Dianne suddenly cried.

I was struck dumb when she had that reaction.

I made a lovely lady cry again.

Seeing her cry plucked a cord in my heart. It really is an uneasy feeling to see such a human being get hurt.

Due to her reaction, the mood was ruined and I think it is the best outcome I can ask for.

I hurriedly told her, 'I am really sorry Dianne.'

'No sir. I should be the one asking for forgiveness0. I am the one who keeps on pushing myself into you. I know now that I really don't have a chance with you. Whoever that woman is that you care for, she is really lucky.', she solemnly replied.

Sigh!

Such a pure girl.

'Thank you for understanding Dianne. It is really hard for me as well. You are very likeable woman but I love someone else. But I know you will find someone that will care for you, and during that time, you will just look back at this moment and laugh at it.', I honestly told.

'Un', she nodded in reponse like an obedient child.

So we got dressed and we talked about everything and how to do things forward.

Dianne and I decided to be friends and just think of everything that happened between us to be bygones.

We also agreed that the awkwardness will only be avoided if we acknowledge the fact Dianne likes me.

We also established that everything starting now will be different for us, but we will try to be as professional as ever.

Right after discussing all of those things, we did not have the appetite to eat or drink at my place on our own, so we decided to go to a public beer house and celebrate.

In the office . . .

A lot of things happened.

Dianne became an official Architect.

The Director was on a month leave.

I became the official Team Leader for the expansion of the firm.

And some other stuff.

'Dianne, you will be under a subteam first due to your tenure. I hope that you will perform at your best.', I told to a very neat and beautiful lady sitting in the visitor's chair in my office.

'Thank you for all the help Architect Shaun. I will do my best.

By the way, the temporary director told me something about the expansion and she told me to relay it to you.

The headquarters decided that the official start of the construction of the second branch to be two months from now.

She also said that she sent you an email about the things we will be preparing for the expansion.', Dianne told me like a very efficient secretary.

'Hahaha. It really is hard to imagine having another secretary as capable as you Dianne. But thank you, I'm sure that you will be a sought-after Architect in the near future.', I honestly praised her.

'It is because you taught me well. In addition, I think the director wants me to assist you personally about the expansion. Please check your email and see if it is true. It would be my honor to start learning actual architectural skills from the best.', Dianne added.

Right after the discussion with Dianne, she went back to her own office.

I also checked the email the new director sent me and it was very detailed.

It also included the position Dianne will be taking for this expansion. It shows that Dianne will do extra work as she will be needed as my secretary as well. Nonetheless, it should be okay as she is a great secretary already.

The next day at a resort in the city . . .

About twenty people are with me in the resort called Blue Reef Lagoon.

We cancelled having our team building or familiarization at my or Ellen's province since she is not here and it is quite far.

I decided to have it nearby the city so that we can have extra time to prepare for the construction of the second branch.

Hum hum

'Why do birds suddenly appear, every time you are near. Just like me, they long to be, close to you' -

I was forced to sing by my team mates and as a leader, I have to show social norms and set the mood for a happy gathering.

The team building or familiarization is quite informal as we just enjoy ourselves in food, swimming and beverages.

It was a very enjoyable moment for me. Seeing the people enjoy themselves, it also influenced me and thought that it is not that bad to loosen up every once in a while.

When the night came, we had a short program where we dress up casually and then discuss some of the objectives pertaining to the expansion.

It was a good presentation and right after, we had some booze and foods.

I honestly had a good time with these people. It seems it has been a long time since I had this feeling of freedom or serenity.

I drank to my heart's content, and maybe around midnight, I went to my assigned room to rest.

I slowly climbed my way to the third floor of the resort.

When I got to the correct floor, I felt dizzy. Seems like I drank too much this time.

I hurriedly checked my pocket and got my room key.

Room 301 is the room number that I can see in the key chain.

The feeling of dizziness got more severe so I hurriedly looked for my room.

'This is it!' I said with delight.

Then, I hurriedly tried opening the door and it is a good thing that it is already open without me putting my key in it.

Just when I took two steps inside the room -

Thud!

I passed out.

A very sexy and alluring silhouette can be seen in the glass bathroom walls.

She is currently humming the tune of the song that I sang in the afternoon while having a shower.

She was then jolted to hear a sudden thud on the floor.

Without another thought, she quickly put on her bathrobe and grabbed a random vase nearby.

Yes, she thinks that someone came to do something bad so she plans to wack that person out.

She did not hear any other sound and that made her think that it could be on a different room.

She quickly double checked the room and then -

'What a mess. It looks like this person I adore can't hold his alcohol.

Room 301. Hmm, no wonder why he thinks this is his room. This is 307, what a coincidence. I better help him before something bad happens.'
