My new life.

I am now 3 years old.

Okay, so the idea of being a noble didn't appear in my head when I made a schedule. Now, I have one, that I'm following. Just not mine. They understand me waking up early, but not exercising and playing so little. I do play occasionally, and when they bring a boy named Leo over here.

Gotta have at least a friend here. They also said they can't wait for me to meet a Girl named Jade. Maybe another noble? I think Leo is a noble as well. I dunno.

5 years old. Parents, Sophia Raven and Michael Raven, have allowed me to have a magic instructor. They only know about the fire affinity, and how my others are locked for a very long time. The second half is kinda true, but still not really. They could probably buy me a Tech. Just don't want that to be known, even if I don't know about it.

After 1 month with the teacher, I learned the three fire spells, Flame Cloak, Fireball, And Furnace.

First Two are obvious, and furnace basically turns the area I cast it in into a oven. I can cook, but not well. Very Rare that I cooked a good steak. Yes, I had to.

Depending on the metal I use it on, I can also smelt, so...

Its weak though, can only smelt iron after a good hour of it. Need to use it more to get it stronger.

Mana usage is also another problem. I'm too young and underdeveloped in my core to be able to cast some bigger spells, and I'm actually surprised I managed to have JUST enough mana to cast one of the spells for even a second.

My mana Cap is at 35 right now. Flame Cloak uses a estimated 25 points to cast, and another ten for ten seconds.

Fireball I just have to put more Mana into to keep it stable, until I get good at casting the spell. It's base cost is 10.

Furnace uses 30 points for 10 minutes. The heat gets better the better you can master it.

I say master the spell, or get good at casting, but its more of how powerful your mana is, and it just gets better as you use it. May not be a big difference, but definitely noticeable over time.

Mom and Dad are gonna try to buy me Mana Crystals, so...

Anyway, I asked my parents if I could get a combat instructor, so that I could defend myself with a good variety of weapons.

Namely: Knives, Shortswords, Spears, Halberds, and Bows.

It's going to take a bit before they will, but they say I can start that when I'm 10.

I'm guessing that's so I get better with magic, but that's the point anyway.

2 years of training later...

I've learned 4 more spells. And my mana cap is now at 200. I'd say that's good for a 7 year old. Why is the spell count the age? Just realized that.

Anyway.

Flame Jet: 10 Mana per second to create 90 lbs of propulsion. Can only be used through means of the body. It's a good one because I currently weigh about 80-85 lbs. I'll out grow it, but multiple castings is a thing.

Flame Bomb: 30 Mana, creates a slow floating projectile orb, that can be moved through concentrating. Upon Physical contact, explodes. Equal to the force of a grenade on Earth. Just no shrapnel, just a bit of flame.

Physical Enhancement, Fire: Imbue 10 points of mana to be 10% faster for 30 minutes. Brings Skin Resistance down by 2.5% for one cast.

Flame Vision: Allows you to see in infrared, but can't back out of it until the spell ends. Set cost: 1 mana for 10 seconds.

Some good spells to start with. Betting there's going to be a lot of people stronger than me, but these will do.

It is almost my 8th Birthday, and they have a present for me. They said one major thing, that the King's dungeon breaking army had found a treasure room, with enough to give his Generals good Items, and the 15 Noble Heirs, 1 Mana Core.

So, Mana Cores are different from Crystals. Crystals are the normal drop from a monster. They allow a Mage to use the mana inside, or use it to, with a 25% chance, increase their capacity by 5 points. The higher the level, another 5 is added.

Mana Cores are, well, cores. They still take in Mana, and can be manipulated by Mages to be used to do a lot of things, like enchantments, golems, and other such things. But if someone without the element its corresponding to, eats it, it will give it to them. However, One person can only have 4 elements at once.

That's where the combining comes in with me.

However, if someone eats, say, 5 cores of that type, and they already have it, it will reduce Mana Costs of that Element by 50%. It cuts the cost in half each time. However, it'll require 25 to do it again, then 50. 100. 200. 500. And, they're already a Super Rare drop. At least 500 gold for one. Which is literately a million silver, which the most of people other than Royals or Nobles, barely get to see one. 1 in 10 common people get to see even 5 silver coins in one spot.

And, we're the poorest kingdom. One of these cores could go for 1 gold anywhere else.

Our king just doesn't have control over the money. It's the merchants. They go to those other countries, buy a whole lot, and come back and sell them all to the highest bidder.

Anyway, it's really in depth, and I'd rather not get carried away. Basically, we reported to the king what element we use, we get one we don't have.

They said they were excited for mine. I wonder what it is.

END OF CHAPTER.
