adventurers, ruins, and monsters. Their king is known to be power-oriented, and therefore most funds go to the military. It is suspected that they are preparing for war against the neighboring kingdoms.

The second kingdom is the magician's kingdom of Shin, towards the east. It is known for training and producing many high-status 'mages', those who can control mana and other forces by their will. The queen is likely inhuman, as it is rumored she had lived at least three hundred years. Despite this, she is a fair and just ruler and tries to make her kingdom a safe haven for all.

Lastly is the merchant kingdom of Genkai, a large merchant kingdom that trades with other continents. It takes up the majority of the continent, and trades with other continents while distributing them throughout Diotla. Rather than a ruler, the kingdom is ruled by an oligarchy, where each ruler focuses on a certain category of products. Slave trade isn't illegal, so many inhuman races are brought here.

TOWNS

Sunshade

A town that was previously located in the heart of Sunshade Forest, was abandoned after many of the citizens were injured by a unknown person, and the forest began to die. Before this, it was known for being a safe and calm haven where many came to retire.

Sailhads

A large city in Genkai, on the border of the slums. It is home to one of the largest guilds in Genkai, and attracts many people and merchants from all over Diotla. There is a clear discrimination between those of Sailhads and those from the neighboring slums, and it has even become a sport to hunt those who have escaped into Sailhads.

MAGIC and ABILITIES

In this world, magic is inherited by heritage, and is stronger with each passing generation, as traits are combined into more powerful magic.

However, not everyone can use magic, as it is often strictly available to those of higher status, such as nobles and royals with a pedigree. Those who don't have a family name almost never have magical abilities, and instead are trained with weapons, physical strength, and natural talent. Of course, occasionally someone can be born with magic despite neither parent having any, but they are very rarely powerful enough to create a physical manifestation of their magical abilities, instead enchanting weapons and allies. Those who do such things are often referred to as 'enchanted knights', and are sought after due to both their rarity, and the fact that, if trained correctly, they can become more powerful then even pure mages. Unfortunately, the enchanter trait cannot be passed by blood like magic.
