1 The story begins.

User: Sacaroth

Source: AutoJournal

I wake up in a forest, Memories flooding. I was reincarnated. Welp, time to get moving, don't wanna die again.

Its a bit cold, but makes sense, I'm only wearing a pair of black shorts.

I make a pile of rocks, lets see if its here if I ever return. I start to jog, looking for a river.

After two hours, with breaks, I found a nice, straight, 4 foot stick. I wacked it against a tree, pretty sturdy, not flexible. I'm using it as a walking stick.

Found a sharp rock, but there's no vines, so I'm going to sharpen the bottom of the stick while I look for a river.

1. [Get Crafty] Completed, Reward, Cargo Pants and a Sweater.

Oh, a system. I open the menu, but the only side menus I see are, Log, Journal, and settings. I entered the settings, and make the menus blue with white borders and black words.

I continue walking, but It's about five, so I start making a fire.

2. [FIRE!] Completed. Reward, Flint and Steel, Water Flask.

Two hours later, got the fire. No need for the flask yet, so I strap it on. I start tying leaves together to try to make a blanket.

I fall asleep after finishing, wrapping it around me.

Morning.

Just found out about the AutoJournal, but I'll leave it, Someone might read this. Another User, possibly.

I put out the fire, and continue looking for a river.

Found a river, its been a good three hours. Thankfully, the Water Flask was made out of metal, so I filled it up and boiled it. While I was waiting, I caught a fish, so I cooked and ate it. Threw the rest in the woods, Its about 9 in the morning.

Heading downstream, lets see where I end up.

Its about 2 in the afternoon, Got out of the forest. I can see a town about ten miles away, lets see if I can get there by sundown.

Nope. They brought a drawbridge up, so I'll wait until morning. It's about five, so I climb a nearby hill and sleep in a tree.

Morning again.

Third day, lets see what happens.

Got inside after "explaining" I lost my memories, and woke up in the forest. It worked, which actually surprised me.

According to the guard, The forest had a whole bunch of monsters about 20 miles in. I got lucky.

Personally, I would've tried to kill one, but I'm not a physically fit person.

I look around the town, seeing if I could get a job. I personally don't mind sleeping in the tree again if I have to.

Lucked out everything's in english.

At about noon, I've found a place to work, and luckily, It's an Inn. I get to use a cottage out back.

The job is to serve the food and clean up. Wash dishes if I want a bonus 3 coppers. Total of 53 coppers a day, basically. That's removing food and drink, too. Silver's 100 copper, Gold yada yada.

A good deal, and I get mornings off. A kid, John, does the morning shift. I think he's the owners kid.

I'm gonna use the early morning to train, and clean myself before I start.

....

3. [Practice] Completed. Unlocks Status.

Well, It's been about a month, I've purchased equipment, practiced with all of them by going to lessons, I've finished training for today, and I unlocked the stats menu. Today. Just now.

Huh. My Charisma is higher then I thought. Wait, I forgot to look in my reflection at the river. Well, I can tell I have purple hair. White. Pale, really. About 5,9 . Well, I'll just need to find a mirror.

Anyway, I balance the points between wisdom and agility to make 15 in each.

I've earned a good amount, along with my leather and weapons. Which I have a short sword, two daggers, and a fire axe. Hand held, of course. My flint and steel, and the flask, I'm good to go.

Also, it seems we get stronger faster here, but I'm not sure, I barely worked out on earth.

Well, I let my boss know I was leaving, and walked out after saying good bye to the regulars.

I headed toward the Adventures Guild, wondering how I could use my mana.

I tried to do the whole look inside thing, but then I got a locked prompt. Maybe it was right, or not.

We'll see.

Once I get there, I hear a fight going on behind the building, so I run around back to see what's happening.

Oh, a duel. But Mages. I can tell because, well, magic.

Ones using fire, the other earth.

For some reason, this is when I find out I can put Health, Stamina, and Mana Bars on my arms.

And I have two quick slots, that I can put weapons in. I put my sword in one, axe in the other. Those slots are at my legs.

Oh, I almost missed the Earth Mage drop a rock on the Fire Mage's head. The Earth Mage won, and the Fire Mage is out cold. Me and someone else, guessing Fire's teammate, carry Fire inside.

The Fire Mage is a Elven Dude. The teammate is a female Lizard-kin.

Gonna say, I'm liking the Beastkins already.

I registered, and they asked me to put a bit of mana into a device, and they showed me how.

4. [ Mana] Unlocks mana.

[Pick your Affinities!]

[ High: , Good: , and Wait, you have this?: ]

I laugh a little, and browse through. So there are restrictions. At most an Intermediate for high, Good lets me use advanced, You know, Light tier. And I can have something on the tier of spatial magic for the last one.

----

Affinities

High: Air Magic

Manipulate Air!

Good: Metal Magic

Are you gonna make a gun?

W.Y.H.T: Gravity Magic

Ingore Natural Laws.

----

Lets see what I'll do. Also, I probably might try for something like a gun. Using suction and pressure.

"Oh, you have three affinities, that's good. Do you mind telling a girl what they are." The receptionist asks.

"Sorry miss, but I'm not gonna give up a trump card."

"Fine" She says, faking a pout.

She hands me a bronze badge. " This is your ticket into major cities and ports. It's also your identification, so be careful."

"See ya."

I look around for the Fire Mage, and walk over. He's still unconscious.

