19 Chapter 16: It's Over

(3rd Person POV:)
Everyone watched in horror as Kirito hit the ground, his swords abandoned at his side.
Ruby: (screaming) Kirito!
Ruby dashed towards Kirito using her semblance, before getting smacked away by [The Gleam Eyes], who slowly got back up.
Ruby: (yelling) AHH!
Yang: RUBY!
Yang's hair quickly caught on fire, her eyes changing color as she dashed towards [The Gleam Eyes].
Yang: (screaming) You bastard!
Yang quickly began to smack the blue monster as it continuously roared and began trying to smack everything.
[Hp: 910/750,000]
Pyrrha: We got to go help her!
Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora quickly ran towards to help, as Jaune began to shake.
Jaune: (horrified) He... Kirito...
Alice: (shaking) We both need to get Kirito out of there.
Jaune: (scared) But that monster managed to-
Alice grabbed Jaune and began to shake him by his shoulders. Jaune looked at Alice's face and noticed...
Tears were slowly welling up in Alice's eyes as she tried hard not to release any.
Jaune slowly took Alice's hands off of his shoulders, before slapping himself in the face. Alice looks up towards him, shocked.
Jaune: (thinking) Even though my friends are fighting, one of my closest friends is lying on the ground after fighting all those [Grimm], and his sister is ready to burst into tears, here I am, still scared...
Jaune then pulled out his sword and shield, [Crocea Mors], before looking at his friends who were fighting.
Jaune: (thinking) I wanted to be a hero, right?
Jaune then dashed towards the blue monster.
Jaune: (yelling) Alice! Take Kirito! I'll distract this thing with the others.
Alice nodded before running towards Kirito's downed body and taking it with her.
[The Gleam Eyes] roared once again and threw the fighters off of his body.
[The Gleam Eyes]: (roars)
[The Gleam Eyes] then swung his sword down over Pyrrha's downed body.
Pyrrha tried to stop it with her semblance, before closing her eyes. She was too exhausted.
Pyrrha: (thinking) I guess this is it. This is as far as I've come. I wish I got to see one though...
As the sword came down, a loud clang was heard, and Pyrrha opened her eyes.
Pyrrha: (thinking) I was wrong, I did see one...
There stood Jaune, blocking the sword with his shield, his [Aura] amplified around him.
Jaune: (roaring) GET AWAY FROM PYRRHA!
Jaune then slashed his sword into the chest of the blue beast, making it skid backward.
[Hp: 720/750,000]
Pyrrha: (thinking) A hero...
(Alice POV:)
I quickly ran over to Kirito, who was now laying down on the ground and quickly pulled out a [Health Potion].
Alice: Drink it Kirito, come on!
Kirito's body automatically spat it out, causing the potion to spill onto his face and onto the ground, causing the potion to shatter into pixels.
Alice: Kirito! Drink it!
Alice pulled out another one, only for that to shatter as well.
Alice: (thinking) What do I do? He won't take the potion! Wait...
Alice's memory flashed back to an anime she saw in heaven.
Alice: (thinking; sighs) I wanted my first to be something memorable, but I guess this will do.
(3rd Person POV:)
Alice pulled out another [Health Potion] and drank some before picking up Kirito and placing her lips on his, closing her eyes. She then began to force the potion slowly into his mouth. Kirito's body resisted at first before it eventually began to relax, and the potion went through.

Kirito slowly opened his eyes, before staring at Alice, who was still kissing Kirito. Alice opened her eyes and saw Kirito's staring right back at her. She quickly ended the kiss, before looking away.
Alice: Glad you're awake.
Kirito: (grunting) Yeah, glad I'm awake as well. Still can't move though.
Alice: That's fine, you did well.
Kirito: What about the boss?
Alice: (grimace) Still alive, though I should go help. Stay here.
Kirito: (panicking) I didn't finish the job?! Then I have to-
Alice: (stern) Rest. That's what you're going to do.
Kirito: But-
Before Kirito could finish, Alice pulled out a very familiar knife and aimed it in between his eyes.
Alice: (smiling) Don't forget that you did something reckless, though I warned you not to. If you don't listen, you can probably guess what happens right?
Kirito began sweating, making him speak quickly.
Kirito: (fast) UNDERSTOOD!
Kirito: (thinking) Why am I scared of the knife anyway? It's just a knife, I mean I already nearly died, so why...
Kirito used [Observe] on the knife before his eyes grew wide.

