3 Chapter 3

The next few days went by fast. The amount of monsters is crazy. Today is Day 9, and we have 9 Level 9 Goblins, and Three of the new monster, Giant Horned Rabbits, and they're Level 9 as well. Luckily, We've all been training, the pups with lower level stuff.

---------

I realize I said Dexterity, when I got the stat point. If you're wondering how, It's a journal in the system. Found out about it on the seventh day, and I've been writing as we go. Like I'm narrating.

Anyway, Winter has plus 6 to all Stats, it takes a bit to write one out. I can't copy any menus. Tray's at level Nine, with similar stats to me. The pups are all Level Five. They have about 18-26 stats averages. I haven't gotten to naming them yet.

When I went to fight today, with the Arachnid Armor, as I'm calling it, there was a glowing light on the other side, and I can see a GIANT door on the other side of this place.

[System Operater here, we've given you permission to get out. This was a training ground for some heroes, but they haven't been born this reincarnation. So, we created this body and pulled a already reincarnated soul to it. Sure. it was weak, but you get to have freedom. The heroes were born, so you can leave.]

Oh. Well, thanks, I was confused about the notes.

[Yeah, that was left by one of the last ones, an oracle. The one about the crystals were us. Insert your mana into the Armor in the room, as a gift. It was the God Sacaroth's Present.]

Oh, a gift from myself. Makes sense.

I go inside the room, as the monsters that were outside, are just walking around, not caring about me.

I insert the Tissue Magic, into the Armor. Immediately, it start writhing, and morphs into the Arachnid Armor, and the tendrils are folded into the back and chest, making a spider design. A scorpion tail forms out the back, and the tip is like a scythe. Six eyeholes form, the bottom two of them at my nose.

It splits open from the middle, and it's actually padded with something like memory foam, but it's red. I step inside, and it closes.

(Ego Armor Equipped. Playing message by creator. "Hey man, it seems like our soul split for a split second, but time dilation screwed with it all, so I made this. Should morph into any Armor you create with Body Magic, along with enhancing it. It's a bio-alloy I made, in the 2000 years I was given. Should be as hard as your own bone. It'll get stronger according to your strength. To make it "Balanced". But our meaning of balance seems to be broken. I'm pretty sure that you won't have my memories from after the soul split. But this should be the last life. Don't go wasting it. Have some fun. Also, clear a normal dungeon by yourself, it should unlock something in the Armor. Bye!)

(Message Ended.)

Damn. This is a nice gift.

I let the Pack know we're going somewhere. I form a satchel, put all of the jewelry I tried to make in it, as well as the enchanted stuff a few goblins dropped. They do things like save elemental spells. None are the ones I have, but there's a Spacial Ring one dropped, it had some gold, food, and clothes that were not clean enough to even be washed. Took those out, and put the food I had in there, along with weapons I crafted with metal I got from the goblins.

Once we're ready to go, I move the tendrils, and lift myself up. Then we start running.

+40 EXP. 15%

" What did I kill?" I say, and turn around.

Oh, a bear was just out of my sight, and I stepped on its throat with a clawed tendril. That's a bad way to go. We continue running. We reached it at the end of the day.

"Hope I never have to come back. You guys have anything to say?" I ask, turning towards the pack.

'I can say the same, Master.' Winter says.

'I'm a little hungry' One of the pups.

'Play!' The rest of them.

'Maybe we should just get out, master.' Tray pipes up.

I laugh a little, and then the door opens as I walk up to it. I felt like a king in that moment. We start running again. Then we enter some sort of reception area, with a couple of people sitting at a desk.

"Oh, you're out. That was fast. Here's a map to the nearest town. We'll send for you when the heroes are done in here. It's going to be at least 20 years. Get strong in that time, you're going to be training them before and after. If you don't get strong enough, we'll have someone else come here. You'll be rewarded anyway."

"What Level Should I be?"

"Try for 60 or higher. Or kill a actual Dragon or tame one."

"Understood. Anything else?"

"Hmmm. Say hi to my Daughter, she owns the inn at the town. She'll understand who you are. The systems side project has been going on for a few years. You're the first successful one."

She hands me a map, with the quickest route there marked.

"K."

"Also, I need to give your pets tags, so they can come into a city."

"K. Winter, Tray, Pups, come over here."

The process was simple. Had to name the pups anyway. She put them on with collars.

There were 3 Boys, two Girls. Clyde, Roy, Cooper, Cristina, and Winry.

It was easy to come up with their names, and they liked them.

After that, she handed me a tag that marked me as their owner.

And so, that process was over. She pointed at a door, and it opened, showing a forest.

"Remember to say hi for me." She says, and shoos us away.

I nod, and we start running. I run with my legs, and not the tendrils.

We end up killing some weaker Level 5 goblins along the way.

It takes us about three hours to get there. It's a nice town. The guards greet us, charge us a copper, which luckily I had plenty of. I have about ten gold, 58 silver, and 87 copper now.

