23 Ch. 23 Daddy?

Alabast and Pyrrha eventually go back to their original dorm. They may have tried sleeping in team RWBY's room, but didn't feel like being on their beds that may collapse if they got on them. So they just decided to get some sleep for school the next day in their originals room.

After their group hug they went back and got ready for bed. Pyrrha caught Nora up to speed and Ren was being shaken by her. He was used to it, but that didn't make the experience pleasant.

Pyrrha ended up sleeping as little spoon again. She was happy. Not only does she have a boyfriend. She has teammates. Real friends. And now sisters basically. If you asked her a year ago if it was possible she would have politely laughed and said no way. But after meeting Alabast, her world changed. And it changed for the better. It also helped that she didn't need to be leader, she didn't particularly like leading anyway.

Alabast held the redhead in his arms and felt so...full. Being able to have so many people that love him, and he loves them back. It's just amazing to him. And he's holding one of them in his arms.

He holds her closer to his body. She's kind of muscular but not that much. It's just hidden beneath her soft pale skin. Her red hair smells great too. He's enjoyed whatever shampoo she uses since it's easy on his nose and not super strong. And she's decently tall. Compared to his other girlfriends. She's only 6 inches shorter than him while the others are close to, or more than, a foot shorter.

Pyrrha isn't too embarrassed about being little spoon. It's just where she feels something hard against her bottom that embarrasses her. She knows Alabast can't completely control it. It actually makes her feel kind of good. Mainly in the way that Alabast has that reaction to her. And a few other ways. But she wants to wait to take that step with him.

And so team ANVL falls asleep in pairs.

Alabast was expecting Ayaka to be a pain but it seemed that she would keep her deal. She only sent one wave and then turned back to her team. That made everyone feel better. They didn't exactly like the part where their boyfriend was semi-drugged. And leader/friend in the case of Ren and Nora.

Cardin was starting things again, trying to agitate Alabast as usual. Alabast would just have to beat him and his team this week.

Nothing especially happened until Thursday's combat class. Everyone was doing schoolwork and training. They also made sure to relax to not overwork themselves.

Alabast worked on his light abilities. He was able to make rudimentary objects with his light. It was easier to just solidify a beam of light, or make it hot. He also attempted to move through a beam of light. He went through 5 trees and nearly the 6th. He was as fast, if not faster than Ruby when he traveled like that. But he wouldn't try it again for some time since he couldn't control it at all.

Alabast would rest and then one of his girlfriends would also decide to rest to get some 'alone' time. Whether it was a break during training, or from studying and homework. Alabast enjoyed those short moments. Being able to take his mind off of everything but the person in front of him. It was peaceful.

Then it was Thursday. Cardin and Alabast were able to convince Goodwitch to allow the 1v4. Also, the rest of team ANVL tried to convince her as well. Or maybe she saw the footage of him in the forest. Who can say.

Alabast stood in his usual combat uniform. Sleeves rolled up revealing his forearms, and his side cape to cover his left arm.

Cardin stood with his mace.

Russel Thrush was a guy with a green Mohawk and wielded two daggers with a dust crystal imbedded into the base of the blade.

Dove Bronzewing wore bronze armor that was lighter than Cardin's. His hair was a light brown. He used a short sword that can turn into a rifle.

Lastly was Sky Lark. He was the 'pretty boy' of the group. He had dark blue hair that flows backwards to the base of his neck. Almost like a stereotypical elf hair style. He wears a light gray armor. His weapon is a halberd that has the shaft double as a barrel.

The four are laughing saying this will be easy.

"Not so tough now are you mutt?!" Cardin calls out. The others laugh at it.

Alabast takes back whatever he said about his teammates possibly being redeemable. This week they fully joined in with Cardin.

"Enjoy this while you can" Alabast brings his Nights Fall to his side in his right hand.

Goodwitch explains the rules and talks for a bit.

The students watching are whispering. "Go Alabast!" Ruby cheers. Yang and Blake are holding a banner with his name on it. And Pyrrha and Weiss give him a nod.

Alabast looks back at his opponents. He wants to humiliate them. Badly.

Once Glynda starts the match they try and move, only to realize that their feet are stuck in place. They look down at their feet and see them covered by their own shadow.

They look up to see Alabast with his black aura around his body and weapon. His red eye glows a blood red as well.

"What the hell?!" Sky Lark shouts trying to move his feet.

