A Promise Sealed with a Ring

After Yutu finished writing the poem, he immediately tidied up all his writing materials. Despite feeling utterly exhausted, he forced himself to go to the kitchen.

He commanded the wind to bring him everything he needed for cooking. Once all the ingredients were within reach, Yutu quickly prepared a roasted duck and even added some roses to it.

He put extra effort into cooking, hoping it would soften the heart of his beloved, who had been so grumpy earlier. This was the first time he had gone to such lengths in his entire life, but Muyan was different in his eyes, and he considered himself lucky to have cared for her.

After finishing the roasted duck, Yutu immediately started making porridge. He knew that Muyan needed to eat, especially after her recent anxiety attack. He again commanded the wind to clean up the mess from cooking. Yutu placed the cooked dishes in bowls made of old wood. Once everything was in the bowls, he placed them in a basket. He also folded the poem he had written until it was small enough to fit in the basket.

With the basket in hand, Yutu hurriedly walked into the room. As soon as he entered, he found Muyan still crying uncontrollably. He couldn't help but feel compassion for her.

She had just managed to distract herself from her emotions, and now she was hurting again.

Although Yutu knew that Muyan was still very angry with him, he was now willing to take the risk just to feed her. If she pushed him away, he would summon the courage to persevere. He didn't want to give up, no matter how many times Muyan rejected him.

Yutu carefully seated Muyan and held her firmly, despite her struggling. She eventually gave up and resorted to crying. Since she had no appetite, Yutu set aside the food for now and embraced her, hoping that this would stop her tears.

"Y-you're n-not r-really m-my Mr. Right." Muyan's voice was still trembling as she spoke, even though she was sobbing. "I need to forget you for the sake of my heart."

Her words sound quite serious. The words Muyan uttered were like nails on a chalkboard to Yutu. He couldn't stand hearing them because they hurt his ears.

At this moment, Muyan felt like a wounded animal that had fallen into a deep pit with no one to catch her, and she was beginning to regret revealing her feelings to Yutu so quickly.

She knew she was partly to blame for becoming so easily accessible, but she didn't deserve to be kissed and used, only to be discarded afterward. It wasn't fair to her because she had given meaning to everything.

Due to her anger, Muyan approached Yutu, slapped him, and boldly stated, "You deserved to be hurt physically. That's for taking advantage of me."

Yutu hugged Muyan again. He was determined to do his best to win her love this time. "I'm sorry. I won't hurt you again. Just trust me, just this time. If I am bad to you again, I will let you go. I am begging you. Just give me another chance to prove my love for you." He gently pushed Muyan down onto the bed. Because of Muyan's vulnerability, she seemed to forget all the pain Yutu had caused her.

"Okay, I will give you a chance. If you want me to become your girlfriend, I will now say yes."

After saying yes, she started wiping her tears away. Yutu was overjoyed by her words and hugged her tightly, as if he had missed her terribly.

"I don't want you to become my girlfriend."

Muyan raised an eyebrow when she heard what he said. She thought he was going to hurt her again. She really wanted to leave the room right now because she didn't want to sob in front of him anymore.

Muyan turned away, slowly walking away from him. Suddenly, Yutu grabbed her arm. He stopped her from doing what she wanted to do.

"Hey, let me finish my words." Muyan suddenly stopped and looked at him with a bewildered face. "Muyan, I don't want you to become my girlfriend because I only want you to become my wife."

Muyan's initial irritation was replaced by overwhelming delight. She hugged Yutu tightly. For the next few minutes, they embraced each other even more tightly until they couldn't breathe. Finally, they pulled away from each other, gasping for air.

Muyan gazed at Yutu with puppy eyes, trying to look cute. "Darling, hand me a ring," she requested, extending her hand. Yutu was confused by her request and asked, "I will hand you a ring? For what?"

Yutu's mind raced, thinking of various possibilities. Did she want his ring as a symbol of wealth? Well, the ring didn't contain wealth, but it was crucial for him as it held half of his power. This ring helps him make his dao sword powerful.

He relied on this ring. It gave him power to make the wind follow his orders. Without it, he won't be very powerful anymore.

However, he decided to give it to her to demonstrate his sincerity and true love. He took his dao sword and got the ring from being attached to it.

"This ring will be given to you," he said, taking off the ring he was wearing. "I know that you will marry me, so I won't ask you about it anymore. Just wear it. It looks more perfect on your finger." He put the ring on her finger. "This ring contains half of my power. If you want to achieve anything, just command it while wearing the ring, and it will grant all your wishes. Cherish my ring as you cherish my heart," he added with a smile.

Muyan appreciated the gesture and promised never to take the ring off unless her love for Yutu disappeared. But that was impossible; her feelings for him were deep, and she was certain she would love this handsome man forever.

"I love you!" Muyan said sweetly, melting Yutu's heart.

Yutu was ecstatic. His heart was soaring with happiness because he and Muyan were finally together officially. He realized that he should have confessed his love earlier, but it was not too late. Muyan was still his, and this was truly a special moment in his life.

Yutu looked into Muyan's eyes and gently held her face with both hands. "I am Ling Yutu, the prince of the Demon Clan and your soon-to-be husband." After saying these words, he kissed Muyan passionately. Their kisses were intense but filled with genuine love for each other.