Alice: Well Kirito, stay here, I'll be back.
Alice quickly pulled out her sword before dashing towards the boss, while Kirito sat there, slowly sweating.
Kirito: (muttering) And I broke the rule of not getting hurt too, huh? I'm going to die...
Meanwhile with Alice, who had entered the battle, was now fighting blow to blow with the huge monster, while slowly chipping at its health.

Alice: (thinking) Almost there...
Alice continued to fight until she managed to parry the [The Gleam Eyes] blade away.
Alice: Seyah!
Jumping up, Alice swung down using [Horizontal] mixed with [Thermal Element].

Alice: (shouting) Jaune! finish it!
Jaune look surprised for a moment, before he nodded, with determination on his face.
Jaune: Stay here, Pyrrha, I'll be back.
Pyrrha: (blushing, looking away) When you come back, I have something to tell you...
Jaune: (nodding) Got it!
Jaune then picked up his trusty sword and shield, before charging.
Jaune: (yelling) It's over!
Jaune ran up to the boss and poured all of his aura into his sword, causing it to grow in size. His once one-handed sword turned into a two-handed long blade.
Jaune: (yelling even more) HAH!
Swinging downward, Jaune's sword slashed right into the boss, before finishing through, slicing right through him like butter.
[Hp: 0/750,000]
[Congratulations!]

