25 The Dance

"Mom!?" Yang once again commented as Neo was separated from the older woman's lips.

"Yes, Yang?" Raven didn't even flinch.

"Oh yum. Pass me the syrup cup, Rae?" Neo asked as Raven handed her a little cup of syrup, which Neo used to dip her french toast sticks in.

"Doesn't even phase you, does it?" Ren asked with an awkward scratch to his head.

"Should I freak out? We did more than kiss in the two months" Neo said after gulping down her breakfast, which reddened everyone but hers and Raven's faces.

"Mom!?" Yang looked absolutely mortified and Ruby took to hiding in her hood.

"G..Girls can.. do that?" Weiss seemed confused and muttered.

"Oh Weiss.. you sweet summer child, you" Neo snorted in amusement.

"What are you thinking about, guys? I mean like we bathed together, saw each other naked.. I even applied lotion on her at the beach one day. I'm pretty decent at massages" Neo nodded with a small smile.

"She is" Raven agreed.

"But.. are you.. dating? She's what? Eighteen!?" Yang stood up but became very fearful as Raven's expression darkened and she gave Yang a 'did you call me old' look.

"I'm legal and therefore legally fuckable. Raven is a hot MILF too. That's maturity you see" Neo informed her and Raven smirked.

"See? She understands" Raven pridefully stated.

Ruby squealed in embarrassment at Neo's words. Weiss was too busy thinking how girl on girl works. Blake and Pyrrha had red faces. Ren was covering Nora's ears as best he could.

"To answer your question, Yang.. No, we are not dating" Raven got up again, noticing Yang's sigh of relief.

"But you can call me 'Mommy' if you want, Yang" Neo didn't let the chance to tease slip by as Yang's expression flipped between extreme embarrassment, amusement and annoyance.

"No, the only 'Mommy' here is me" Raven rubbed her hand up Neo's cheek and gave her a look.

"Keep that up and you'll awaken something in me. I'll become a switch" Neo dryly chuckled.

"EW please flirt with my MOM elsewhere!" Yang practically turned green as she heard their back and forth.

"She'll have plenty of time for that in Combat Class. Raven's more than qualified and Goodwitch needs to do a few things before the Festival. I reccommended it to Ozpin" Neo finished and slides her tray away from her as Raven smirked.

"No.. Neo, no.." Yang practically begged.

"NEO, YES" Neo smiled maliciously as Yang paled.

At that moment, Yang wanted to curl in on herself and die.

-Beacon, two weeks later-

It was exactly as bad as Yang thought it was. No, it may have been worse. Combat Class became the class she dreaded the most. Although she improved under her Mother's guidance greatly, it was when Neo fought that made the class Hell for her. Whenever Neo fought, she always saw her Mother check out team JNPR's leader.

When Neo flipped back, she saw her Mother's eyes glued to the short girl's ass. When she moved fast, she watched her chest bounce. She was pretty sure all of the class knew about it too, since she would get looks of sympathy, amusement and ill-disguised curiousity.

Finally, it was time for the dance. Unfortunately for half of team RWBY, they had no dance partners. Nobody asked Ruby since they were terrified of the increasingly annoyed Yang. Nobody asked Yang because of the same reason. That and she was busy fleeing at the sight of her Mother with Neo. Even though they weren't flirting all the time and she often saw Pyrrha and her partner, Blake along with the new nurse. They had this strange clique going on that nobody apart from them could understand.

Weiss wanted to go with Neptune, Sun's teammate but he turned her down for some reason and it upset her. Yang went to go set him straight but she saw Neo drag him over to the library where Weiss was, by his blue hair. In the end, he admitted to being awful at dancing so he tried to spare himself of the embarrassment, which was stupid as Hell. He was verbally abused by Neo and Weiss until he was kowtowing to Weiss and asking her to dance with him, which she accepted.

Yang had an evolving opinion of Neo over the two weeks. From grateful, to weirded out and annoyed then back to thinking she was cool again.

Currently, team RWBY and JNPR were setting up the dance decorations. Yang was setting up speakers, Weiss was choosing the colors for the dance decor and Blake was helping Ruby set up colorful streamers along the walls.

JNPR were all at a table and Pyrrha, Ren and Nora were looking at Neo with pleading eyes.

"Hey, guys! What are you doing sitting down? We need help here!" Ruby shouted and pointed accusingly at them.

"We're trying to get Ladykiller Leader here to sing at the dance!" Nora announced.

"You can sing!?" Weiss strolled over with interest.

~I do have Casey Lee Williams voice..~ Neo cupped her chin and thought.

"Maybe?" Neo responded, seemingly unconvinced she can.

"I hear you sing in the shower after training, you're really good!" Pyrrha stated, eager to hear her sing.

"That's just shower singing. What'd I even sing besides the dozen songs I remember off the top of my head? Most of them aren't even dance songs.." Neo shrugged.

"I'll help you then!" Weiss slammed her palms on the table.

"There's the issue with setting up the actual music for them too.." Neo scratched her cheek but Weiss just pulled out her scroll.

"Done. We can make at least three songs by Saturday" Weiss stated confidently.

"You're so into this, Weiss-Cream!" Yang grinned at the awkward face Neo made.

"So who votes on Neo singing at the dance?" Ruby asked and raised her hand up high, followed by everyone but Neo.

"Majority wins, come Neo!" Weiss grabbed Neo's hand as she sighed.

"Fine fine.. I choose the songs though" Neo rubbed her eyes as they saw Weiss run out with the short leader in tow.

"Hehe.. revenge for these two weeks. So sweet" Yang puffed out her chest.

"Is that wise, Yang? Neo will probably get you back" Blake offhandedly commented.

