17 Chapter 17 - Recalling White Fang and Returning back

Ghira and Nephrite were sitting in a room, waiting for Sienna Khan, the last puzzle piece, to this entire operation.

Soon enough, she had entered alone with only her weapon to accompany her. She was a leader and caution was a must at all times.

"I've heard about your fantasies, but do you think they will come true?" She sat down and confronted Nephrite straightaway, completely ignoring Ghira.

"Tell me, why was White Fang created?" Nephrite ignored her question and struck with his own.

"Of course, it was to bring forth equality for Faunus that you humans never gave us." She said almost on an instinct, she even had her weapon ready.

"Do you consider the poor Faunus your equals? Do you consider crippled Faunus as something that would stand on your level?" This question he fired stunned her.

"What nonsense are you spouting? I am a revered leader of a huge organisation. How could a waste that can't even support the cause be on the same level?" Ghira was getting ready to stop this escalating situation, but Nephrite stopped him.

"Really now? And why should someone that controls a hundred times more resources and people talk to you as an equal? If you are a leader of a huge organisation that grants you privilege, why do you seek equality then?"

"That isn't the same! They have thrown us into this godforsaken corner of the world to rot. You enjoy every piece of resources while our kind suffers quietly!" She slammed on the table.

"Resources? You think that stealing a measly amount of resources from the hands that stand at the absolute peak will give you a fighting chance? You think that this behaviour of yours wouldn't someday cause a second great war?"

"They won't dare!"

"Dare what? The only reason your organisation is alive is because of face. They wish to appear as amicable rulers in the eyes of the public, but what if the public wants you dead? Right now they don't care because all they see is news of the rich losing some dust. In fact, they may even celebrate if they hate the hegemonies like Schnee.

They are like fairy tales that are interesting to hear about, but something that has nothing to do with them. So imagine the surprise when they massacre innocent passengers. Wasn't it something that had almost happened?"

Sienna was arrogant and disdained humans to some degree, but she was still a leader and a genuine leader knows what was happening instead of living in ignorance.

"*Sigh, and so what? There isn't a better alternative. Fear is the best and most effective weapon that had ever worked!" She finally sat down and calmed down somewhat.

"Sienna, you are forgetting something. Fear brings Grimm and Grimm brings destruction, pain and misery, which brings even more Grimm. Right now humans feel fear only when they meet White Fang, but if they feared them constantly?

The nation would be in danger at all times, which would be unacceptable for the leaders. And even if they ignore White Fang to deal with Grimm what if they fall? If humans were to be wiped out then how could your people survive? This foolish errand of yours is just a path of mutual destruction."

"And what are we supposed to do then?! When Ghira was in charge almost nothing had changed except some small laws that were easily overlooked!"

"And this is where I come in. Right now dust is seemingly infinite but the mines are slowly dwindling and most continents had been already explored and only some more hidden mines are there somewhere in the world.

Instead of wasting the lives of your brethren why not use them for a greater cause?" Slowly Nephrite put out his cards on the table.

With the help of water dust the Faunus scientists were already slowly changing parts of the desert near Kuo Kuana and results had quickly shown themselves.

"Recall White Fang and use them to bring Faunus to even higher heights like you always wished. You know that in past your people had uncovered a lot of dust mines but they were inaccessible because of the harsh weather and lack of technology to work in said weather.

I can provide both said technology and change the environment to a greener and more habitable place, I know you are not a bad person otherwise Ghira wouldn't let you succeed him that easily.

All I need in exchange are some things and for your organisation to stop spreading fear and panic. What do you think?" Nephrite pulled bunch of photos out of his inventory and threw it to Sienna.

The photos shocked her, the once barren place has transformed and grass was already sprouting everywhere. The soil itself didn't even look like sand at all.

"Is it really possible?"

"It is, if you recall your brethren and use them to create an environment where you can live it can also become a status and a symbol. Stop using your stolen creations like they are some prized possessions and create your own, superior ones. Only then can you proudly stand on the same level without anyone that can legitimately complain.

Actions speak for themselves and violence isn't the only action you can use in this case."

"Very well, I will put my trust in a human at least for once." Soon, the atmosphere became more amicable and was no longer tense.

The very next day Sienna sent her most trusted subordinates to every part of the world her organisation was in. It would have been a near impossible task to recall such a large amount of people if not for Ozpin using his connection with James.

James also had faster technology and could travel faster than what the long-distance bullhead could. If everything went as well as it should, at least 70% of every branch should be back in a week or two.

As they waited Ghira and the warriors of Kuo Kuana had teamed up with Team RWBY and NNPR to clear out any Grimm that could threaten the project and the project had officially begun.

Right now the speed at which they could expand and change the environment was quite slow, so they had decided to transform a place with dust mine first.

After the warriors saw the results that could be seen in real time they worked very hard and their morale was at its peak.

The news soon spread, and a huge spark of hope was ignited throughout the town.

"Adam and the entire Vale branch had defected entirely?!" Sienna was flabbergasted, how dare he!

"What happened to the person I sent there?"

"They had beheaded him and declared him an enemy of Faunus and someone who colluded with humans." Reported a man with deer antlers.

Soon the news spread and Sienna worked hard to declare them as true terrorists.

'It seems that Adam held power far longer than I thought he would.' Nephrite mused, he expected that Adam would return here and he could confront him but he had long established himself it seems.

'Salem has probably hands in this as well...' He stood up after receiving the news cutting his rest short.