Alabast dashes towards them and they watch as Nights Fall moves in a motion to take off their heads. But the blade passes just centimeters away from their skin. They feel the wind from the swing hit their necks and they can only watch in shock and despair. They weren't able to react at all.

"That's my win" Alabast says. He jumps back a few feet.

The darkness that held their feet dispersed and they stumbled back. Russel and Dove fall on their butts.

"Oh, is that all? I didn't know you guys were all bark" Alabast smirks at them and rests Nights Fall on his shoulder.

"Cmon. There's four of us. I'll directly attack, Dove and Russel. You two work together and stay agile while attacking together. Sky, try to attack but not get in our way. You'll have to take my place if I get knocked away!" Cardin decides a plan of action and they get into position.

Cardin charges Alabast with his mace and makes short swings with not a lot of build up. He knows that he can't hit him like that. And all he needs is to tap him for his mace to use its dust crystal to cause an explosion.

Alabast sees the mace glow a reddish-orange. He simply dodged the swings while keeping an eye on the two acrobats. They jump and spin in the air for no reason. Sky gets behind Alabast and swings towards his back. Alabast jumps straight up and lets Cardin blast Sky's halberd right out of his hands.

"The hell Cardin?!" Sky complains

"Just go get your weapon!" Cardin looks up at Alabast and see Russel and Dove move with eachother and attack Alabast who blocks with his Nights Fall.

"How can he move such a giant blade faster than Russel can swing two daggers?! That makes no sense!" Cardin doesn't understand how he can block two daggers and a short sword. It's insane.

Cardin's semblance doesn't affect Alabast so that's out.

"Dove! Now!" Cardin waited until the perfect moment to enact their plan.

Dove activated his semblance.

Alabast was blocking their strikes while midair when suddenly his brain got scrambled for a second. It was only a second but it allowed Russel to do a spin kick and nail Alabast in the shoulder. This moved his arm and Dove expertly moved his sword to slash Alabast and then boat him with dust.

Alabast got hit and was knocked back towards the ground. But before he hit the ground he used Nights Fall to vault over Sky larks swing from his top right to lower left. The swing missed Alabast and continued to smash the ground with much more force than it should have.

Alabast analyzes that Russel has a speed semblance weaker than Ruby. Dove has a mind semblance. And Sky, well his was either strength, weight, or something similar.

He lands on the ground on his feet.

"So you guys aren't completely incompetent. Did that take you three weeks to learn?" Alabast watches as they regroup.

"Let's go" Cardin shouts and leads the charge.

Alabast just points Nights Fall at Sky Lark and fires a round of dust from his sword imbued with his darkness.

Sky was not expecting this and tries to deflect the shot with his halberd. But he underestimated it and was blasted back and his aura reached the red.

I'm just one shot Alabast took out Sky. Everyone was surprised at how easily it was done. Alabast barely reacted to the recoil of the shot.

Cardin kept charging. Alabast decided to test a theory. He blocked the mace, but at the handle just above Cardin's grip. There was no blast or explosion from the dust crystal. Alabast redirects the swing and it knocks Cardin off balance. Alabast simply punches Cardin in the chest and dents his armor as he sends Cardin rolling across the stage.

Dove and Russel were scared but kept charging. Alabast swung at them but they both dodged. Dove went under while Russel went over the horizontal swing.

Alabast decided to try and see what they could do. He kept swinging at them and pushing them back. They had to dodge and rarely tried redirecting as the force behind Alabast's quick swings was ridiculous.

They worked together perfectly for a few seconds. Until Alabast went up another notch. His swings faster and heavier than before the two couldn't block them perfectly and were stumbling and frantically avoiding the swings.

"Alright. That's enough of a warm up" Alabast quickly changes the trajectory of his swing while midswing. He connects his great sword on Russel's torso with a heavy hit that send Russel through the air and crashes into Cardin who had just started to run towards him again.

Dove watches his teammate get tossed to the side so easily. Then he turns back to Alabast and gets into his stance. He would try his best until Cardin gets back.

Alabast also gets into a stance and is ready to clash.

"I'll use my secret technique!" Dove shouts.

Alabast gets ready to charge forward thinking about all the ways Dove could attack.

But as soon as Alabast thinks he will attack, Dove just runs back to Cardin's position.

"Ah, tactical retreat" Alabast says with a sigh.

"No! It was tactically regrouping!" Dove shouts back in his defense.

Cardin and Dove wait for Alabast to attack.

