The Ghost who is lost

The kids would just throw a rock at the poor little girl who only wanted to be their friend.

"Shoo shoo!" The boys yelled as they pushed away from the girl as if she was a kind of animal who brought misfortune to others.

"Why do I even bother living? When from the moment I was born, my fate was already decided, and that was to suffer." These thoughts are running to my head over and over.

"Tsk... I don't know why I am being bothered by your crying face. I hate it!" He said confusedly as he suddenly felt concerned towards me.

The elegant flower vase that was placed on the table suddenly floated in the atmosphere--- To be precise, the ghost made it flew as he could hold stuff so quickly. He aimed at the head of the beast as he pointed the vase against the beast.

My eyes were widened, stunned by the action of the ghost. "He's not trying to kill this animal, right?" I mumbled to myself, wondering about the movement of the spirit.

The ghost suddenly chuckled. He was filled with excitement about what he was about to do. He raised the vase higher. The beast did not have any idea what he was about to experience.

"Well, if it is this man, I won't be bothered that he may get killed." despite being surprised, I felt relief without any sign of remorse.

With a click of the finger, the ghost released the vase above the beast. It shattered dramatically on its head, causing it to collapse as the blood flowing all over the area.

At that moment, I saw a chance to grab that opportunity to escape from the beast's possession. Unfortunately, The beast remained unconscious with no sign of waking up. I returned the favor to the beast; I kicked him many times, releasing the pent-up emotions towards the beast.

"You son of a--- Go to hell!" My anger started to overcome due to the thing that the beast almost did to me.

"Hahaha! If you want him to go in hell, just kill him." The ghost chuckled from amusement as he is trying to tempt me to kill the unconscious beast.

I stopped and glared at the ghost. "Why did you suddenly help me? Aren't you mad about before?" I asked seriously, but the boy just laughed at my face as a response.

"I'm not mad. Besides, I didn't do it for free." He finally uttered his intention. "I knew it! What do I even expect?" I released a small sigh, looking back at the teacher. "Will he die from blood loss?"

"Probably? Well, I don't care either way. Let him die."

I didn't particularly appreciate how he handled the situation, but I am not able to argue with him since he helped me. Although, I can't leave this situation as it is. So instead of ignoring the unconscious person, I took my phone out and dialed 911, but as soon as the phone started to ring, it shut down itself.

"Huh? What happened? Is my phone broken?" I tried to open it once more, but there's no sign it will open the way I want it to be; the spirit moved his face closer next to mine with his displeased expression.

"Who cares if one person dies? He did something nasty, and that is his punishment."

I know I thought of killing him earlier, but I didn't mean it.

"And didn't you noticed? There's a CCTV attached to the ceiling." As soon he mentioned the CCTV, I looked at it, and he was right. But how did he? Is he that clever to notice everything?

"No one will believe that everything here is not your fault. The CCTV only records the things with the physical surface, and I don't have such as that." He continuously explained as if he were a detective, I didn't even have any chance to argue with the ghost!

I raised my surrender flag. I'm at a loss for words.

"What do you want me to do?"

Letting a ghost order me around, what am I even thinking?

"I will take care of everything. You just need to get outside and wait for me." I don't know why he went far like this, although I am grateful, I am curious about the price of all this.

When I'm about to go outside, he stopped me.

"Are you planning to go outside with that state? Are you that bold?" Now that he mentioned it, I noticed my upper shirt was ripped off.

I felt as though I was struck by lighting. He is damn good at noticing everything!

"Here, use this." There was a shirt that flew directly to me. I examined it; he wanted me to wear this? "What are you waiting for?" And he is very impatient!

As he said, I wore it. It was big for my size, but it was okay either way; this is much better than before.

"Now go and wait for me outside." He sure is bossy that it's irritating.

I stepped outside; I left everything to him. Also, the neighborhood is so quiet. I'm glad they didn't hear anything; I would be in so much trouble if they found me here and that teacher's body.

I walked not-so-far from the place, and after a wind gust, a sudden sound could be heard inside that house.

I was shocked, "W-what the hell is he doing inside?" The sound was getting louder every second pass, and it seemed like much glass was being broken and shattered.

It was so noisy that every single soul in the neighborhood was alerted by it. Because of that, the whole area went outside and started to gather in front of the teacher's house.