He wanted to stay here until Adam either came here or his power was taken away just to be sure, but now that he knew where the enemy was he could rest in moderate peace.

Even if Adam had acquired the strength of Vale's branch it was not even 1/4th of the entire organisation.

Soon enough his potential for growth using other Faunus would be null when Sienna and Ghira put out their official statements.

It has been a week and a half, and the batch from Mistral was already here. The speed had greatly accelerated, and they had managed to even start the mining operation.

This further boosted the morale of the Faunus and even citizens were trying to help and as news of this slowly spread throughout the world even some Faunus huntsmen and huntresses headed to Menagerie.

The pace was increasing, and they estimated that in 3 years with just White Fang's support they could transform up to 50% of Menagerie. The East side was the most mysterious and much was not know about it and it would also be their biggest hurdle.

But this wasn't Nephrite's concern anymore, he had planted the seeds and waited for them to sprout.

Perhaps he might regret it in the future who knows? But right now all that mattered was to get ready, Salem was knocking on the door and no one was safe if people tore it up from the inside.

Speaking of that, Nephrite had confirmed Cinder's existence after he snooped around a bit as their records appeared in Haven.

Torchwick was also a diligent worker though he was quite limited as he didn't have Neo on his side. What he did have however was a syndicate he built.

It wasn't the largest and Junior easily eclipsed his it was still a force that police couldn't recklessly tackle.

The defected White Fang had also shown itself and started cooperating with Torchwick on many occasions. This time although he had given some tips to the Police and Schnee a considerable amount of dust was actually stolen from the port.

It wouldn't change much though as Nephrite knew what was going to happen and frankly stopping the train was laughably easy.

All he needs is to collapse the tunnel somewhere in the middle and reinforce the end and they could do virtually nothing.

Truly knowing your enemy is such an advantage that couldn't be underestimated...

Another day had passed and Nephrite was watching Blake as she bid goodbye to her parents and they had departed. A considerable amount of Faunus had came to bid them goodbye too after they learned it was him behind this whole operation.

It was a nice gesture but Nephrite soon forgot about it. This time they were travelling straight to Sanus through the Ocean .

There was a small town that acted as a beacon for commerce between Menagerie, Sanus and Anima.

Although it was still considered as a part of Anima it was a pretty vast island. The only problem was the Sea Feilong that was lurking around waiting for a prey...

As the bullhead was close to a small island, a huge Grimm that resembled an eastern dragon had made its entrance.

*Roaaaaaaar

It roared and soon gathered its breath to launch its lightning breath.

"Pilot dodge aside!" Nephrite's closed eyes opened, and he startled the Pilot. For a split second he panicked before he listened, sped up and performed a huge manoeuvre.

The beam nearly hit the bullhead and opened up a wide gap in the ocean.

The bullhead dived before suddenly using its speed to change its direction upwards at a sharp angle.

RWBY and NNPR were all awake at this point and prepared themselves to fight. Nephrite told the pilot to land on the island before tasking Nora and Ren to defend the Bullhead before it's lured away.

Ruby had also thrown out her commands and soon Weiss's glyphs had appeared in the sky locking the Sea Feilong for few seconds before they broke.

It was enraged and opened up its wings before flying at the bullhead.

"Yang!" "On it!" Ruby called out for her sister and she jumped out and punched the Feilong in the face disrupting its charge before being blasted away on the island.

Soon flames could be seen, and Yang used her shotgun shells to boost herself before confronting it again.

The bullhead landed and Blake, Ruby, Pyrrha began to shoot at it whilst Nephrite went ahead to confront it as well.

It used its Wind Gust; it was so powerful that Yang and Nephrite had to retreat, Weiss's Glyphs had been broken right away and others' projectiles were slowed down before they harmlessly missed or landed on its body.

Then the Feilong used its lightning breath once again. Everyone dodged aside as the beam had created a long scar that stretched for dozens of meters.

The fight continued on and the Feilong attacked everyone as if it was probing before it locked onto Blake and used its wind gust ability before channelling another lightning breath.

This time Nephrite was ready for the wind gust and approached the Feilong from its blind spot before jumping dozens of meters and landing on its body.

He punched it, changing its angle of attack before he started using his sword. 7 slashes had appeared on it in an almost instant and it roared in pain, trying to get rid of Nephrite.

Seeing as it was not working it plunged itself into the water and Nephrite had to jump off.

Soon enough Nora had appeared with Ren staying behind to protect the pilot and the Bullhead.

The Feilong didn't wait for long and once again appeared with its breath almost charged. Nora wanted to tank it and used the lightning to overpower it.

"Nora stop! It's too powerful for you!" Nephrite quickly intervened. Thankfully, she heeded the warning in time and in the end dodged.

"Ruby power her up that's enough!" Ruby nodded and took out a lightning dust ammo.

Nora knew what to do and charged at the Feilong and as she was near it she jumped in the air and was hit by a lightning bullet the next instant boosting her speed.

After spending the time fighting Grimm every day, they had developed a sense of rhythm.

The Feilong wanted to eat Nora, but she slammed it with her hammer blasting it to the ground. Weiss quickly used her glyphs and summoned Ice across its entire body before summoning more glyphs to hold it in place.

"Pyrrha end it!" He yelled as he summoned his pillar above its head and Pyrrha accelerated its falling speed.

*BOOOOM

By the time the dust settled from the huge impact, Feilong's body was already disintegrating.

Nephrite threw his pillar back into his inventory before sitting on the ground to rest.

"I'd say that was Seatastic teamwork!"

*Smack*