"Hey, is it fine if I do a few jobs with you two?" I ask the Lizard-Kin.

"What's your preferred weapon, name, and highest affinity?" She responds.

"Currently, my favorite weapon is my short sword, Sacaroth is my name, and my highest affinity is Air. Still need to mess with my mana before I have spells." I say, reluctant on the last bit.

"Elizabeth. I'm a Archer, and I'll keep my affinity private." She replies, firmly.

"His name is Max, and as you can tell, Fire Mage."

"Thanks for the intro. Who's the party leader?"

"Hunter named Hunter. We make fun of it every now and then."

"Ah. Well, you know the tree up on the hill in front of the," I think for a second, " East Gate?"

"Yes to both."

"Well, let me know if we get a job. I'll be playing with my mana up there."

"Okay. I'll let Hunter know about you."

"Will he be fine with it?"

"Well, can you take orders in the middle of a fight?"

"If I can hear them, sure."

"Then yes. You'll be getting half-pay first mission, to see if you're good enough."

I nod, jog outside, grab a refill of water from a well, and grab a steak on my way out. On my way up to the tree, I see a couple goblins, so I decided to try something.

I close my eyes.

I try move my mana, and it moves, really easily. I guess forming it to your will is the hard part. I discover I have three different places to move my mana from. One's green, another gray, and the last is purple.

I move the green one outside of my body, and form a arrow out of the gray one. I mean, its pretty obvious what's what.

I form catches on the arrow, from behind, for the air mana to push against. I make them aerodynamic, by forming them at a angle.

I then instruct the air mana to pull air that goes by the catches into the back side, to push forward. I place that mana in the arrow, as the fuel. I then grab the arrow I made, and throw it like a dart at one of the goblins heads.

5. [Spells!] Completed. Reward: 5 Quick Spell slots. Select with a thought and aim.

6. [Fusion Spell] Completed. Reward: Gacha and Store.

[Error. As you don't have the mission function, the Reward from Log 6 will be stalled.]

[Name your spell.]

Makes sense. I understand.

Now then. I wish to edit the spell.

[Understood. Name Spells to add them to the list. Wait, heres this, forgot to update status.]

+ Mana Manipulation Lv1

+ Mana Fusion Lv1

Thanks.

I whip out my short sword and chop off the oncoming goblin's head, as I was distracted for a second.

Hey, does anyone else have you?

[Affirmative. They just don't have the achievement bit, or the store and gacha. Or the weapon slots. You exclusive. You now have one month until you can ask 3 more questions.]

Understood.

I loot the bodies, earning myself a nice 2 silver. I drag the bodies down to the drawbridge, letting the guards know.

I run back up to the tree, and instead of the fusion, I work on something else.

Compressing Air into a plate, I hold it in place, losing 10 mana a second. I quickly hop on, and after a couple seconds, it breaks. I didn't run out. I guess its a concentration thing.

I name the spell Air Step, and put it in a quick slot.

While I have the extra mana, I decide to try to weigh myself down using the gravity mana.

I discover that its a one use for an hour of an effect, for ten mana, with 50 pounds extra force, so I cast it three times length wise, not daring combine it. I do about 25 of the basic exercises, and 20 pushups in total. It's hard. That's good.

+1 to Str,Con,Agi

I'm already imagining me using 500 pounds of force to practice. I name the spell Dumbell.

Dumbell

----

Seeing as how I have about 6 more hours of daylight, I decide to do something special.

I make a compressed ball of metal, about the size of a baseball, use gravity mana to make it weigh next to nothing so it glides around, and instruct the gravity mana to use 40 points of mana for a six second duration.

Basically 4×50×10 = a Ton of weight instantly. This costs 60 Mana, But its a six second thing.

Four Casts, 50 lbs per cast for an hour, and bringing it down to the six second mark for 500 lbs, for one cast.

I add another 5 points to steer the ball using wind magic, for a grand 65 points of mana.

The downside is that It takes half my mana, only works for 6 seconds, and if I fail, I have to try again. It's a trump card. For instance, I throw it at my enemy, it's going to hurt if I activate it right before contact.

+ Spell Anvil

After saving it as Anvil, I bring it down to 500 lbs for 24 minutes of constant weight. Dumbell Throw. It's perfect. Of course, after shaping the metal into the shape of a handheld one.

+ Dumbell Throw

Sucks they both have the same cost, but their almost the same. I can even use it myself later on.

Now that I'm doing the math again, It should've been six minutes with the ton. Well, balancing is a thing, no need to get worked up.

Oh, Elizabeth is coming. I dispel everything and walk down to them.

Four people, two of which I don't recognize. One has a bow, so that's probably Hunter. The other is a female wearing a priestess outfit, so a healer or along the lines of one.

"Good Evening, I am Sacaroth."

"Hunter." Said the male

"I'm Claire." Said the Priestess

"Has Elizabeth explained what my Class is, although I don't have it yet?"

"Well, she said melee weapons and potentially magic?" Max says.

"Well, yes. Must be weird, I met you before you met me." I continue.

"Somewhat. Anyway, Liz, you recruited him, you give him the details."

All but Elizabeth left, heading towards the town.

"Well, the mission is tomorrow, and we're guarding a caravan west to Jinu. A big city." She explains. She then starts to head down the hill, but trips.

"Air Step." I cast in front of her, to keep her from falling further.

"Thanks." She blushes, and runs off. Glad I had that half second of mana left.

Well, time to practice with my weapons.
