9 Faunus

The next day I decided to go and see the festival coming up, Weiss invited to come with her team, the streets of Vale were decorated in time for the Vytal Festival. Red, yellow, and green streamers and balloons are proudly on display, Weiss Schnee was in the front of the group guiding us.

Weiss stopping and raising her arms in amazement, she was quite happy about said festival, "The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!"

Ruby frowns a little at the display of happiness Weiss was showing, "I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much, Weiss It's kinda weirding me out..."

Weiss turning to Ruby, "How could you not smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances! Parades! A tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!"

Yang sighs, arms crossed, "You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring."

I looked at Yang and said, "Well, that's a useful skill, haha."

Weiss turns to look at us, "Quiet, you two!"

Yang, as they stop near the docks and the sounds of foghorns, are heard, "Remind me again why we're spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?"

Ruby covering her nose, "Ugh, they smell like fish!"

"Princess, when you asked me out, I expected something more... date like... this is boring," I said, knowing what was going to happen.

Weiss looks at me, "I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom! Dating and fun are after we succeed! Jack, not that I want to date you or anything."

Blake looks at Weiss and the turns to me, "She wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament, this is your chance to escape Jack, run and don't look back."

Weiss scoffs, "You can't prove that! and I know Jack won't do that..." Weiss turns around to see me running far away from them.

Ruby tries to run, but Yang stops her, "WHY SISTER WHY!!?"

Yang looked at her sister and said, "If I have to waste my Friday afternoon, so do you!"

Meanwhile, once I get off them I decided to spy on them for a while, at the very least until they get to meet Penny, she was and will always be one of my favorite characters in the show, once I managed to get close to them without them noticing me I hear Weiss talking about the Faunus and White Fang.

Weiss scoffs and crosses her arms and points her nose in the air with her eyes closed, "Hmph! The White Fang, what an awful bunch of degenerates!"

Blake gets visibly angry, "What's your problem?"

Weiss turning to her, "My problem? I simply don't care for the criminally insane."

Blake crossing her arms, getting serious, "The White Fang is hardly a bunch of psychopaths, they're a collection of misguided Faunus."

Weiss scoffs, "Misguided? They want to wipe humanity off the face of the planet!"

Blake looks down for a bit, "So then they're very misguided. Either way, it doesn't explain why they would rob a Dust shop in the middle of downtown Vale!"

Ruby said, trying to defuse the situation, "Hmm... Blake's got a point. Besides, the police never caught that Torchwick guy I ran into a few months ago... Maybe it was him."

Weiss said angry, "That still doesn't change the fact that the White Fang are a bunch of scum, those Faunus only know how to lie, cheat, and steal."

'How could I forgot, she hates the Faunus, regardless if they have or they don't have something to do with the dust her family is missing,' I thought with anger and sadness.

I jump off the building and land in front of them and taking a look a Weiss that is smiling that I'm here I said, "I heard what you say, and it's really sad to know you are just like Cardin, pathetic... judging all the Faunus for the sins of some,"

Weiss looked at me and said, "They should all just go and rot and jail, all Faunus are bad!"

I start walking away, and with a dead tone, I said, "Pathetic."

Blake is looking at me intensively, and Yang and Ruby don't know what to do, while Weiss is angry that I don't share her racist opinion.

[Hope-P.O.V this part is all hope so when you see - I said is Hope]

I had just arrived in the city where my older brother was studying, the decorations were beautiful, but I didn't have time to stay and admire them! I had to find my big brother and all I had was pictures of his friends, Weiss, Pyrrha, Yang, Ren, Ruby, Nora, and Blake, if I manage to find one of them they would lead me to my brother, and I would be able to see which one of the girls had what it takes to be my future sister in law.

As I walked through the streets, I found four of the ladies my brother had been talking about, but just to be sure I check on my scroll their pictures and after a minute or two of looking at them I was sure they were my brother's friends, as I approach them I hear them talk.

Weiss holding up a poor drawing of the criminal-in-question, "The filthy Faunus from the boat!"