But the notifications were simply ignored as everyone was cheering.
All: WE DID IT!
Everyone then proceeded to collapse from exhaustion.
Ren: (sighing) Glad this is over.
Nora: (smiling) Isn't it nice Renny? We get a break time!
Ruby: (groaning) Agh, my back hurts.
Yang: (panicking) Are you alright?
Ruby: I-I'm fine.
Weiss: (sighing) Glad that this is over...
Alice: Agreed.
Blake: (looking around) Wait, where's Kirito?
Everyone began looking around, panicking until...
Kirito: (from far away) I'm here.
Everyone watched as Kirito slowly appeared, using his black sword as a crutch.
Ruby: (SCREAMING) KIRITO!
Ruby immediately used her semblance to dash towards Kirito, who made his sword vanish and picked her up, holding her high.
Kirito: (grinning) Hey there Cookie Monster.
Ruby: (smiling with tears in her eyes) Welcome back, Kirito!
Yang: (jogging towards them) Kirito!
Kirito: Hey Yang.
Yang: (grinning) You bastard!
Kirito: Huh?
Yang then grabbed Kirito into a chokehold and began giving him a noogie.
Kirito: (yelping in pain) Ow! Ow! Ow! Stop!
Yang continued the noogie only harder.
Yang: Even though we told you not to get hurt, you still do!
Yang then let go of Kirito, who begins to wobble around, dazed.
Weiss: (shaking her head) You got yourself injured, even though we told you not to, good grief. I'm glad you are okay though.
Kirito: Sorry.
Weiss: (turning red, blushing, looking away) I-It's not like I cared or anything! Hmph!
Kirito: (sweatdropping) Classic tsundere, huh.
Blake then came up and forced him to look him in the eyes.
Kirito: Y-yes, Blake?
Blake: Fish. All you can eat. You pay.
Kirito: (sweating) B-but I don't have enough mon-
Blake put one hand on [Gambal Shroud] and looked at him in the eyes once again, her eyes shimmering with determination.
Blake: Try me.
Kirito: R-right, got it.
Blake let go with a satisfied look, then began to stare away from him.
Kirito: (thinking, crying) There goes my wallet.
Then, the future team, JNPR walked up.
Ren: (sticks out hand) Good job brother.
Kirito: (grabs it) Same goes for you brother.
Ren: (scratching the back of his head) I didn't do much though, so I don't deserve that much credit.
Kirito: But you still managed to fight off that thing, which I should point out, was above all of our levels.
Ren: Bro...
Kirito: (wiping his nose with a single finger) so you definitely deserve some credit.
Nora: He's right Renny! We all did a good job, so you can't say you didn't do a lot.
Ren: (smiling, sighing) Yes, yes Nora.
Kirito then walked over to Jaune, who was talking to Pyrrha.
Kirito: Yo Jaune, how you feeling?
Jaune: Kirito! Did you see it? I managed to beat that thing! Me!
Kirito: Yeah you did well.
Jaune: (smiling) I felt like one of those heroes I wanted to be, you know what I mean?
Kirito: (frowning) You weren't like a hero Jaune.
Jaune's smile quickly plummetted, and he looked down, before looking away.
Jaune: I-I guess you're right. It's just a stupid dream after all. I under-
Kirito: Let me finish. Simply killing a monster doesn't automatically make you a hero Jaune.
Jaune: (confused) Huh?
Kirito: Let me ask you this, what is a hero to you?
Jaune: A hero is someone who can save everyone! They are people who everyone in the world loves, and they are really strong!
Kirito: Sure, that is what you think a hero is, but you aren't wrong or right either.
Jaune: (confused again) Huh?
Kirito: You don't need to have all that fame and glory, along with the power to be a hero. You aren't like a hero, but you are a hero.
Jaune: Then who's hero? Who am I the hero of?
Pyrrha: (grabbing Jaune's sleeve) M-me...
Jaune turned around, confused for the third time in the conversation.
Jaune: What?
Pyrrha: Earlier, when I was on the ground, I couldn't move. I sat there and accepted my death. Yet you appeared. You blocked the attack that should have killed me and saved me as well. So to me...
Jaune: (slowly realizing) Wait, then...
Pyrrha bonked Jaune on the head lightly, before looking him in the eyes.
Pyrrha: You are my hero, Jaune Arc.
Jaune's eyes slowly widened, before he grew a large grin. He threw his fists into the air before yelling.
Jaune: (shouting) I'M A HERO!
Kirito: (smiling) Good for you buddy.
Jaune: Thanks Kirito, no, you are my brother now. You've helped me realize that I don't need to show off and prove to people that I have what it takes to be one. Now I need to improve as one.
Kirito: (smirking) Are you sure? Being a hero, no matter how big or small, has a lot of obstacles.
Jaune: Yup, cause now I know...
Jaune grabbed Pyrrha and pulled her close to him, making the red-haired spartan yelp in surprise and embarrassment.
Jaune: I'm a hero and helped someone. Now I need to be able to protect people, even if it's just one.
Pyrrha stood still for a while as if deciding something, before standing straight.
Pyrrha: You know Jaune...
Pyrrha then grabbed Jaune and kissed him, causing everyone in the area's eyes to widen in shock. This went on for a while, before Pyrrha let go, causing Jaune to stumble backward, his mind not fully registering what happened.
Pyrrha: A hero deserves a reward after all, even if it's a small one.
Everyone stood there, flabbergasted until Nora piped up with her own shocking statement.
Nora: Oh, we're kissing the people we like? In that case...
Nora quickly pulled Ren into her arms, before giving him a kiss as well. Once again was everyone shocked, though some less than others.
Kirito: (thinking) Congrats brothers, both of you.
Alice: (grinning) Oh, are we doing this?
Yang: What are you talking about?
Alice: I guess this is a good time to point out that Kirito and I aren't blood-related.
Kirito: (dawning upon him) Wait a minute, Alice, don't tell me...
Alice: Yup!
Blake: What does this have to do with anything.
Alice grabbed Kirito and pulled him into a kiss for the second time today.
RWBY: WAIT A MINUTE!
Ren: I should have seen this coming...
Nora: Yay! More kissing for everyone.
Pyrrha: (hand over mouth) Ara ara... I mean (cough sounds) Oh my!
(An: I had to do it, it fit her character. I'm sorry!)
Jaune: (laughing) HAHAHA, nice going Kirito!
Alice released the kiss, only for team RWBY to look at Kirito like they were yanderes.
Kirito: (thinking, sighing) That's 5 in total, but I deal with it later. I hope there isn't anyone else I'm missing.

Neo: (sneezes) ACHOO!
Torchwick: (sliding into her room) Are you okay Neo? Are you sick? Are you hurt? Do you want me to nurse you?
Neo: I'm fine dad, just a sneeze. Might be the dust around here.
Torchwick: (smiling) Glad you are safe.
Neo: (thinking) Why do I feel so jealous? Hmm... I know! I need more ice cream!
