Dianne is planning to stay at my place?

And what is that 'I'm okay if something happened' thing she said? Do I look like I go around having sex with women without remorse?

Sigh! I should set her straight and clean this mess up.

I planned to decline her but it looking at her pitiful and genuinely terrified look, I decided to let her stay in my room inside the building and I will just sleep on the couch.

Yes, regular employees are given personal rooms inside the building.

And honestly, I don't have the slightest malice about letting her stay with me. This is a vivid purpose of protecting her from possible harm in the next few days. I should also ask the Director to let Dianne be my assistant again for the time being.

So the night came and as expected, it calmly passed.

Maybe due to what happened, she was fast asleep in my bed still wearing her work clothes on.

Other people might ask why I did not do something to her knowing that she likes me, but my thinking? I am not that maniac of a person. If jumping on her even if she consented is what I did, in essence it will not be far off from being cruel to her. Giving her womanhood to someone that can't love her back? That's just tragic, I better be not that man to her.

Such a world full of playful feelings. Me? I am in a good place now, but I better keep my personal life under wraps for the time being.

Besides, I am also appreciative about the wonderful things in life and just staring at her sleeping peacefully is a bliss on its own. And I am happy to protect such a lovely girl.

I was very tired of the whole situation during the day as well so I decided to rest early. There should be a lot of things to take on tomorrow. I should get a good rest myself.

8AM in the morning of the following day . . .

Chi chi chi

I was awoken by the sound of something being fried coupled with its aroma.

'Good morning Sir, I helped myself with coffee and cooked some bacon and egg for you. I hope you don't mind.', Dianne cutely said.

Covered like a cocoon with my blanket, I said, 'I am still sleepy Dianne, just make yourself at home, I will sleep in the bedroom okay?

I will go to work around 1PM. So you can just go first. Thank you for the food, I will reheat them up later.'

'Okay, thank you Sir. I already brought some of my stuff here which should be good for a few days so I will arrange them around the spare cabinet in your room later. Would that be fine Sir? I am really sorry for this inconvenience', she replied.

'That is fine Dianne. As long as I can help. Hopefully, you will be assigned for an outfield work soon so that you can avoid the director and be an actual working architect. I will try to talk you out with Architect Ellen later as well.', I told.

'Un! I can't thank you enough Sir. And I apologize for my aggressive confession last time Sir. I will not mention it again and just think that I did say that in the first place.', she apologetically added.

'Thank you for understanding Dianne. You are a great person, but I am not the person that you should end up with, there are better people that will love you wholeheartedly. So much for that, take care when you head out. You will be my secretary again for now. Just go to the office and tell all those who ask for you or me to wait till 1PM, I will take care of it.', I said.

1PM in my office . . .

'Sir Good Afternoon. Director Rey asked for you to go to his office right away', Dianne told.

'Okay, I will head there now. Just stay here, he already texted me on what it is about. I will let you know about the finality of the mess yesterday.', I sternly replied.

Knock Knock

'Director Rey, this is Architect Shaun, I will come in!'

Right after pushing the door, I was stunned to see that the Director is not alone.

Right, I am currently being stared at by the very beautiful and stunning Ellen. Why is she so electrifying to look at?

I then composed myself to hear what the Director has to say.

'Architect Shaun. Thank you for being here promptly. Architect Ellen is here to finalize the incident yesterday. You might want to ask why you are needed, and I could only say that Ms. Cross here wants your opinion on the matter. So I will leave you two be for now.', said the Director while going his way out of his office.

I was not able to reply to the Director due to how fast he walked out of the room while talking. Seems like he really is in a bind. Sexual harassment is not a light offense afterall.

'Good Day Team Leader Cross! May I know why the Director told me that I'm part of this whole resolution thing?', I asked Ellen.

'You are really direct as ever. I did not choose wrong,' she commented with a playful smile.

'Huh?', I confusingly asked.

