Chapter 18: Rematch

Activating the display skill again, Alex had came to realise that Silas was still conscious. But for whatever reason, he was faking his unconsciousness which impressed Alex greatly.

'Such nice tactics, Silas.' He watched as Silas and Reo were being taken away to the club's infirmary for a treatment.

He tilted his head to look at Damien who had a worried look on his face. He was worried that Silas would expire if he wasn't quickly taken care of, but seeing him being carried away for a treatment, relieved his nerves a little bit.

From what he observed, Silas had lost a lot of stamina which means his health point was also dropping slowly. He needed to regain his stamina back by eating otherwise, he'll run out of stamina which will lead to the decrease in his health points. And once his health point drops… Damien didn't want to imagine the outcome.

Alex could understand Damien's feelings, but from the information he received from the display skill, he knew Damien was okay and could last a couple of hours if he didn't engage in any strenuous task.

"Tsk! Tsk! Damien." Alex whispered his name, and the former turned his head to look at him. "I know it's hard to believe, but Silas… he's still alive. He's only faking it."

Hearing this, Damien didn't want to believe as he thought that Alex was playing a joke on him. But he wondered why he would be joking about something like this. It just didn't seem right, so he opted to listen to what he had to say.

"I have a plan to get us three out of here, I just need you to do a few things, hang on for as long you can, then when I give you a signal, you should know that my plan has come to a success." Alex said.

After the announcement of a rematch has been made, the stage was being cleared as they needed to strap the new set of slaves to the bed. The unconscious slaves have been moved to the infirmary for further treatment and during that time, Gynetah had walked over to the two slaves, approaching Damien first.

"You still won't speak, will you?" She said to Damien before walking closer to inspect his neck. "You have no mark on you, which means you're under no master. She waited and see if Damien would say something but just as he had been doing before now, he was mute and won't say a single thing.

"Well, I guess it's a no, meaning you leave me no choice, if you won't tell me the truth, then I'll just end your life. Both you and that unconscious friend of yours…" Gynetah said before signalling for the guards standing about a couple of metres to strap Damien to the bed. "Will suffer worst fate than you can ever imagine. I will keep on punishing you till you give me the desired answer."

She then walked towards Alex, a little bit cautious not to move closer to him. She remembered how he had kissed her at the restaurant and how the scene afterwards had played out. She wanted to know how he did this, and had hoped she would be able to get an information out of him during the special match of the champions she had initially planned to take place today.

Unfortunately, the special match was suspended till tomorrow, so she decided to interrogate him through words for today. If she was able to get the expected answer from him and from Damien too, then her plan would instantly be set to motion.

'If I could break the marks of all of those slaves one by one, it would only be a matter of time till I free them all. Then once those slaves are no longer under any master, I should be able to build an army to go against the Queen and her minions of mages. Sooner or later, this world will be freed of men slavery.'

A question has been thrown to Alex, demanding why he kissed her and why she had acted abnormal afterwards. However, Alex didn't give her a reasonable answer, or any that answers half her question, not that he planned to do so anyway.

'This lady, she knew Damien was a marked slave, but seeing how he no longer have the mark must have driven her curiosity. If only she knew I was the one who broke the mark of those two.' Alex thought.

"Hey, are you even listening!" Gynetah snapped her fingers, driving Alex out of his thoughts.

"How many times do I have to tell you? I don't know why you acted that way. I might have kissed you, but anything, I didn't do that to you." He replied.

Gynetah was tired and frustrated from asking this slave the same question all over and over again. None of them were giving her a reasonable answer or the reply that she wanted. So she gave a go ahead to the guards who instantly released him from the pole and strapped him to the bed.

"Let's see how this goes." Gynetah said, after whispering to one of the members from team one.