Alabast charges forward and swing at Cardin. He blocks it with his mace but is pushed 5 feet by the force of the swing. Dove takes this opening and attacks. It's just unfortunate that Alabast takes out the katana, Hollow Silence, from the great sword blade, Dark Heart. He swings back at Dove who wasn't expecting a sword within a sword and is forced to change his swing to the katana and is able to clash and hold back the katana.

Alabast quickly grabs Hollow Silence and transforms it into its rifle form in his left hand. Since the greatsword blade was aimed at Cardin's abdomen when Cardin stopped sliding on the stage. All Alabast had to do was pull the trigger and Cardin was hit directly and couldn't block it.

Dove was still clashing with the katana. He noticed that Alabast was holding it at an awkward angle and used that to direct the katana away from himself. As he did so he transformed his sword into its rifle mode and jumped back as he fired at Alabast who was focused on Cardin.

But Alabast quickly turned to see the dust rounds moving towards himself and he just made a small wall of darkness to block the shots.

Alabast turns his rifle to shoot Dove who was midair and took the easy shot. Alabast shoots three rounds, each imbued with darkness for an extra kick. Dove switches his rifle back to sword mode and blocked the first shot but couldn't block the following ones. He gets hit and his aura drops to the red as he hits the ground with a thud.

Alabast turns to Cardin who had yellow aura, just bellow half. "Just you and me now, Birdy"

"Shut up you dog!" Cardin shouts and attacks Alabast again. He tries one handed swings and to punch out with his empty hand when he can. But Alabast just redirected his punch with his tail which infuriates Cardin.

Alabast then just tosses Dark heart into the air as it transforms back into the great sword blade. With his now free hand, Alabast makes a whip out of darkness and wraps it around Cardin's ankle and pulls his leg out from underneath the manchild. He holds Hollow Silence into the air while he looks down at Cardin.

"Good night" As Alabast said this the greatsword blade drops onto Hollow silence perfectly. The weapons click into place and reform Nights Fall as Alabast swings it down onto Cardin's torso breaking his aura and knocking the wind out of Cardin. The blow knocks him unconscious as his teammates are on the ground still, barely holding themselves up in a sitting position.

Alabast puts Nights Fall on his back and turns towards the students and Glynda.

"Alabast Noir is the winner. Make your way back to your seat mr. Noir. And can a team help team CRDL to the nurses office" 4 random students help move the guys that were beaten. Nobody wanted to and the ones that did were not happy to have to help the bullies.

Team RWBY and ANVL were cheering. Well, except for Ren. And it was mostly Ruby, Nora and Yang being the loudest. Blake, Weiss, and Pyrrha were more tame in their cheering.

Alabast changed into his school uniform and sat between Ruby and Pyrrha. Ruby talked so fast that Alabast could barely keep up but he let her get it out of her system.

They talked for a few minutes until Goodwitch started class again and they had to quiet down.

The class wasn't very special afterwards. And so they waited until class ended. Once it ended they went and trained together.

Nothing really happened until lunch on Friday.

Team RWBY and team ANVL were eating at their table while Nora was telling a story. Ren was having to correct her.

She said that her and Ren were surrounded by 'Ursi' meaning Ursa in the plural form. And that it was the middle of the night. Ren corrected her that they were Beowolves. And that it was day.

"Dozens of them!" She shouts dramatically as she stands up. Yang was listening intently while Blake was reading her book. Weiss was messing with her nails and Ruby was casually listening while looking at Alabast. Pyrrha was looking up at the now standing Nora and Alabast was just trying to eat.

"But they were no match. And in the end Ren and I took them down~! Then we made a buttload of lien selling Ursa skin rugs!" Nora sits down with her arms crossed across her chest and a pleased expression on her face.

Ren sighs. "She's been having this reoccurring dream for nearly a month now" he says flatly. Poor guy probably hears her story every morning for that month.

"You ok Alabast?" Pyrrha asks.

"Huh?" Alabast puts his fork down and turns to Pyrrha. "Yeah. I'm fine. Why?"

"It's just that….you seem a little…not ok?" Ruby says and moves her hands with her words.

"Nope. All good" Alabast talks a little louder than he meant to and everyone looks at him.

He then hears team CRDL at a table a few away from their and everyone looks over to see them laughing at and making fun of a rabbit eared Faunus girl. "Just…peachy"

Alabast is done with Cardin and his goons.

"Alabast. Cardin has been trying to get under your skin since the first day of school" Pyrrha says worrying about him.

"I'm aware of that" He says frustrated.