'Hahaha. I was just saying random things. Nevermind that. Well, about this mess with the Director and your assistant, I already made my decision but it would still be depending on your secretary's discretion.

And I heard you had her stay in your place last night. So I bet you know more about this situation so I had you come here to discuss it.

And yes, if Dianne will just have this settled, I already agreed to have her on the outfield as an actual architect and she will in fact be under you for the expansion.', Ellen spoke.

I replied in a slightly ashamed manner, 'I see. That is a very acceptable resolution in my opinion. Dianne also decided to let bygones be bygones. She will really be happy about this decision of yours. I will let her know.

And she just stayed the night ay at my place because she's quite afraid last night. Now that this is decided, I think she will go back to her room after this.'

'Are you sure that you will let her go back? Hahaha. I bet you had a very good night last night. Saving a damsel from distress, such an automatic score', she mockingly replied with a playful grin.

'Team Leader Cross. Please don't say that. You are disrespectful to me in that regard. Nothing happened between me and Dianne. And if there was, you are not in anyway eligible to pry about it.', I snapped at Ellen for the first time.

I really am sensitive to what people say about me without knowing the facts. But I guess I will be given a harder time now that I snapped at someone from the headquarters.

'Hahaha. As expected of you, you really are the best. I was just teasing you. I am sorry. Please do not mind those remarks.', she said after clapping her hands.

'I am sorry as well for snapping at you like that. I am just very sensitive about things that are being falsely said about me. I'm not fond of being played by.', I told.

'So much for that. Another thing that I would like to tell you is I will be leaving the country and head back to the headquarters. And congratulations, you will spearhead this expansion. I already checked that you the best suited candidate and you won't need my assistance for that. The people under me are already informed and they will now be under you. The expansion will start next week so I hope that when I comeback it will be finished to be as grand looking as I hoped you can make it to be.', she said with a very pleasant smile.

I was not able to reply right away. This is too much of a surprise. I will be spearheading the expansion?

'Wow! This is quite a shocking thing for me Team Leader Cross. Does this mean that my salary will be even better?', I asked absent-mindedly.

'Hahaha. Is your brain automatically programmed to ask about the salary right away? Of course, you will be payed more. That was the original plan of the Headquarters and I came here to make sure all is good.

I know you can do it. The team familiarization will still push through tomorrow but I will not be present. And I hope next time, we can really work together for a long time.', she answered.

So the night came and everything felt very good.

I told Dianne that her problem is already solved and she will now be an official Architect of the firm.

I also got to spearhead the expansion and be payed more.

Sigh! I thanked the deities that I am receiving such good news today.

When I went to my room. Dianne was already there and she already prepared some food.

'Good evening Sir. I guess this will be my last night here so I would like to thank you in advance. The director already apologized to me personally and I felt his sincerity, he also mentioned that he'll be out of town for a month as an official leave or time off as a show of his resolve.', Dianne said.

'That is good to know. I am glad that everything turned out to be better. By the way, I will just go back to the office real quick, the Team Leader Cross gave me a congratulatory wine, we better drink it tonight', I replied as I was making my way back to the office.

After 10 mins . . .

Where is Dianne?

She might be outside or somewhere so I decided to leave the wine on the dining table first and change my clothes for now.

Just when I got inside my room, I heard a splashing sound of the shower. Yes, my shower room is also located in the bed room.

Is Dianne taking her bath?

I think it's okay to go in, it's not like I will see her naked.

I hurriedly went to my cabinet that has my clothes which is the opposite of the shower room.

I took off my socks, pants then put on my comfy shorts.

I got a comfy shirt and laid it down the bed.

I quickly took off my working long sleeves and just when I had unbuttoned my shirt I felt a heated gaze from the direction opposite of me-

And like a lightning striking at my wishful thinking, I saw Dianne staring at me with wide eyes.

As for me? It felt like I was in a sauna, my body temperature suddenly went high.

The reason? Dianne is naked!
