4 Chapter two

Authors note: I just want to warn most people this chapter is filled with a lot from the original chapter (one of runts by CyberWolfWrites) so most of the credit goes to the her for the amazing chapter. however I have changed a few parts.

As I made my way to the field I thought over all the reasons as to why we could be meeting here. We never meet here. As I continued to walk there other pack members came into view, there confusion is also present. Rumours were flying that is was the king.

As I approached, I saw everyone was lined up in rank order which doesn't normally happen. It also meant I was stood on my own. Although my family are quite high rankings, I was made a runt because of how small I am and how I wasn't the child my parents wanted.

They pretended to care so they didn't lose there positions but really they constantly made snide comments towards me and made me move to the pack house.

I stood off to the side waiting patiently when I realised we weren't alone. A powerful aura had filled the field and everyone including me turned to stare in the direction of the aura. There approaching was two tall and proud figures surrounded by many wolves in what looked like very expensive armour, I quickly realised they were warriors and the one next to our alpha was the Alpha king.

I am one of many to slide to the ground quickly and kneel onto my knees as I lean in submission. Within a matter of seconds everyone was down on there knees submitting.

It wasn't until the wind hit that a curious scent filled my senses. It smells like forests and the smell after it rains. It was such a relaxing scent, I could smell it for hours. It quickly disappears once the wind stops blowing. We're all still on our knees.

"Dark Moon" a power filled voice calls out. "Please rise while your alpha speaks with you all." I rise up awaiting our alpha to begin.

"Thank you all for coming, the reason I've called you here is for our king. He needs strong wolves who are good trackers and fighters to help locate his missing mate and female pack members." Alpha Alec tells us, his voice clear and and echoing throughout the field. Many gasps were heard.

I couldn't understand why the king came to our pack for help but I couldn't help the great disappointment I felt for the fact I would never get chosen. 'I'm a runt that's why' i think to myself.

"Everyone is already in rank order so we shall announce the members chosen to go soon", Alpha Alec announces.

The king takes over, "The members chosen will only have a few hours to pack as we are leaving at lunch time to arrive at the kingdom tomorrow lunch time. The journey will be a day long and we will be sleeping somewhere along the way. Only pack the essentials, I can't stress that enough."
