Chapter 4

The shattered moon was high in the sky and the rain was pouring down. Caleb was still lying under his tree with water running down his fur and over his Grimm's skull.

Another positive point that he had found to be a grimm was that he no longer felt the cold, to tell the truth he didn't really feel much, even sleeping had become useless to him since he no longer felt tired. .

He stood there with his eyes open watching the starry sky and the rain falling as he pondered what he should do now that he was all alone with nowhere to go.

He could try to find a new pack but deep down he didn't want to become the monster he had become but he knew very well that there was no chance for him to go back to living with humans now. because people would run away from him or try to kill him then images of the little one came back to his mind, images of her standing in front of him not being scared even wanting to touch him, maybe.....

He shook his head in disagreement knowing full well that if he tried to return to the city the only thing that awaited him was certain death.

He erased that option from his mind and then thought about another event that happened in the city, when he killed that beowolf and his essence entered his body. The feeling he felt was really strange, as if he had absorbed the power of the beowolf and added it to his own.

Yet the feeling was short-lived as if what he had absorbed was only very weak. Now that he thinks about it, he'll probably have to fight again whether against grimms or even humans.

The thing he had to do now was get stronger if he was to have a chance of surviving and for that the grimm trail was his best bet.

If killing other Grimm allowed him to strengthen himself, it was his best chance of surviving even if there was a risk of doing that because he could find himself facing a Grimm much stronger than him.

The second thing he thought about was finding more grimms. He could go back to the dark lands where the grimms came from but it was too risky because he was just a simple beowolf and there might be too many grimms for him to handle.

the risk of him attacking another grimm and then all the other grimms attacking him together was too high. He thought for a moment and found something. If the grimms are attracted by negative emotions and well his best option was to find a source like another city or a village because if he can feel them the other grimms can too, he will only have to kill them discreetly while they are not expecting it.

He closed his eyes waiting for the rain to stop and the day to break.

He closed them even though he knew that sleeping was no longer useful to him, but by reflex he did it, as if some human habit was still there.

He listened to the falling rain and the different sounds of the forest, strangely it made him calm. The more he listened the more the noises began to disappear until there was no more noise. He felt what looked like a hand caressing his head, he opened his eyes to see that he was no longer in the forest but in a place that was unknown to him.

Everything was completely black with some red highlights. he found himself in a sort of void, he looked around and his eyes widened in shock when he saw his human body and not his grimm body. He was like lying in this endless void.

He tried to move his arms so he could check if it was real but he couldn't move an inch. Suddenly a woman's voice was heard.

"Don't try to move, it's useless, just relax!"

He looked up to see where the voice was coming from and that's where he saw it. The woman with extreme white skin with black veins running through her body and wearing a black dress and a sinister smile on her lips. She was the woman he saw in his vision before being reincarnated.

He was currently lying with his head resting on his lap while she stroked his head.

He wanted to speak to ask her who she was but no sound came out of his mouth, it was impossible for him to speak.

"Look at you...I've never seen anything like it! A man reincarnated in a grimm, you're really special, you know that?"

"However you are just a simple beowolf, I wonder what you will be able to do with this new life and how powerful you will become!"

He really had a hard time with this woman. She gave off a kind of pressure that made him nervous deep inside.

She then leaned over to him and put her mouth to his ear and whispered.

"Fight! Get strong and when the time comes....I'll make you mine!"

Suddenly the void began to melt and his mind was sucked in, he woke up suddenly and looked around. He was back in the forest but the sun had risen and the rain had stopped.

"What the fuck was that! What the hell just happened! Who the fuck was she and did she have anything to do with me being reincarnated as a grimm..."

Several questions swirled around in his head but no answer came to him. He shook his head to collect his thoughts and then stood up.

"It's useless to think too much about it for the moment, I'll have my answers sooner or later for the moment what matters is to become stronger!"

He straightened up and got on his four legs, then began to run through the forest in search of a new source of negative emotion.

He ran for hours or even days without stopping but he still felt no emotions. After an endless race he ended up feeling even if it was extremely late the same feeling he had felt when he approached the city.

He headed in the direction of the emotions as best he could and managed to find the source. He left the forest and far away he could see a small village much smaller than the town where he had been.

From what he could see from where he was the village did not seem to have any huntsmen, which was good news for Calec and apparently the village had already been attacked by grimms seeing some buildings being destroyed and the fear that came from this small village.

"Perfect, that's just what I needed!"
