9 Aura training

The dimly lit cave sits at the large wooden table with a fire raging in the background. On the table is a mountain of paper and books, on one side of the table is Raziel staring down with a clueless look on his face, on the other side is Akari as she slowly explains again.

Akari "all those with a soul can use aura, it is a manifestation of the soul, not the soul itself. Each creature's aura may differ in color, most people believe it to be the color of the soul but there is no hard proof that will let us be sure of this."

Looking up at Akari, Raziel nods his head up and down slightly as he takes notes on the important facts.

Raziel "So when you say it's a manifestation of the soul and from what I know it can be used as a shield, why can't it be used as a weapon? And if it is a form of spiritual energy is there any other form that it can be used for."

Akari "So far no way to make aura into a weapon has been found but using it to enhance attacks isn't not heard of. Of course semblance takes aura, think of it as you being the battery, your semblance the engine and your aura the electricity."

Akari stands up from her seat as she looks down onto Raziel.

Akari "turn around and close your eyes."

Doing so Raziel turns his chair around and both covers and closes his eyes

Akari "now then, everyone within the state of [The Shroud] which is when you cover yourself with a shield of aura can also use [Sixth sense], this basic technique is when you expand a thin layer of aura outwards and can tell when an object moves through this space and can feel others with aura looking at you. Though if people with the ability to hide a little of their aura look at you it may be harder to find you."

As Akari explains this Raizel starts to cover himself in his aura, a golden light starts to form over him. Slowly extending his aura out he feels the eyes of Akari staring into his back, the eyes seem to extend into a sliver of aura around the eyes like a gateway to the soul.

Akari "good job so far, now I will show you ways of using it to sneak. I have mastered [silence] and [Absence]. I don't want to overload you with info in one day so in short [silence] means lowering your aura output making it harder for others to sense you and [absence] is cutting it off completely."

As she says this the feeling of her eyes piercing my back seems to disappear with only a sliver of it left. It takes me a bit to find this sliver, as she keeps talking I lose the complete feel of the aura as all that's left is her voice.

Akari "of course there are other forms of using aura but for myself, I trained in stealth. It can be used to strengthen the body and make your weapon strike reach further. But no other ways to use it in combat."

Akari "A lot of people train in one or two types of aura hence it's best if you pick your fighting style and then pick your aura type training. I can help you learn stealth aura usage but nothing else."

- Raziel Pov -

Thinking it over, I still need to find out where cross tails is and the fighting type it fits with, I would say stealth and misdirecting through the aura. If I can't make a weapon out of aura, what if I make them react to my wires while they are coming from a completely different direction.

As I was thinking it over, Akari closed a book, snapping me awake from zoning out.

Akari "Just to let you know once your punishment is over we are leaving this place and heading to Mistral to meet my family and talk to others your age, and gain friends. I will warn you now that beings like humans hate us faunus, for now, I'll just keep it at that."

The thought of seeing the rest of the world brought the wonder of my childlike self back as the idea of seeing new and amazing things fascinates me.

A smile lashes my face as my imagination runs wild, thinking up lands untouched by people, creatures that have never been seen before, how civilization has grown so far. It's fun reading the books here, but they were made before the great war so they're outdated.

As Akari talked about the rest of the world Raziel's face seemed to brighten, every time she brought it up Raziel would always ask with such wonder and curiosity. given time to relax, she stands up and leaves the room to go and rest.

Akari "clean up the table before you think about going to sleep"

Looking back at Raziel the high he just had turned into a low as his ears and tail flop like a dog being told off, he starts to gather everything together as fast as he can. The books are placed back in order of genre. the paper placed into what research is written on the paper.

After an hour of cleaning up, Raziel walks to his room falling straight onto his bed, falling into a deep sleep as his mind drifts.

Time passes as the lockdown Raziel was put under by Akari months ago flew by. There was only one week left till they start their journey towards Mistral, Now nine years of age Raizel has started to gain some body definition.

The same scarf wrapped around his neck, with heavy fur coating covering his whole body like a blanket. walking through the snow his footprints leave a trail behind as he starts to look around for the last time.