Blake gets angry, "Why do you keep saying that?!"

"That's mean!" I said, getting just in time to add my bit of opinion, how dare she talk about the Faunus like that my brother is the nicest man in the whole world.

Weiss turning her attention from Penny to Blake, "Huh? and you are?"

"I'm Jack's little sister, Hope Stark, a pleasure to meet you... or at least that is what I would say if you weren't such a meanie!" I said angrily.

Blake smiles at me turns over to Weiss, angry, "Stop calling him a rapscallion! Stop calling him a degenerate! He's a person!"

Weiss motions to objects around her "Oh, I'm sorry Would you like me to stop referring to the trash can as a trash can? Or this lamppost as a lamppost?"

Blake and Hope, "Stop it!"

Weiss looks insulted and said, "Stop what? He clearly broke the law. Give him time; he'll probably join up with those other Faunus in the White Fang!"

Blake growls, clenching her fist, "You ignorant little brat!"

Weiss looks offended, but when Blake walks away, she follows, saying, "How dare you to talk to me like that! I am your teammate!"

I stay in the back with Ruby and Yang. I know this Weiss lady is not the woman for my brother, Blake seems nice and these two for the moment are nice.

"Come with us, we'll take care of you until your brother gets back," Ruby said, stretching a hand for me to take it.

"I'll even give you the secret cookies Ruby hides in her bed," Yang said, laughing while Ruby started to cry.

"Deal!" I said happy, cookies and the chance to find my brother earlier, this was the best deal ever!

Well, I was wrong, I've been waiting for my brother in Ruby's room for four hours, and Blake and Weiss are still fighting.

"Hghhh, kill me," I said, putting a pillow on my head to silence their discussion.

Weiss looks at Blake, "I don't understand why this is causing such a problem!"

Blake looks back at Weiss, "That is the problem!"

Weiss getting up from her bed, "You realize you are defending an organization that hates Humanity, don't you? The Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil!"

Blake gets on her feet as well, "There's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate Humanity so much? It's because of people like Cardin, people like you, that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures!"

Weiss looks offended, "People like me?"

Blake nods, "You're discriminatory!"

Weiss said, going to lean over the window in their room, "I'm a victim... you want to know why I despise the White Fang? Why I don't particularly trust the Faunus? It's because they've been at war with my family for years — War, as in actual bloodshed. My grandfather's company has had a target painted across its back for as long as I can remember. And ever since I was a child, I've watched family friends disappear; board members executed; an entire train car full of Dust, stolen. And every day, my father would come home, furious. And that made for a very difficult childhood."

Ruby going over to comfort her, "Weiss, I-"

Weiss takes a step forward, angry, "No! You want to know why I despise the White Fang? It's because they're a bunch of liars, thieves, and murderers! The Faunus are a group of worthless and scum; they should just all die! and let us humans be!"

I take the pillow out of my head, and stare at Weiss, did she just said my brother should die... did she really wish for him to die, he said she was his friend... even here they hunt and mistreat him.

Blake takes a step forward, "Well, maybe we were just tired of being pushed around!"

Silence drops down on the scene again. A surprised Weiss backs away slowly, and Blake realizes her mistake as she looks around at her teammates.

Blake realizing she just admitted what she was, "I... I..." not knowing what to say, she dashes out the door at full speed.

Ruby runs over to the door and calls to her down the hallway as Yang sits herself down, and Weiss looks down. "Blake, wait! Come back!"

My tears start to fall on the floor, as Yang and Weiss turn to look at me.

"Hey, it's okay; we'll find Blake and your brother," Weiss said, approaching me, in rage, I slap with all my might.

Yang stares at me.

"Is that what you think about the Faunus?! is that what you think about my brother! you want him to die!?" I shouted in the room, both Yang and Weiss look at me like the answer to another question had been given to them, "I hate you! And I don't know why my brother said you were his friend, you big meanie! my brother is the nicest guy in the whole world, you don't deserve him!..."

Yang approaches me and hugs me as I cry, while Weiss looks through the window.
