1 Card Hunters
In 2022, the world went through a monumental change, the sky cracked and a heavenly pressure descended on the entire world. Every being, whether human, animal, insect, or plant were bathed in the heavenly pressure, and felt something break in them.
Within 10 seconds the crack disappeared but its consequences were enormous.
Humans have come to call this The Limit Break Phenomenon. With the humans being one of the species who achieved Limit Break because of the heavenly pressure, their minds underwent some changes, enabling them to feel the Unique Energy in the surroundings called Maui.
Unfortunately, The Maui in the surrounding could be felt but could not be absorbed by the humans no matter how much they tried. On the other hand, the Animals, Insects and Plants seem to have an innate talent for absorbing Maui causing them to rapidly grow larger, stronger and even mutate into an entirely different race. The results of absorbing Maui were immense and it also increased their intelligence and they no longer wanted to be ruled by Humans.
The pets revolted, zoos become death zones where animals broke free from their cages and slaughtered the humans. The humans who were desperate tried to retaliate, but the Maui in the surroundings seemed to have changed the properties of gunpowder and the molecular structure itself, resulting in the guns, missiles, nuclear weapons, and all other forms of technology ceasing to function. The countless researches done on understanding the world were reduced to trash within seconds.
The humans were forced to flee at the sight of the ferocious animals and with no way to retaliate, it resulted in the death of millions of innocent citizens.
Just when all hope seemed lost, the emergence of a single entity brought salvation upon humanity.
Beast Card.
After barely managing to kill a few weak Mutated Beasts with the help of Cold Weapons, humanity received its first blessing.
The corpse of one of the beasts which were killed glowed a White light and the light left the corpse and formed into a White Card floating above the corpse.
When a curious human touched the White Card it melted in his hand and merged with the human. This kind of situation happened all around the world, and the humans who merged with the Cards started showing superhuman strength and mystical abilities. They killed the weaker beasts and absorbed more Cards and slowly started resisting the stronger beasts.
The Ferocious Beasts and Humans have been in a struggle for hegemony for 10 years now and the Humans have somewhat managed to control the rampant beasts and secured safe zones all around the world.
In these 10 years, a new kind of technology was developed, called the Maui Technology. It was more convenient and simple to use.
First, communication all around the world was brought back live with the help of Maui Technology. With further study, Maui was used as a new form of Energy all around the world. Leading to Inventions like Maui-powered Cars and Trains. The sky and the sea were still unconquered, forcing the humans to stay on the ground in order to protect themselves.
With the emergence of more of these mysterious cards, a new profession became popular among the masses.
Card Hunters
It was a profession that involved killing beasts and collections of Beast Cards. Although a dangerous profession, it brought many people fame and money.
The entire world has united, the people in power created the Earth Federation which was the sole ruling organization in the world. It has members from all over the World and encouraged the people to become Card Hunters and opened various Academy's in order to nurture the young.
This was an era of Card Hunters and the one with power had more rights in society, it was the dream of every youth to become a Card Hunter and fight the Ferocious Beasts.

The third-year Elite Class of the Harmony Academy was bustling with activity today, the youthful faces of the students were filled with excitement and a bit of nervousness,
It couldn't be helped they had just received news that the Earth Federation has made major changes in the Card Hunter Entrance Examination (CHEE) this year, as high school third-year students, everyone hoped to crack the CHEE and get into a Prestigious College. Only by entering a Prestigious College will they have a chance at becoming a famous Card Hunter.
While the class was fervently discussing what kind of changes the Earth Federation might have brought to the CHEE, sitting on the last bench one particular youth was wearing a leisurely expression, he had his hands behind his head and an ever-present confident smirk on his face. Combined with his handsome face and athletic body he looked like a perfect young master from those web novels.
He seemed to not care much about the changes in the CHEE, which was not much of a surprise to the rest of the students, his results in the Mock test were so high that he was almost guaranteed to get into a Top College,
Nobody had ever gotten into a Top College from their Bearmount City, as a Tier-3 City although it was not the worst, it couldn't compare to the Tier-1 and Tier 2 Cities and most of the students in the Top Colleges were from Tier- 1 or Tier-2 cities. As for Tier-4 and Tier-5 Cities, it was next to impossible for students to get into a Top College from these cities.
There was a clear divide in the Colleges, with the best college being the Ace, below it there were a few Top colleges, followed by Prestigious colleges and then at the bottom were the ordinary colleges,
Ace was the best Institute for becoming a Card Hunter, but the conditions to enter it was special and only 200 students were able to enter the Ace every year. The conditions for getting admission are so strict that even Tier-1 and Tier-2 City students find it difficult to enter the Ace.