I got nervous somehow.

"Mori-san? Mori-san, are you there?" Even though everyone was there, the sound didn't stop as if it was no one who could halt it. Everyone appeared to be worried that much to decide the open the door, but when they were about to open the door. The door itself opened for them; my two eyes nearly popped out of its shells.

"Ahhh!" Everyone screamed in fear.

"Hahaha!" I was startled when the spirit suddenly appeared behind me.

Oh my god, is he crazy? If I had heart disease, I would have died before long.

"Those humans will do their job." He spouted; I stared at him. His face is telling me that everything is getting interesting. Should I be thankful he saved me? Ugh, hard to believe I'm in debt with him.

"Did they see you?"

"Yeah. If that moron wakes up, no one will believe him after all. I'm just a spirit~" Hearing that from him, I think he took care of everything without having any problem.

Now I have a problem, and I got involved with an evil spirit. Euclece will surely kill me. Ah!--

"Don't worry, If no one will believe you. I'll be there for you and trust you." I stopped thinking when he said that, gazing through his eyes which were full of sadness.

Ah, what is this? Did he just say he'll trust me?

"Thank you." I'm really at a loss for words. He beat me with that kind and cruel words, "I'm Latrice." and finally said my name to a ghost.

"I'm Ruru." But my whole body froze when he told me his name. I was shaking when I looked at him closely. I saw a white-haired, green-emerald-eyed ghost with a pink phone attached to his right eye.

"P-pardon?" I was stuttering, shaking. To think I would cross paths with him.

"Listen carefully; my name is Ruru. Got it?" He whispered agonizingly.

I had a flashback from what he said before, 'These humans are foolish,' 'No one will care if one dies.' I understand now why he wants that teacher cold dead back. Does that mean---He already killed him?

"Grandma, how's your health?"

I ended up at the hospital after that incident. This was on my plan from the start.

"I'm fine... I am apprehensive about you. It would be best if you ate properly. Can you even cook?" I don't know if that's the sound of concern; for me, it sounds more like an insult, grandma!

"I'm already 17 years old, grandma. Stop saying something weird." I pouted. "More importantly, you should focus on your health rather than worrying about me. Okay?"

"I will; your mother is outside. Why don't you talk to her?"

Even you say that... That'll just be an absurdity.

When I stepped out of the room, I saw my mother sitting in the waiting area. She didn't even bother to go inside and have a little chat with us.

She then raised her head to face me, of course. I stopped in front of her, but as time went by, I felt getting suffocated. There was no sign of her talking, so I just bowed as respect and left.

Well, I never expect that I would get to have a conversation with her anyway.

Leaving her like that as if we weren't blood-related. At first, it was hard, but as time passed, everything became normal.

When I got outside, Ruru was waiting for me well-patient. Ruru was staring at the sky out of the blue as though he was lost.

He said he was Ruru? To recall, that name belongs to the boy who jumped into the 13th-floor building of Omi-Hachiman station hotel. Not only that, the live stream yesterday! I don't think this is a coincidence.

"Latrice-chan! You were so late; I thought some ghost blocked your way out here."

Saying my name with stress already? He said this ghost is undoubtedly different from other spirits, and he decided to follow me wherever I go. It'll be a pain if I disappear out of his sight.

"Ru.." I feel the hesitation in calling him by his name, but he turned to me and smiled widely. "Come on, don't be shy, and just call me by your likings. I don't understand why most of the humans are so timid like you." He then pouted cutely.

I'm not timid. If you can just read my mind, you'll be double dead by my cussing.

"Ruru-kun, are you sure that you're not the one who sent me the live stream?" I interrogated him once again.

I won't be at peace unless I get to know the truth.

The ghost put his hand on his face, "Ughhh! You are so persistent! I told you I didn't!"

So he's telling me to believe all that? Then why did he knew I could see spirits?

"Anyways, I hope you didn't forget that I helped you. You must pay me back."

He's changed his color so quickly! Okay, let's just finish this so we can be happy-once-again.

"What is it?" I spouted in a cold tone because I was so tired of it all.

However, I didn't expect him to get fired up just like that. He was sparkling, and somehow an imaginary tail was wagging off out of nowhere.

"Will you..." A sudden gust blew right through my ears as he proceeded to say his demand.

"Will you find my family and friends?"