"You wanna hear her sing or not?" Yang knowingly asked her partner, who just kept quiet in affirmation.

"As long as she doesn't pick any particularly offensive songs.." Ren quietly murmured.

"You mean the 'jizz in my pants' song she sung in the shower three days ago? What does that even mean, Ren?" Nora poked her head up and asked.

"I'll.. uh.. tell you later" Ren coughed and deflected.

"What the hell is with her songs.." Yang's face got awkward as she started thinking what that song entailed.

-Beacon, the Danceroom-

Ruby had just shown up to the dance, stumbling in on high heels with the grace of a fish on land. Yang was in a short white dress and giggling at her younger sister. The next person to arrive, was Raven. Accompanied by Qrow who hadn't dressed up at all. She was wearing a slit black and red dress with a pink, brown and white sash across her waist.

"Wow you actually did dress up.." Qrow stated in disbelief, which Raven scoffed at.

"Of course. I do have someone as my date. Unlike you" Raven nudged him.

"Oh.. right. Still not used to that" Qrow sighed with a headshake.

"Well I'm going to keep watch. Have fun" Qrow backwaved and walked outside to the balcony nearby.

"At least he's not drinking" Raven remarked, pleased to see he wasn't going to get wasted at a school dance.

She walked over to team JNPR and RWBY, seeing a few of them stand on the sidelines. Weiss was in her white dress, dancing with Neptune, who had gotten a little better. Blake and Pyrrha were waiting, she could guess who for.

"No dance partner, Yang? Ruby?" She came up and asked.

"Mom..? Oh god.. of course. I have no date but my MOM does" Yang groaned.

"Oh! Uh.. hi Raven? Nobody really asked me.. hehe.." Ruby awkwardly but dejectedly answered.

"Yang don't cockblock your sister. It's just a dance" Raven sighed.

"But some guy could-" Yang started to defend herself but Raven retorted again.

"You really think that would happen with all of us around?" Raven rolled her eyes.

"Maybe..? Er.. so, Weiss! How did the training go?" Yang switched topics before she could get chastised more.

"I'm proud of what we did... she's ready" Weiss puffed out her tiny chest.

"That's high praise coming from Weiss!" Pyrrha smiled eagerly.

That's when Neo walked in. She was dressed in a red, black and gold dress with a pink sash around her hips. She attracted a lot of eyes. Her hair was done in a long wavy style which covered up her left eye. She looked enchanting and stole the spotlight of the dance immediately as soon as she walked in. She heard a whistle from who she knew as Neopolitan, disguised in her black haired pigtailed form. She saw her in a pink and white gradient dress. Neo gave her a wink, which made Neopolitan's eyes light up.

Neo made her way up on the stage, where the DJ was situated next to. She took the mic as soon as the current song ended.

"Oh she's here! Wow she's pretty!" Ruby excitedly commented, looking forward to this rather than the dancing part.

"Very..." Pyrrha's mouth was open and Blake's ears were twitching under her bow.

"I never liked dances and formal wear before. I see the appeal now" Raven hummed to herself with a budding grin.

"All right everyone. Since I was dragged into singing for y'all, I'll do my best to entertain best I can. This song's called 'Paper Moon'" Neo signaled the DJ, who started a song with a song with a heavy metal guitar intro.

The spotlight was on Neo now as she took a deep breath and started.

"I'm falling, down into my shadow, grasping onto every breath

as I inhale the deadly night

It's scary, but don't show it in your eyes

Witches lurk within the night, their carriages are everywhere in sight

See you in your dreams, yeah, baby

You'll find me there, inside your nightmare!

Fairly blue, for you I'll crush the stars and tear the night apart!

There's nothing we can't do, black paper moon

It will be alright, believe in me

When you're lost, here I am.. forever with your soul

Look into the sky when you're in need, beneath the shining moon" Neo chose one of her favorite openings from one of the first series she watched back in her past life.

Though she was embarrassed to sing in front of everyone and the self doubt was evident in her head, the crowd loved it. Not to mention the dazed teams RWBY and NPR. After seeing their reactions, she lost her stiffness on stage and started moving her body in tune to the song. After it was finished, she sighed.

~Respect to the musicians who go up on stage and sing.. Actually, no. Respect to ANYONE who goes up on stage to perform in front of people~ Neo shook her head before signaling the DJ again.

She picked the songs carefully. The first one being hopeful and sentimental. The second one, she chose a dance song. This one, she needed to show off her confidence and charisma. Luckily, she had a large charm boost.

"Alright get ready to dance for this one. This song's called 'The Phoenix'" Neo grabbed the mic off the stand and kicked the stand behind her as the song started.

"Put on your war paint!

You are a brick tied to me that's-dragging me down

Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground

We are the jack-o-lanterns in July, setting fire to the sky

Here this comes it's the rising tide so come on!

Put on your war paint!"

.

.

.

Neo started the dance in proper, couples dancing together and even people without partners joined in. Ruby and Yang being one of them. Pyrrha and Blake were just staring in awe as Neo danced and moved her body in rhythm as she was singing. Neopolitan was constantly whistling and clapping in beat while she danced in front of Neo, drawing a smile from her.

"Hey young blood!

Doesn't it feel like.. our time is running out

I'm gonna change you, like a remix

Then I'll raise you-like a phoenix!" Neo strutted and even showed a bit of leg to Neopolitan, who licked her lips, though nobody but Pyrrha, Blake and Raven saw it.

The rest of the song continued on until its climax. Neo stopped at the second one before she saw the silhouette of Cinder going up to the roof and grinning.

"I'll be back for the finale! Enjoy the music in the meantime" Neo walked off stage, much to the crowd's disappointment.

~Time to fuck with Cinder again!~ She smiled gleefully and disappeared into the crowd.