"He's. A. Bully" Ruby says as she narrows her eyes and clenches her fists at Cardin.

"Im also aware of that" Alabast says as he leans forward to rest his face on his open palm while his elbow is on the table.

"Why don't you retaliate?" Yang asks. She always wondered why Alabast just puts up with it. She knows it bugs Alabast more than it does her. And it makes her wanna break Cardin's legs.

"You know we're her for you Alabast" Pyrrha puts her hand on his shoulder.

Nora jumps up again and says. "Ooh! We'll break his legs!"

Yang jumps up "I was just thinking that!"

Nora and Yang high-five across the table.

That's when they hear a Yelp from the rabbit Faunus. They look over and see Cardin sitting down holding onto her rabbit ear. CRDL is laughing at her and she's trying to get them to stop. "Oww! That hurts!"

Cardin yanks her ear. "Please stop" she asks weakly.

"I told you it was real" Cardin says to Sky. "What a freak!" Sky responds.

Alabast slams the table and stands up.

Cardin looks over at Alabast. "What? Is the puppy gonna save the bunny?" And they start laughing again.

The rabbit Faunus has a sad expression and just toughs it out. She's standing holding her food tray and is trying to leave but is being forced to bend over a little due to Cardin's grip on the top of her ear.

Alabast slowly walks over to Cardin. He stands in front of Cardin. "Let her go. I'm not going to ask again" He says dangerously.

"Oh~ I'm so scared. What are you going to do? Huh?" He stands up and holds the ear in his hand as high as he can. "You've never had the balls to stand up to me before! Do you have a thing for this 'freak'?" He says mimicking Sky's term for Faunus.

Alabast just grabs Cardin by his ear and pull it up. He lifts Cardin off his feet by his ear as Cardin shouts in pain. He can barely touch the ground on his toes.

Cardin let's go of the rabbit Faunus and grabs Alabast's forearm to try and stop the pain.

"Not so funny when it happens to you, huh? And do you see the top of your ego from up there? Oh, I think I found where it should be" Alabast, still holding Cardin his ear, slams him down into the table and through it. He presses his face into the cold tile floors of the cafeteria. "You aren't strong enough to be acting all high and mighty when you aren't even strong enough to lick my boots" He holds his head to the ground and looks up at the rest of his team.

"You guys can join him" He says to them. They don't move and just stare at him. They were afraid. They didn't expect Alabast to retaliate, he hasn't before.

"I wasn't asking…..get down on the floor. Now!" He shouts. He uses darkness to come from the floor and grab their collars and drag them to the ground. They had no way of resisting.

"Now that you guys are where you're supposed to be". Alabast stands up and Cardin tries to stand but Alabast uses darkness to drag his face back to the ground where he kisses it. "I don't want to see or even hear about you guys messing with anyone else. You are huntsmen in training. Not children. If you keep acting like this I'll grab my belt and make you call me daddy. Do you understand!"

There were muffled sounds of understanding.

"Good" Alabast brushes off some dust that got on his uniform from the broken table. He walks back to his seat with his teammates and releases the darkness pinning them to the ground.

Hi teammates just stare at him. That was the first time they saw Alabast get truly mad.

"You ok there 'daddy'?" Yang asked.

"Much better now that the children are resting" He says as he looks at the 4 people still on the floor.

"I think that should stop them" Ruby nervously says.

"They wouldn't listen no matter what he said or did. This is probably the most effective way" Pyrrha states.

"Did you break his nose?" Nora wonders aloud as he sees Russel holding his nose that's bleeding. He just sat up and is on his knees.

"I don't think that's what he broke" Blake says as she looks at the broken table and the guys who seemed more like ghosts now.

"That was….something" Weiss doesn't know what to say. She kinda liked seeing Alabast get angry and get violent. She blushes, what's wrong with her. It was just Alabast shouting and driving a face through a table. Then he humiliated that person and his teammates. That totally wasn't hot, the way he talked down to them and made sure they knew their place. It's not like he looked cool while doing it.

While Weiss was sorting through her thoughts Yang just said them. "That was…kinda hot"

"What?!" Pyrrha whips her head over to Yang who was staring at Alabast who had his eyes closed.

"Nothing" Yang says.

The table goes into silence for a while until everyone finishes their food.

"Ok! Time for the next class!" Nora tries to get the group moving and away from what just happened.

The rabbit Faunus had already left but she wanted to say her thanks. It's just that Alabast was a bit intimidating to her and didn't seem to want to talk.
