Ryo knew that look, he himself had that look far too often, he picked Itachi and left

The bell rang, the villagers are to be hidden inside the Hokage monument, this was a perfect sneak attack, village best fighters are out on front line, while the remaining ones leaping from building to building to reach the gate, that's when he saw her, the infamous Uzumaki kushina for the first time ever, in the future she would become his eternal rival, someone who will bring him out of his pathetic state
Ryo and mikoto share a look, a look of ninja
Mikoto made a shadow clone and carry a 3 year old itachi with her, while the real one rushed towards the main gate of konoha
Ryo started the rush as well but he felt something that is off
'why would they attack so openely when earlier this guy was so sneaky about this'
He thought of some thing as he started, running not towards main gate of konoha but towards the center of the village

A little iruka was fighting, trying to keep alive but he lost, the assassin tried to kill him but a gust of wind came as a shadowless figure sliced his neck, iruka's eyes widened seeing this he did not even see his saviour

Ryo is with Hotari and shouji as all of them are fighting tooth and nail, While Yukimura sensei is trying to diffuse the situation
"Papa", came the voice of little Itachi as he was running smiling and behind him was a tired looking Obito

Ryo, Hotari, shouji even Yukimura sensei was smiling at this
"if you are done practicing, how about the lunch", came the voice of Mikoto who made her way towards Itachi and picked him up", Both Ryo and Mikoto shared a look, a look so kind, so full of love, that until unless they have each other nothing matter anymore

Ryo was on his bed, while Mikoto was lying beside him, her head is on his chest, while they were hugging each other, he was smiling, these are by far the best days for him, and he won't let anyone take it away

Mikoto chuckled as she hugged him tighter, "It's time to wake up"

She put her hand on his cheek and smile sadly, "This is not real, our life is not the truth, and most importantly.....you know it as well"
"No..No", Ryo ran, he ran to his training ground when Yukimura-sensei found him
"Do you remember, the first time when you came to me and told me your dream...you said you wish to survive and die growing old"
"I don't want to anymore, i want to be here, please.."
"This is not real Ryo-kun, you know it", came the shy voice of Hotari

"We are already dead Ryo, you are still alive you cannot be with us", came the voice of shouji
"Nii-sama, please stay alive", came the voice of little Obito as he was grinning
"No...no...please don't... please don't leave me... not again... please don't leave me alone again", His eyes were blurring as the tears were falling from them

He opened his eyes, and everything around him begins to disperse

When he woke up there was no one, he ran out of the hospital, despite the condition he was in
He went to his house, his old training ground.....no one was there!!

He wish for anyone to hug him, to say it's alright, he just wanted someone anyone

'The boy who killed Obito', Ryo's mind whispers treacherously. he cannot forget Obito, the boy whom he raised and cared for, the boy who was his brother and son in all but flesh and blood.
He came forward in order to kill Kakashi, the reason his brother is dead
But he could not..
he created a small barrier over Kakashi body and his face turns towards Ryo and he holds Ryo desperately and cries.
Finally he lets the umbrella go and lets the rain fall upon his face.
Obito, my dear brother, see this you were loved, other than me, someone else loved you... Ryo smiled sadly

"Here", Ryo gave Kakashi a box as his birthday gift
"What's this", asked Kakashi looking at the box
"My dead friend gave it to me, he said it helps"
"Then why are you giving it to me? isn't it something precious to you"
"I am an adult i can take care of myself despite the condition i am in, while you are just a kid, you need it more than i do"
This day Ryo pushed Kakashi into the dark path of pornography [Lol]

The hospitals are overfilled with the wounded and the dead.
There he finds little Itachi staring at a dead man's body, blood staining his small hands.
he bends down and covers Itachi's hands with his own and holds him while he cried.

"I said I want to contract your summoned beast", said Itachi innocently
"Itachi, I am not letting you contract a summoning beast yet, besides my summoning beast is not that great, it just helps in genjutsu"
"Crows are greatest, I want to..."

After sometime trying to convince ryo, itachi finally succeded...
Ryo took out the scroll and Itachi finally signed it with his blood...
"Crows becomes the summon of Itachi, just like him"

Hatake Sakumo did the same, and he was branded as the betrayer

While everyone was trying to thank him, he was still weeping silently in front of the memorial stone
he is still haunted by the memories of Hotari and Shouji.

He and Minato are being called to the Hokage office
"It's time to finish the war, go to the front line and finish it
"YES LORD HOKAGE", came the unified voice of Both of them
