8 So it Begins

(Author Note: I shall be writing in the first person, present tense from now on. I'm sorry for any errors, I am writing on mobile.)

Today is the day that I'll get the system. That's my first thought as I wake up. I've been so excited as of late I haven't been planning for what to do next. I get out of bed, get dressed in my formal wear, comb my hair with a comb I requested from Rick,Put on my belt, Get my Sheath on, Put the sword away, Put the Knives in the pouch, And head downstairs.

When I get down there, I toss three silver to Charles,

"I'm not going to make it today, make sure to spend it all in one place." I grin, so does he, and for the first time,

"Thanks Mr. Sacaroth!" He shouts as he goes out the door. Me, being flabbergasted, look over at Rose, and she's shocked as well.

"Well, he's getting more open, So that's good."

She nods, still shocked. I sit down at one of the tables, Looking at today's menu. Cheesy Bacon Bagels? Hell yeah!

"I'll have 3 of the bagels, Thanks Mrs. Helling." Still processing, she replies "Sure, but first, what have you been doing to make Charles so open?" I continue, " I've been helping him carry the wood from the port, and at one point, I helped Rick make a wagon to help him pull it around. I also help him put up the armors, so that might be it."

"Oh, that would make sense, but still, he's never been that loud before..." "Eh, I was quiet too, so I understand. I just got used to people needing to hear me better as I got older. It's nice having a younger boy look up to you. My younger sister's just got annoyed because I didn't like what they did." She brings me the plate, which they had on hand like a Hot and Ready pizza.

"Oh, also, I'll be leaving town today, can I get my change?" " Sure kid. Just make sure to take care of yourself, okay?" "Yes ma'am." I finish eating my food, and head to the back to say by to Tom. As I get closer, I hear a soft banging, along with a small giggle. I open the door, and Lily's giggling , and running around the room, banging some small pans together.

It's Adorable. I have no other words for it. Tom looks like he's almost done with the banging.

"Hey Tom, you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine, just fine." He says, almost like he's going crazy. "Dada!" Lily says, Walking over, Banging the pans together, into his leg.

"Ow, F-," he falls over, and I grin, at the very close save. Appearntly, she's inherited his strength.

" Any way," I help him stand back up, patting Lily's head.

"I'll be leaving town today. How bout next time I'm in town, I swing by and i'll treat you and Rose to some beer? I'll watch the Kids." "Sure, that sounds great. We'll probably be gone all night though." he laughs, and sighs.

"Make sure not to take too long though, we could use that. Or maybe a vacation."

"Yeah, okay. Well, see you guys later. Bye!" I say as I walk out the back door. I started jogging up to the castle, Can't believe this is happening, I think to myself.

I haven't said this yet, but the systems, appearntly, get unlocked by an official. The king, wanted to see what kind of system I get. Also, the only reason I was summoned, was because Wendy, the Princess, summoned us with her own resources.

She was wanting to study us, but that ended up being Ben and Mary. Me, and the one that I haven't met yet, were excused from being recruited by the army, as that's what Wendy thought that Ben and Mary would be better off in there, to level up faster. Me, and the other one, are still supposed to report every 25 levels.

I, was fine with this, but apparently, the other one, was too eager to go fight. There isn't even a Demon King, or anything bad. The only thing that the Army's are doing, is going into the dungeons, claiming resources.

At the end of these Dungeons, the one that clears it ,gets a free Epic Power, Tier 4 Element, or High affinity. And that's a first clear. I don't why They wanted to go risk their life.

Oh, geez I'm thirsty. I got a mile to go until I get to the castle. I look around, and spot a Inn. Bob's Inn. I head in,

"I need a glass of water, " I hand him a silver. " Keep the change, I'm in a rush. Ooh are those Hot Dogs? Get me one of those too, actually." He smiles, and says,

"Waters free. Hot dogs are 5 copper each. How many?"

"Oh, if that's so, can I get two?" " Sure kid. Good luck with your system, by the way." I grab the hot dogs, too focused on those to notice what he said. I'm already outside, Mouth stuffed, when I realize what he said. I look back, and the Inn isn't there anymore. Huh. Well, I got hot dogs. I'm not gonna bother with worrying about that, it's been months since I had a good one. I continue down the road, walking carefully.

I finish stuffing my face. Down the glass, and give it to a homeless person. I am too, but he needs it more. I'll talk to the king about making a shelter. Anyway, I continue running up the road.