We head to the inn, which has a bar fight going on. We sit to the side, I order 2 silver worth of food, which made the waiter stare jealously at me. It's about two boars, which I'm glad I have a few in the Spacial Ring. Could sell well.

A unconscious guy flies out of the brawl, right at me, to which I jump up and catch him. He almost made me spill my mug of apple juice. I sit him up against the wall, and I watch the fight. I then notice a sign stating this was a competition, for a months rent paid for, and it happens once a month. I get up, and join the fight of about 10, now 11.

I form a bone stick, and knock two unconscious in one swing. I throw two more out the door, and uppercut one, sending him 5 feet upward. Geez, isn't Level 10 weak?

Wait, Battle Mode didn't activate. Does it mean they aren't a threat? Oh.

The rest notice how fast I took care of the others, and run back to their seats.

"Hey, ma'am?" I get the owners attention, because she's watching from the bar.

"Yeah, Kid?" she asks.

"How long do I need to stay here to win?"

"About two more hours. Need something to eat?"

"No, I'm good, your mom says hi." I replied, and pull up a chair to the middle of the room. They moved the tables ahead of time, apparently.

"Oh, ok. If you want, I can give you free rent anyway."

"Nah, I should earn it. If not, I'll pay."

"Very well. A few stronger guys will be here in a few minutes, to join the competition. Shouldn't be hard though, I know you weren't supposed to be in there long."

"Oh, I was supposed to be there for that shortly?"

"Let me guess, 10 to 13 day's?"

"Yep."

"Then yes. The stronger ones are about level five, so..."

"Oh. I was able to get stronger if I stayed, huh?"

"Yep. One level usually takes two years. Of course, that's normal classes. You have two combat ones, right?"

"Yeah. Not brute Strength ones though. I'm a hunter. I'll keep the other quiet." I say, as I make a little bit of bone on my face.

"Oh? That's handy. Good choice."

When the new guys appear, one rushed me, to which I simply through him over my head, grabbing them by the arm. There's 3 more, I knocked the one guy out somehow.

Two more jump at me, and I simply bang their heads together. The last guy takes out a knife. I make a fire ball, and he backs off, running out the door.

"So that's the basic one you chose..." She commented, nodding.

"Metal as well. Haven't had as much practice with that."

"Oh. Hah, you got ones you had before. Betting you have questions?"

"Well, someone, probably your mom, told you what was happening. Maybe a tip on how to use metal magic properly?"

"Yes, my mom told me. Second, gonna need a Metal Mage to tell you."

"Ok. Well, does this mean I have the room?"

"Yep. Free Food as well. As do your pets."

"Thanks. Can you show me to my room?"

"No. Last one down the hall. Need any service? Got some nice girls." She winks.

"No thank you. I wish to stay "Pure" for now." I say, motioning at the pack. Everyone stares at the 2, 4 foot high wolves follow me, and the 7 Pups as well.

Eventually, while I was getting ready for bed, the guy I caught came and knocked.

"The owner said you caught me? I know I went unconscious, but did those pricks throw me?" He asks, angrily

He has red hair, a magnificent beard, and about 6 foot. Red eyes, almost bulky.

"Yeah, I caught you. If I didn't, you'd spill my drink."

"Oh. Do you mind if I share the room? I know it has two beds, and I noticed you don't have a companion other then the wolves."

"It's fine. Don't try to kill me, I won't you. Want to pet Winter?" I ask joking as I let him in. He was the first to lose the fight, so he's probably not strong.

"Thanks. Which ones Winter?" He asks, looking at the Pups.

I point in order "Winter, Tray, Clyde, Roy, Cooper, Cristina, and Winry."

He looks somewhat disappointed she wasn't a pup.

Winter nudges his hand. He looks a little scared, but calms down when he's petting her.

Turns out he's a Lumber Jack, and he thought he'd try to win the competition today. His wife kicked him out last week for a noble.

He looks shocked I'm Level Ten, and even more when he finds out I'm a ranged class.

"How good are you with a bow?" He asks.

"Eh, apple on a head from maybe... 50 Meters?"

He whistles. "Snipe?", To which I nod.

"I got another class, but I'd rather stay quiet about that. Anyway, I'm tired, woke up early today. Good Night. And don't try anything, Winter's pretty vigilant. She's the mother of most of the pups, and Tray is trying to make something up to me."

He gulps, and asks what Level THEY are.

"They're Level Ten as well. What's yours?" I ask.

"Three..." He says, disappointed.

"You know what'd make you feel worse right now?"

"What?"

"The Pups are all Level 5."

"Damn. You're right, even if I wanted too, I couldn't even try to hurt any of you."

"Well, I do have other things in my sleeve. However, I'm new in this region, so..."

"Yeah, I can show you around. Well, have a nice dream, ...., I never got your name. Heh heh."

"Sacaroth."

"Hank."

"Have a nice rest, Hank the Lumber Jack"

"You too, Sacaroth the Mysterious Man."

"That makes me sound evil."

We both laugh, and go to sleep.
